If I have to pick one, I'd try to stop gambling and start smoking or I can have both I'm sure going to die anyway.

Seriously, both addiction is hard to stop and both are worse. I'm a smoker myself that even now that I have a family of my own, I will still sneak out when all are asleep just to have a cigarette break. I'm not losing a ton of money when I smoke though.

To be fair we don't compare these two to each other, at least not me cause you started topic with this subject.
On another hand if we still discuss about that, then I would say addiction is addiction, doesn't matter whether it's cigar or gambling cause they have one thing common: Dependence.
Your brain releases dopamine when you smoke cigar, for some people that light headed feeling is amazing, for me personally, I hate cigarette cause of it's feelings. Brain does the same when you gamble too, for example when you win, it rewards you with dopamine and noradrenaline, these two hormone makes you happy. For me, it's based on what you can easy to access or provide.

both are only the same in terms of addiction. it depends on a person if what they are willing to lose, it is only health or money or both. cigar won't hurt your pocket and it will affect your health and your family while gambling can affect everything in your life if you cant control it

If I had to choose one, I'd choose cigar addiction. Money can always be earned and as long as you're really into it, I doubt it could kill you as long as you know how to manage your money without asking for debts and all of that. On the other hand, cigar addiction not only affects you but everyone around you plus the environment itself. They are both addictions, therefore they are both a disease and should be stopped. Cigar addiction, however, is the typical substance addiction while gambling addiction is more directed toward a person's behavior. Both are destructive, as true to any addictions, but I guess gambling is destroying more than just cigar can. I mean, cigar addiction is basically killing oneself slowly but gambling addiction is killing the self, the relationship with others, the family, the work, the resources, and so on. Just wanna say my experience as I'm smoker as well as gambler. For me it is harder to stop from cigar than gambling, I tried many times to stop smoking but I failed. On other side, I still able to control when to start and when to stop gambling but I cant do it on smoking. Comparing these two, I would prefer not to pick any because none would make you find yourself in a good place. Depending on looking at either short term or long term. For gambling addiction, one can totally get useless in a short period of time because by the time all the money goes into it, you borrow money to gamble and even get to steal money just to gamble, the uselessness will the legendary in a jiffy as everybody concerned will see it. Cigar addiction on the other hand, would like take its toll on the body after a long period of time because of its health implication to the lung. So for the two, I would pass.

When it comes to a financial situation I believed gambling is more than worst than cigar addiction. You can't use even 1 pack of cigar a day with a small cost but when in gambling even your 1-year savings can be lost if you are in gambling addiction. On the other hand, gambling was also a bad habit if the user loses its own control over losing money one after another. They are both far away different as you stated but their addiction were distinct in one's personal reason. Here in my place where cigar isnt really that prohibited but there are warnings that being drawn into its cigar box about health issues

Sharing my experience tho..

Iv’e been addicted on both cigar and gambling on the same time, Both of these vices started with simply some stress that I want to reduce    After sometime it becomes my hobby that turns into addiction. After weeks of being stress I’ve noticed that I am being dependent with these two vices that it becomes my daily routine.

A simple problem blooms into another problem, After realizing that Iv’e been dependent to this vices. So I decided to stop this vices, Tried it on a slow procees. I tried switching to vape and It’s a successful switch. I also tried to stop playing gambling and It is more difficult than I am thinking before, I tried not playing slowly day by day. It feels so hard.  

Heres the conclusion. In  the end I can’t stop playing gambling , I just reduce the addiction level. Its really hard for me    Though the cigar addiction were completely gone because of vaping. I found the satisfaction on vaping. I think I can’t find other things that can make me completely satisfied than gambling.

Smoking cigar may give a relaxation to those who are smoker, so it can be considered as a profit for them. I believe smoker wont agree with the statement that there is no profit of smoking. For me, I cant compare both as they are not apple to apple comparison as they are completely different. I'll tell you a little about my history of years ago. Over 10 years ago I started playing video games. I played a lot of super mario bros, mortal kombat, super tank Nes and many other kids games (I say kids because the graphics were so bad and they were old games that I played when I it was smaller), the case is that a lot of people called me a game addict, then I switched to computer gaming and people increased their evil comments about me. I didn't care if people called me a game addict or No. My point is:

In my case I played 6 hours a day, but I did my things away from home and I had many days I had no time and so I didn't play.

The only moot point here is both can be define as addiction. But to choose the lesser evil between the 2? I would choose smoking easy.

Been smoking for many years now and up to know I can't really quit it. But  there are times in my gambling addiction that I can stop it right away, days, months, or even years. But giving up smoking takes a lot of mental discipline and you can't just go wake up tomorrow and say I'd stop.

I would say the worse one is the one that you can't control even though you see the reason why you got addicted but still you choose to continue. Both addiction will be harmful for an individual so no one can conclude that which is more worse because it depends on the situation of people who got addicted but when see the number of people dying every year due to smoking and the cancer the number is huge so its kind of worst in my opinion.

Most of gamblers I do believe do have this both things together where they are smoking while they do gamble.Both things had effects if you

Although some people already have no money to do gambling, they will do anything to get money easily. Gambling brings out the worse in you, you can lose everything in just a short period of time, and you can become miserable and all your health will deteriorate because of depression, while in smoking it will take ten or more years to feel the effect of cigarette addiction, I don't want to have any of these two but gambling can kill you instantly once you lose everything.

I think that addiction and hobbies are different and you ask about someone who likes sports as a form of addiction, it's definitely a different thing. Regarding cigar addiction and gambling I think all things related to addiction at least it will be a problem if you do not have control, because even if you are addicted but when you have control I think it is still in the category of fine.

At the same time tobacco in any form may cause cancer in long run similarly gambling even in small amount but in regular basis may end up making you poor over the time. You are right though, but to an extent I feel cigar addition is even more preferable.  I would be having a lot of joy and happiness smoking my cigarettes if I happen to be addicted and if any health challenges would occur in future which is not always common I would be suffering it alone but the bad side of gambling addiction is that it affects everyone around the addicted player.

That is what we should learn and know that we can get a better life if we decide to stop cigar and gambling addiction. Well if you consider the scale of what's going to be affected, chances are, gambling addicts will affect more people than cigarette addicts. As you've mentioned, some people would resort to stealing just to fund their habits. Whereas cigarette addiction is more on an individual effect, though for me, it's more severe. Addiction to gambling can be removed. And once a person successfully get rid of that, there's a good chance to recovery. Cancer though gives you less chance of getting your life back.

But after thinking for a while, maybe that is true because when we have a gambling addiction, we can lose everything, and we will be hard to stop. I agree with your point. Gambling gives an adrenaline rush, a thrill which cigar can never provide. You can turn out to be a winner in gambling but for cigar addiction, you've got nothing to win, just to lose on your health and eventually money.

It might hard for other addicted smokers to afford the increasing price of cigar but again if you really want to smoke there's a way to be able to buy it, not different to gambling addiction. When your lungs are irreparably damaged due to heavy smoking, your whole life will have long been ruined due to gambling. You can be a chain smoker for 20 years (and still be mostly okay as far as your lungs are concerned), but you can't be a gambling addict for the same amount of time unless someone else manages your finances (read, you can't waste all your money within a year or so)

And addiction, and especially a gambling variety of it, is not something you can just stop or give up since otherwise it wouldn't be an addiction. Cigarette smoking and gambling are two different activities that one can get addicted to it. Each of them is harmful in a way. I don’t think quitting gambling is so easy, if you can quit gambling at will that means you aren’t addicted, if you have suffered or know anyone that has suffered from gambling addiction then you would understand better. It’s better to be addicted to cigar or tobacco than gambling.

I have seen and know a lot of people that have been addicted to cigar and then stop it when they wish to but this is impossible with gambling addicts. But stress and depression can cause deathly because if we cannot think how to solve the problem, we will end up our lives without thinking about too long. There are so many stories that tellings about one person killing himself because of stress and depression.

Each are worse than the other in some form. There are people who have been affected with lung disease, but they aren't smokers. Same time there are people who have stressed themselves out of gambling and caused so much health issues. When a man is free from everything he won't go for a cigar or some addictive. Comparing addictions between cigarettes or gambling, I think none of them are good, both are very bad!
even if told to choose I will not choose because both of them make our body sick in various aspects of mental and physical, will eventually lead to a death, cigarette affects physically = you can die, gambling affects mentally = you can die from too much stressing.

Although other people treated gambling as form of entertainment, but the sad thing on it was addiction and lost of property due to extreme of activities linked to it. Better to avoid it because it is the best choice since both are dangerous especially if you are so addicted to it. Addiction is a kind of disease that is so hard to cure so prevention is better than cure. It's not just smoking or gambling it could also be alcoholic or drugs addiction. I guess we really can see differences in the said two addiction. Although it's a fact with what you've said and it's a true scenario that happens elsewhere because of the known cause.
