What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction

I think gambling addicts are worse than cigar addicts, the reason is ... being a gambling addict because it can cause unlimited financial destruction and if it cannot be controlled will become addictive and will encourage the most dangerous characteristics that will lead to uncontrolled frustration and will cause insanity and even committed suicide.
There seems to be a lot of news about suicide gambling addicts because they are involved with large debts or huge losses due to defeat which frustrates them and ends their lives by committing suicide.
Being a cigar addict will damage your health, especially the heart, but it can still be overcome to be reduced gradually and has been proven in various ways that they use.

As can you see all their replies are saying both are an addiction but for me, the worst is cigar addiction because doesn't give any benefits in our health. Unlike gambling, there is a possible time that you can earn money while in gambling. I personally hate those people who are using cigar near me but it is opposite to those gamblers who were I knew, I want to know their technique and strategy in gambling especially in playing cards.

All forms of addictions are really not good, we have to take our own responsibility and self-control. Moderate our selves are the key to avoid addictions.

The name of addiction will always be bad but compare to them i think cigar addiction a little lighter because never attack your brain indeed you will have a problem with your health because for long term effect cigar addiction will attack the lungs but gambling addiction can influence your mentally and only special treatment will cure them and for cigar addiction i have seen in my environment people can totally stop smoking without being helped by mentally healing so in this case i consider gambling addiction is more danger to us

Between two I would go with Gambling addiction beacuse people who are badly effected have lost not only their savings but have huge loan on them and might even lose their house etc or effect their health any which ways , relationship is spoilt etc . So cigar is not going to effect that much as gambling does .

Cigar is already proven by science to be hazardous, not just for the smokers itself but it is even more harmful secondhand smoke. This indicates the greediness and corrupt in nature of humans.

Gambling can only become bad when it is excessive and is out of the control. There are many positive reasons why people gamble. It is entertaining, it can remove stress as it relaxes your mind free from work and other duties. And not all gamblers lose money, some others are earning.

Both has risk:

Cigar= Health
Gambling = Addiction/ Mess up ones life

Benefits:

Cigar= I don't see any benefits
Gambling = Entertainment/possible for you to earn money


Both is addictive and if I do have to choose then i'd rather gamble,yes

Smoking cigarette can calm or relax your nerves you can add that to the benefits of cigarettes. but then again the negative effects of both cigarette and gambling outweigh the positive effects.
the only difference is, in gambling, you either win or lose while in cigarette is you'll always lose. but if both were moderated the effects will be lessened or none at all.

Extreme love on something can be called as addiction,even we know that is is not good for us we still smoke because our mind wants it since it became one of our daily habit and the same thing goes to addiction.Why people call this as bad because the benefits are no to much less for addicting to this and this only give short term pleasure but in long term you will suffer a lot.

Considering the health implications of both,  cigar addiction is the worst of all,  
Gambling addiction health implications are just heartburn and perhaps stress other related physical ailments like back pain
But as for cigar addiction there are lots of health implications from it ranging from cancer of the lungs, heart disease and whole lots of other diseases

They say that even the bread is not healthy when you eat much more than needed.On this context both are bad habits but I think gambling is a bit worse when you become addicted as your brain doesn’t think clearly and almost always make bad decisions.Smoking only affect your health and not moderately in most of the cases.

I think that both are as bad as each other. Just the way this goes is way different.
Smoking is more bearable on long term and may or may not kill you.
Gambling addiction will most probably lead to financial problems which lead to personal problems, stress, depression and so on, which can (but not necessarily will) also kill you (and it's not only the case of suicide).

The interesting part is the "good things" related to these, the moments that can lead to addiction.
While gambling brings adrenaline, fun and with a little thinking can be done without getting into addiction, smoking gives you nothing at all. Some may say it is good against stress, but there are a ton of alternatives, some may say it's good for social acceptance, but imho if a group accepts you only if you smoke you may be way better without it on long term.

In my opinion, both are equally horrible in their own ways. I would not say that one is worse than the other. The worst case scenario would be a combo of both these addictions which basically leads to ruining one or more lives.

There are no positives from either of these addictions. If someone gambles for fun, they are not addicted. I would even add alcohol addiction to this comparison though it is a little less horrible.

Just wanna say my experience as I'm smoker as well as gambler. For me it is harder to stop from cigar than gambling, I tried many times to stop smoking but I failed. On other side, I still able to control when to start and when to stop gambling but I cant do it on smoking. All in all, any addictions is not good at all as anything over is never good for us so we should have limit for it.

So what’s the point?that people should stop smoking and just use the money for gambling?lol I don’t see things in either as positive outcome

You smoke and health at stake ,you will go to hospital you will lose money and you die

You gamble and you lose money.your family will starve and so as you and you die

I think cigar addiction is worse because its not just about spending your money to sustain your eagerness to smoke, but also your health is at risk and can cause severe problem if you dont control your addiction.

On the other side gambling addiction is different, it will rob your money and everything that you have until you're penniless. It does affect your relationship to your family and other people. Its more on mental health, thinking how to chase your losses or how to pay your debt.

Well this depend on the extent of the addiction, because any kind of addiction is bad.

Since I hate cigarettes I will definitely agree on this that it’s much better to gamble than to buy cigarettes,the amount smokers consume for daily dose is enough to gamble in dice game and my have chance to win “Money” and not “Lung Cancer”

Comparing these two, I would prefer not to pick any because none would make you find yourself in a good place. Depending on looking at either short term or long term. For gambling addiction, one can totally get useless in a short period of time because by the time all the money goes into it, you borrow money to gamble and even get to steal money just to gamble, the uselessness will the legendary in a jiffy as everybody concerned will see it. Cigar addiction on the other hand, would like take its toll on the body after a long period of time because of its health implication to the lung. So for the two, I would pass.

Cigar is the worst, if I have to choose what addiction is better I choose only gambling addiction. I really hate smoking and I once joined an anti-smoking community because it really affected health. Not only the active smoker but people who are passive smokers can get the impact.

For me, the worse is gamblibg addiction. Why? Because you will likely lose all of your money and even worse if you are using your family, friends or even borrow from other people/company. It can affected your family financial, and your family's financial would be in trouble if you don't stop your gambling addiction.

Cigar addiction is worse because it leads you to a lot of debilitating diseases, you can cure gambling addiction but on cigar addiction, there will always residue that's going to be left, in your body, a ten-year gambling addict has a chance to survive than a ten-year smoker.
cigar addiction is killing you slowly mentally and physically, on gambling, you will become poor but you still have good health.
