Anthony Pettis canceled his participation in PFL4 event because of illness and Alex Martinez will fight against Brazilian Natan Schulte.
Event is starting in soon and there are still some interesting fights that should not be missed like Bubba Jenkins vs Bobby Moffett.
My main picks are Claressa Shields and Bubba Jenkins to win.

I was surprised to see Showtime  Pettis being so low on the rankings. I was expecting more. In contrast, Rory Mac is doing really good right now. I can't really tell how good other PFL fighters are when compared to former UFC fighters, is it that they are just that good or that the ones that transitioned to PFL are just on the tail end of their careers.

Bellator 260 preliminary fights just started and main fight will be for welterweight title between Douglas Lima and Yaroslav Amosov.
Odds are showing small advantage for Douglas Lima but anything can happen in this fight especially if you see perfect 25-0 record for Ukraininan challenger Amosov.
Alex Polizzi just won the fight against Gustavo Trujillo in prelims, and there are few more interesting fights to watch as warm up for big fights in UFC tomorrow.

One more win for Yaroslav Amosov in Bealltor 260 against Douglas Lima and with his perfect 26-0 record I could see him in UFC some time in future and he could be a good addition for Welterweight division.
Next event is on June 25th Bellator 261: Tim Johnson vs Valentin Moldavsky

Very interesting to see one more crypto betting websites adding MMA betting events, but I think that I never used Betfury website so far.
Now I need talk with them to organize some nice promotion and competition for our Bitcointalk MMA community. Smiley

I guess as the sport is growing more and more, so will the gambling sites take interest (and they do), and then the crypto betting sites should catch up. I would love to see some promo and comp on this forum, so if you can do it by any chance, the community thanks you Smiley

PFL is back with new event PFL5 and main event Rory MacDonald vs Gleison Tibau in Welterweight category and both of them are ex UFC fighters but they never been together in octagon before.
Rory MacDonald is a huge favorite like odds are showing and he has big reach advantage and he is a lot younger than Gleison Tibau.
Co-main event in classical USA vs Russia and I would give slight advantage to Russian Nikolay Aleksakhin who is in great run, but Ray Cooper III should not be underestimated and I expect to see KO in this fight.
Fights are starting in less than 24h and they are a nice warm up for upcoming UFC fight with Korean Zombie vs Dan Ige.

It always seemed to me that Rory has more mileage on his body compared to Tibau, so the age difference might not play a big factor, but I still go for RoMac. Is the prize in PFL still 1mil? Or was that a different type of tournament? Can't really get a grasp on their concept.

Gleison Tibau managed to win against Rory MacDonald but it was a split decision and maybe crazy lockdowns in Canada had bad effect on MacDonald.
Interesting that none of the fights from PFL5 didn't finish with KO or TKO, and next event is PFL6 scheduled for June 25th.

Bellator 261 Tim Johnson vs Valentin Moldavsky is next heavyweight fight event in Bellator and classic United Stated vs Russia battle.
Co-main event is interesting female fighters Liz Carmouche vs fighter from Japan Kana Watanabe that has almost perfect mma record.

Really sad to hear about Rory's loss. I don't think it's the lockdowns, unfortunately, it's just wear and tear I talked about earlier. Sure, Gleison is no schmo, but once upon a time Rory was on the top and it killed him. Maybe it's for the best he didn't get that win against Lawler, the title defences would just end him.

Anthony Pettis is back again in fight against fighter from Brazil Raush Manfio in lightweight category and main event of PFL6 is reserved for girls this time in fight Kayla Harrison vs Cindy Dandois.
I never watched Harrison in fight before but she has perfect 9-0 record so far and she was Judo Olympian competing for team United States.
Dandois is heavy underdog in this fight and looks like everyone is betting on Harrison to win...odds are crazy.

Two days until start of Bellator 261 interim title fight in heavyweight category between Timothy Johnson and Valentin Moldavsky in United States Vs Russia clash.
Russian fighter Moldavsky is a big favorite like odds suggest, he is younger and coming from five wins, but I think that Timothy Johnson has a real chance to win here.
He has 3 inch reach advantage and he is good in stand up, finishing a lot of his fights with KO or TKO, but I am thinking this fight is going to distance.
Champion Ryan Bader had to leave vacant place because of Bellator's light heavyweight grand prix coming.

Bellator and PFL events are starting in few hours but big news is that Fedor Emelianenko is back again in fight scheduled for October 23 in Moscow!
Fedor is legend now 44 years old, with 39-6 MMA record, and Bellator is still looking for fighter who will challenge him, and there are a lot of names under consideration.
This will probably be his last professional fight in front of his Russian supporters in Moscow.

In PFL6 Anthony Pettis lost second fight in a row and this time it was by split decision from Raush Manfio, and Kayla Harrison won in first round in dominating way with armbar submission in main event.
Valentin Moldavsky won in heavyweight fight Bellator 261 against Tim Johnson and he now holds a title in Bellator.
We are now taking more than two week summer break from fights in Bellator.

The legendary run by Fedor Emelianenko was when i was not a fan of the sport and i thought it was brutal and after becoming a MMA fan i started watching his old fights and the fighter that upset him when he was ruling the sport was Fabrício Werdum and he is also 43 years of age and a rematch would be great and i am sure it will big numbers for his last fight.

Let retired or older fighters stay retired or go to retirement. No need to grind it out for our viewing pleasure. We can't relive classic fights and when the age factor kicks in, you can be sure you would be disappointed with how it turned out. There is a completely new spectrum of fighters that are young and upcoming, we should focus, as fans, more on them.

Fedor never retired and he never had a farewell fight like many of legends had before, so I see nothing wrong to see him one last time fighting against some other MMA veteran.
Nobody is thinking he should fight with champions or fighters that are in prime, but Fedor is still 44 years old, not 84, in comparison with light-heavyweight champion in UFC Jan Blachowicz who is 38 years old.
Some other examples are Demian Maia 43, Yoel Romero 44, Andrei Arlovski 42, and I think there is a lot of space for young and upcoming fighters.

I mean a lot of fighters don't have a dedicated farewell fight, they just retire, and by retire, I don't mean handing in his official papers to the state, I mean him being inactive in the sport for some time. A year and a half of inactivity is a big deal when you are 44. And I am aware of the fighters you mentioned, but that doesn't mean it's a great idea for them to continue to fight at that age.

Fedor is training all the time, and he even has many young fighters that he is preparing for MMA with his team, he even asked for Fabricio Werdum rematch ten months ago.
I am not sure about his political career but you can check out this Russian documentary video released few months ago:

This exactly. Ok, I'll buy into the exhibition fight, sure, that would seem like a good bow out, good suggestion. However I don't think exebition MMA fights are something that's really done, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Ain't nobody saying he's not training hard, or even that he wouldn't win a fight or a rematch against Fabricio, it's that it comes with a higher cost that it did when he was younger. It all adds up on the body and the brain. That is all.
