ICO investors are more excited on exchanges than product developments?

I agree with you, the investor prefers a quick profit when the ICO or IEO is finished so that their money continues to spin not on hold by the project's still growing party. So most ICO or IEO is now no longer in demand because their projects are rambling and very long to list on market exchanges.
Although the list on the exchanges is faster the price also often drops from investors forecasts and makes losses. It has been this way the crypto development today, we have to follow their flow or will be left later in the future.

Most investors are all about the money there's no value anymore for the project to be fully developed, there's no time for them to wait but to liquidated the soonest that they can to gain profits. It's all about the money and how investors can make even little amount of benefits from the project that they've invested. There's no believers anymore who will wait for the full success of the project since the due to market situations  there's no longer confidence behind each new projects that being introduced, most turned to scam or unsuccessful and failed.

I have browsed a lot of Telegram groups coming from various ICOs, IEOs and other forms of token sales. When they announce their partnership with a "XXX" company or they have launched their v2.0 of their product, it seems that the community are kind of less impressed and not excited about that.

I agree with your observation here. I think the main factor is that by getting listed in exchange investors has an option to get their investment out of the project and nowadays we don't have hodlers like we used to have earlier keeping in touch with developments.

I think it's because most of investors are less confident nowadays when they invest in project. They are eager to take their money out. Perhaps they are mostly newbies. They only work according to hype and nothing else.

this is the reality that is happening right now. investors are indeed more interested in prices in the market, rather than the potential of project development. when they invest in IEO, they only have one expectation, that is, when the tokens have started to be traded in exchange the price rises. after that happens they will sell it and just leave. and in the end we will see a big dump after being listed on the exchange.

I am not one of those that only cares about the value of coins and tokens,i prefer to invest in projects with real working product for long term hold even if the price keeps falling there will always be a bottom since it is backed by a real life working product

I agree with you, but I also know how investors feel because I'm also part of them. last year I invested a lot in ICO projects, and many of them still don't have an exchange today. and there are some projects that have exchanges, not have volumes. I realize, I want my money back even though it's a little. the reason is because I've waited too long. this is normal if you have been waiting and patient for several years, and they always provide positive development information. but none of that talks about exchange.

and I don't blame them about this. but I really don't like it, if this is also done by investors who have only been a few days, investing and they keep demanding that they be listed on the exchange.

ICO investors are more interested in returns on their investment not what the project is about in most cases, hence, their excitement upon listing on exchanges. However, I do also think they are interested in project developments- especially those that can affect prices positively.

Yeah sure,  investors are really greedy nowadays, because its been a long time science a project that conducted a public ICO, made x10. Thats why nobody wants to wait for several years and give time to develop a product.

2 years of waiting is just too much if I am an investor and they have it in their roadmap and whitepaper, that they are going to list after two years, I would invest my money on Bitcoin and other top coins and not let my money sleep in their project, investors are impatient they want to see value and profit, you are not going to invest on something that is uncertain, they can do partnership but they should to their assignment and their duty to their investors by listing it to at least two exchanges.

Been an excited of the project that has invested in and the developer or the admin came up with a good news about the project and it also working towards the road map of the project, that is a real deal and there is more hope and joy, without wasting your resource, Having say that, is a Good-news to be excited on way forward of the project which can yield more profit.

Yes because if you think about the short term than listing on a big exchange means quick money, while developing product could take years. Now, especially, when people in the market are uncertain about the crypto future, listings means more than working product.

They are interested in exchange listing because they are afraid the market will be dumped before they can sell the tokens. It happened with many projects before, when the investors were participating in the ICO, the market was in a bull. After the ICO ended the investors needed to wait for several months before the project listed on the exchange. The market constantly changing every day and after several months, the market turned into bear causing the investors to lose some of their capital because of the dump.

I like your sincere  opinion, many investors are scared of the fact that  ; if a token stays too long to list, it will dump hard upon listing. Also, everyone is interested to sell and make profit, that's the reality. Most crypto enthusiasts now prefer to hear listing on top exchanges than huge product updates, that's the irony. I really hope we put more interest in project development, even though exchange listing is very vital.

Well, most of the people who invest into ICO just want an instant profit to flip their token immediately and dump their coin into exchange anyway. It's not a something that's hard to figure out, as you can see even some investors will be mad when the coin that they invested to failed to be listed into a popular exchange despite the fact that a project need to pay an exchange so much money just to be listed there. The project that start the ICO usually in dilemma whether they'll use some portion of the gathered funds to pay for the exchange or not. it is also a fact that most of people don't care about the product developments.

I don't believe that exchanges are the main thing that project teams should think about. To enter a good stock exchange is of course important, but not the most important thing to strive for.

It's true. Because investors don't have faith in new projects, so they try at the first opportunity to sell coins and not to remember more about it. Only a few of them have a perspective in the future.

Absolutely. The fact is that most altcoin investors right now are looking for quick profits, and not long term fundamental developments.

This is why you see a lot of coins that have no real value or substance per se but being able to turn extremely quick profits as they are listed on exchanges. Exchanges provide liquidity to investors, and listings are obviously extremely bullish news.

This isn't necessarily the optimal state of the market, but it's just how it is.

Exchange listing is one of the parameters that can be used to test the viability of the product. If an ICO gets listed in a major exchange such as OKEx, Binance, or Huobi, then the investors will feel confident about holding the tokens for long duration.  And it is not practical to blame the investors, as there is a lot of insecurity out there in the market. Large number of ICOs are turning out to be scams and naturally the investors will be worried about their hard earned money stolen by the scammers. Exchange listing will act as an assurance.

Thats a fact, many investors are only after money especially if they heard the tokens are going to be listed in popular exchanges. Thus if the progress of the project is not what most investors expected they will started to rant and will demand for money back, thats the reality.

I participated in a good project last year and the progress is continuous, the dev is updating about their plan and partnership. However the tokens value are low resulting for us to hold and wait. But despite of this seeing the team trying their best to follow their roadmap, whitepaper and keep on updating the investors are good traits that we can count on.

Yes. Due to the fact that many investors are afraid of losing their money when the project has not yet entered the exchange. When seen in plain view so far, an exchange is a fundamental requirement for investors now. Because they want a quick turnover of money. Not a product update that takes years. It can run both at the same time, isn't it? Unless the developer has a large investor who has a portion of their token, the project must still be thinking about the opinion of the big investor. But most projects delay entering the exchange for fear that their coin prices will plummet. And if they are afraid of falling prices, they just buyback and burn it for development. But that is a difficult choice for project finance as well. In the end, this is no guarantee at all for investors.
