There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Getting us back on track, any word on how the project us going? We are anxiously awaiting the good news!
Well, parts are on order for the prototype boards, and everything should be here Monday.
The general plan is to build one sans ASIC, and test out all of the basic functionality of the device and characterize the power supply. After that, a full unit will be brought up and once we can demonstrate hashing we'll be ready to order a production run of PCBs and order some chips from HashFast.

Yep, next week will be pretty interesting and exciting at the same time! It seemed like this was a long week waiting for these pcb's to come in but well its almost over and we can start next week with a lot more updates, pics and info! We have quite a few people interested in the board and mailed us already if you haven't please head over to http://peppermining.com/board-interest/ and fill this out.  Note this is just gauging interest this doesn't tie you into anything.

Cheers and happy Friday!

Any guesstimate on price... ballpark? If the are 100 bucks then I want 50 :-)  If they are 2,000 then I want less :-)

Still to be determined, we're getting pretty close on many of the costs, but there's still a couple big quotes to come in for things like assembly and test. Our goal it to make sure that we can come in below anyone else on the market. It will likely be closer to the second number though, if it was 100 bucks I wouldn't be selling any of them, I'd be looking for warehouse space. Smiley We'll be working in the next week to get all the numbers worked out.

You's guys are not wasting time  Wink

You have mentioned that chips will be purchased from HashLast.
Does it mean that potential buyer will have to pay up front/pre-order for these units or you are buying chips with your own money ?

Thank you very much and hurry up  Grin

Hashfast is staffed by crooks. Don't do business with them. I don't need an article to tell me this, because I sent hashfast 51btc for a product last september. A product to be delivered last November. A product I still do not have.

Everyone of those links is pulled from the same location.  It probably has hit 1000s of websites but sources from the exact same origination.

Isn't their a thread for all of the crowd funding HF customers?  Thought this thread was for Mr. Teals project; not RSS feed news headlines about Hashfast?

Solarion,
My apologies for the doubts.  Saw a copy of it and it is the real deal.

I hope justice is served for those effected.  I know MrTeal is one of them himself.

It would be great for proven DIY miner manufacturers to supply a steady stream of products before the chip company as long as HF doesn't screw them over like they have done to their other customers. I also hope your miner gives HF a run for their BTC. Good luck guys.

It would be great if we would stop supporting companies which admittedly screwed over all their customers.
