It was actually not decreased. The rewards are still the same per category. I think that the reason why some of the old participants did not partake on this one is because there is no painting and animation category.

I also think there are more to the rewards that the participants can get. I for one participate in it to improve my craft and I am pleased to see how I have grown through all the contests that roobet and hhampuz hosted even if I did not won on some of it.

I remember the rewards were crazy high when there were just a couple of categories or no categories at all a long time ago making these contests some of them based on reward to effort ration in my opinion.

Dividing the rewards into many categories later on made perfect sense and provided more opportunities to participants, but the reward amounts did decrease over time including the recent contest.

Its understandable that they would really be reducing the rewards considering that the duration was cut in half since its been mentioned about two weeks then they cant just give out their typical 1 month
prize rewards on a short duration which its just sensible on doing so. They might really be that generous when it comes to prize but they would really be needing to cut it out and decrease if its needed.

It seems that the organizing team also understands that the interest of the participants is decreasing and some are starting to give up because the previous contest failed so they don't want to repeat it again and the organizing team decided to reduce the prizes, but actually with this decrease there is no need to be a debate or disappointment considering that every previous contest even had the amount of prizes is bigger like what you have conveyed.

After all, now several sites are also using the same method, namely promotion by holding contests or other things that can provide big prizes so that users start switching to other sites.

noorman0's idea is a great one to be honest, and it doesn't matter whether NFT craze or hype have gone down drastically, Roobet can still make a great and draw great attention from the industry if they implement such idea.
I see a couple of ways the idea could benefit the Roobet casino as well as all the art contest participant,
One is that, the reward for winning the art contest wont be limited anymore, contestants after winning and being their price, their art get listed on Roobet's art gallery where anyone interested in any of those art could either purchase it, or play some games to win it, when the art get bought, the contestant who created the art gets a commission , when the art get won by a gambler playing a game, the contestant who created the art also gets a commission.

And Roobet could create some incentives for anyone holding the art, the incentive could be monetary or like 10 or more free bets every month for anyone holding any of the arts, depending on the value of the art in their art gallery, this way, gamblers will be interested in owning the art, how cool will this be?
