Its almost impossible to make an account on atomic trade without starting a support ticket.
I used 4 different emails trying to get confirmation emails to make an account , how are we supposed to trade this coin?

After a support ticket, I was able to get an account confirmed. . . but its just a silly lengthy process just to make an account on a small exchange.

You could just sign up at bittrex.com Wink

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Dev, I think we need a hardfork to fix.
That is what I said - I think this is the same quick re-target algo that is used by other coins
and is causing large jumps in the diff, as well as an average twice as long block finding time as designed
(because the jump *up* in diff causes a *much* longer block find time than is compensated by a subsequent lower diff)
For example, first the diff goes 3 times too high, so block find time goes from 8 to 24 min.
Then, block find time goes 3 times too low, avg block find time goes from 8 to under 3 mins.
Total is now 27 min instead of 2 x 8 min. Looking at the pool stats or the debug info from the wallet, you see that
block find time can be 2 times longer than designed - also leading to 1/2 payout and more frustrated miners on smaller pools,
since the block time is already high, now it is even higher due to the diff jumps.
I have proposed an alternative algo for diff re-target that does not have KGW vulnerability, but still re-targets quickly.

Wow - I am happy that I stayed mining on the Engineerspools, they just rewarded me a nice bonus for mining on their pool!
In the past 24 hours I had considered moving my miner since the pool is still (too) small and needs more miners, to find blocks faster.
So, in the end I knew it was better to stay and not imbalance the network even more - still more people should leave the largest pool
and start with the smaller pools, so the network will be healthier!
Thanks Engineerspools for the bonus reward! I'll stay on you pool!

Keeping People Honest - Don't Get Scammed

Ok. We all know this is a scam. Only greed makes anyone here to pretend it isn't.

A coin that is using the name one of the wealthiest communities in America and companies behind it can only be a scam.
These people already embraced bitcoin as a tech innovation. They don't need XSV to remind them they can invest in cryptocurrencies and use them!
There is no innovation on this coin. The only difference on this coin is the 8 min block time with a low block reward of 35 coins with a total supply of 35 million coins. That makes 12.5 million coins that were premined. With a 90 block confirmations to mature the coins this makes the perfect combination made to be hard for the miner to dump this coin which is going to speculate the value of this coin to be very high BUT though it is hard for the miner to dump it is not for the premined coins holder!
Now, the scam goes like this:
-There should be at least 5880 blocks mined till the 25th of April. Date that the maildrop was announced.
-Of this 5880 blocks, 205800 coins should be minted through mining.
-There is already alot of speculation around the price but even the price stays around on the 0.02 BTC = $12 USD margin at current market price, that would make those 205800 mined coins be worth $2.469.600 USD. If this would be the case the premined holder would be helding 150 million dollars.
-Now, even if he only dumps the exact same coins that were minted he would be a 2.5 million dollar millionaire!
-And i am only talking on the low speculative price people asking here to cover mining costs. Imagine if it goes 10x that price before the maildrop. This guy would be holding 1.5 billion dollars. Nice scam for a couple of hours of work of cloning a coin and setup a website!
-Well, the conclusion here is that people can shout scam. But even if this is all clear to everyone, the fact is people don't care if this guy is going to become a billionaire as long they get a piece of the pie!!!
-Cold harsh truth in this new old wild west style goldrush to the cryptocurrencies.

Best

Hi, Buddy.. LOL.. You are also called Buddy. We are perfectly matched!!!

From the written English, I strongly believe that the SiliconValleyCoin developer is a Mainland Chinese. LOL

Hence, it is not surprised that XSV developer is scamming people by making use the name of Silicon Valley. LOL

Hey.. Have the XVS Dev provided any evidence to prove his real association with Silicon Valley?

This is exactly the same case as HongKongCoin (HKC).

There is one more common point between XSV and HKC. Both can be traded in Bittrex.com right after launched!!!  Grin

Of course this is a scam.  They had this coin setup on exchanges before there were even any working pools.  They want to pump the price so they can dump the premine as soon as possible and collect as much btc as they can.  This is an organized scam with several shills posting in this thread and supporting the coin.  The dev himself was posting  screenshots of trading history a day after the coin was launched which shows that his main concern is the price of the coin because his goal is to pump and dump.

Have been mining for like 4-5 hours and still 0 coins. What the hecks going on?  Angry
Ask your pool operator whats going on, recent block finders: sumpool, multi-pool, leet pool

Okay. Why did the price of XSV took a dive?It was 0.1BTC now its at 0.001,why?

Some miners DDOS pools, talk bad on thread about a coin, and dump some of their coins to scare other miners away in hopes of bring down the difficulty and mining more themselves. So far it hasn't worked as Network hashrate is increasing day by day. That being said the coin has only been active on trade sites for 24 hours or so. Give it a week or two. here:

Its almost impossible to make an account on atomic trade without starting a support ticket.
I used 4 different emails trying to get confirmation emails to make an account , how are we supposed to trade this coin?

After a support ticket, I was able to get an account confirmed. . . but its just a silly lengthy process just to make an account on a small exchange.

You could just sign up at bittrex.com Wink

i did I have an account for that exchange, I was trying to get a feel for the markets around this coin by looking at multiple exchange rates , but atomic trade forces u to sign up to view the order book history.

bittrex seems a bit shady to me, also I had to go hunting instead of them just listing their license.

I mean why use a CPA in Las Vegas as your front when all your officers for bittrex are in the Seattle Area? Is it because Nevada has some of the easiest LLC laws and taxes?

I don't know maybe I am just jaded after all the others that have been hacked or ran off with coins, but it still seems fishy to me to have a CPA be your cover in an out of state business, instead of having to file for a Foreign Limited-Liability Company based in Nevada (any out of state is considered foreign).

I mean here is the officers :

you know what else is fishy why won't the devs post an actual picture of the vouchers, they claim they are being printed out, yet they only post computer generated images of the vouchers, why not post an actual pick of them holding the voucher with their hand, covering the scratch of code etc,,,

because to print those kind of vouchers take about 21 (business (sometimes) days total if you knew anything in the printing industry. So cut some slack until mid next month. If you don't want to believe that go to a local printer that does flyers with rub offs.

Since the dev has been active and informative with people in ATs chat box I have faith. They have also stated once in hand they will provide proof and proof of them being mailed out. So again patience is needed.

Any wallet issues ? Mine been out of sync showing '3hours behind'. All of this while I have 8 active connections to network.

Will it self resolve or should I try backing up wallet[done], deleting block chain and re-installing ?

Due to network fluctuations the last block took 3 hours (block 239), everything is fine, next few blocks should come in pretty quickly.  we are already on block 241.
