Why Consider All Altcoins Bad

Maybe there are some people who buy actually some no value coins or maybe they joined on crypto in present. They didn't experience the year 2017 where almost all altcoins was good.

Most of the Altcoins don't live up to expectations. Most of them turn into failures while some has been able to recover and not making any progress. Most atlcoins including major alts like eth, xrp etc are just following in the market flow of bitcoin.

Not all are bad, but only few are good in the total number of altcoins, and that's the reason why its reputation is bad.
We need to see a growth in the altcoins but we need quality over quantity, as one project can grow and become a billion dollar company so there's no need for a project that are not ambitious enough to grow big in the long run.

In short, we need a reliable project that could help solve some problem in the space and will survive even with this struggle we re facing now.

I agree to this statement. Not all altcoins are bad but because of the quantity of unsuccessful and scam altcoins, the reputation is bad. We really need a reliable project as you have said that could be our only hope that will make a 180 degrees to turn everything into posiitive one.

But it becomes one of the benchmarks to know the good or bad of an altcoin. If you consider that the price of altcoin is falling because of the effects of a bad market, isn't this a sign that altcoin is really less desirable? the logic is that if altcoin is good, then the price must have soared.

THe price of altcoin will never be stable because people are buying altcoins for trades. And ofcourse if an altcoins moreover with low volume, the price would be so agile because many people are buying it just for sell it with higher price. So i think it's almost impossbile for altcoin to having a stable price except USDT and other similiar coins based on fiat currency

That's right, therefore, sometimes people experience huge losses on altcoin so that the perception that altcoin is bad is born. I think it needs a broader discussion to measure and judge the good or bad of an altcoin.

It depends on individual perception. For some people, if more than 20% of a particular group is consisted of scams, then they would label the entire group as unworthy of investing in. This threshold may vary from person to person. Some may even regard a particular group as worth investing in, even if it is known that 90% of that group is composed of scams. In the end, it is entirely up to the individual.

There has been so many terrible Altcoins out there and people has fallen victims of many more of them and this people definitely hasn't been taking their losses quietly, like you said, there are over 3000 Altcoins out there but the actual number is over 5000 with many more that has scam exited and this has generated a lot of negative attention for Altcoins but it's not all bad, there are some good Altcoins out there but when you compare all the coins in the market and check the number of good ones compared to the number of bad ones, you might start thinking that it's a scam too.

Not every but the majority of altcoins are shit, some altcoins are not shit at this moment but they will turn into shit after a year or two! So, literally all new altcoins are shit. To me, I only care about the top 50 altcoins right now, others are good for a short time, but not good for holding purpose.

I personally do not consider Altcoins bad, infact I see it as one of the best things that has ever happened to Cryptocurrencies, many of the innovations that has been developed so far has actually been done by Altcoins and although I have to admit that there are staggering amounts of scams out there, there are also good projects too out there and I wouldn't condemn Altcoins as a whole just because of the numerous bad eggs although some people obviously do.

The truth is not all altcoins are bad or scam but most times people tend to follow what majority say, this is because most coins do not have a good use case or are just a replica of an existing coin even at that there are still coins with unique use cases.

many people think that altcoin is bad because since mid-2018 until now most of altcoin has lost its value. and this has resulted in many altcoin investors losing heavily. and then also many altcoin projects that this scam makes the altcoin market look bad and in the end some investors choose to leave altcoin and only invest in bitcoin.
but I still believe when bitcoin is reduced by half and then bull run, the altcoin market will also be green again.

I think this was misconception that all altcoins are bad. A lot of altcoins have great usage like ETH, XRP, XLM and others. Also there was a lot of unwanted altcoins without any usage which were used to scammed peoples money. The point here is don't generalized the idea that all altcoins are bad. Diversification is really part of the process but the thing is investing more money in altcoins than in bitcoins is really risky. The question is why do some people generalize all Altcoins as bad? considering there are over 3000 of them out there. One would not have the time to go through each project one by one. to analyze the project. team etc everything behind each crypto project.
There has to be some project out there under good intentions. Not all projects could be a scam. I admit I only have a top 4 i consider when it comes to best coins. But yet many should be decent at least honest projects out there. Afterall we do need more projects. more quality projects out there in order for crypto to succeed.

One of the possible reason why many people are generalizing that all altcoins are not good for investment is because they have encountered plenty of altcoins that have failed them. Considering the fact that most of the altcoins nowadays are not working well and are going to their rock bottom, there is a huge probability that you would encounter countless failing altcoins which may change your mindset and stick to the fact that all of it are scam or not good for investment. If you are going to invest on a certain altcoin, search for the best ones so that you can put your trust on it and gain benefits as time passes by.

it depends on how their product works. the value of a coin that falls also determined from the development of the product made. if developers don't do anything even though they are still active it's the same there won't be an improvement to their project. see the project roadmap and we can see whether the developer is serious about the project or not.

in the case of the selection of a new project it must be more selective in choosing it, otherwise there will be losses that occur especially if we choose wrong and get stuck on a fraudulent project. therefore if investing in a new altcoin will be more difficult, but if investing with the old altcoin may be better but must keep doing research in it
