will play this one since most likely I will be sitting home doing nothing due to the current situation
gonna take me some time to recover my SWC account since I haven't played there long time ago , also count me in for the side bet as well
Make sure you're registered for the tourney before it starts if you're joining the last longer bet. Can't late reg and be included.

I'll register in a while later guys, am not on my preferred device but please count me in anyway. IF for some reason I CANNOT join, then I will take the sidebet (but I'm not clear who are we betting on, just ourselves and if we outlast whomever we win?). My username there on SwC is "Sojourner".

Looking forward to playing with you @figment @SyGambler. Champion of the inaugural where I was first to bust IIR haha.

The side bet(Last longer bet) is betting on yourself to be in the tourney longer then all the others who are in the side bet with you. The last person standing of all who joined the side bet, gets the whole prize pool.

No, the tourney that'll happen this Sunday will be at SwCpoker.eu not Sportsbet.io just to clarify it. Smiley I am guessing it will last long as well but I'm always hoping it will continuously decreased in numbers or slowly treated since it really not nice to see a situation like this to last.

There's plenty not tutorials on the internet you can dig some but I want to recommend this one for you on YouTube https://youtu.be/JOomXP-r1wY. I think you can grasp about it fast. Cheesy

we're on SwC this time, not sportsbet.io. https://play.swcpoker.eu/

sportsbet.io is sorta strange---if you don't have the right currency selected, the poker room is hidden. you need to switch your default currency to BTC in order to see it.

I will be posting my info later today to add me. It's better to have some fun besides watching movies LOL

absolutely! i just sent you the password via PM. please share your SwC handle when you get a chance.

Also, i have a question: why technical pause on SwC is going so long? I remember in the last part of tournament (when two players left) it took 1.5 hour. What a sense for this?

i don't know what you mean. the tourney got paused? do you mean the 5 min break every hour?

I was licking my wounds and didn't catch the end but it sounds like he thought it might play out faster heads up.

It really depends on stack sizes and blinds for how long a heads up match takes to finish off a tournament. 2 patient and tight players can use a lot of time between hands especially if they use their time bank effectively.

Maybe I misunderstood, but if not it's just part of Poker; and plays into some peoples strategies as well.

If he is talking about the breaks that really only added 10 minutes to the heads up match, and isn't something that can be changed.

GL tomorrow, I'll be sleeping away.

Not sure what Steamtyme's getting at here but I somewhat understand the time factor. Part of the reason I don't play poker these days really is the time it takes -- unless it's a quick round I know with people I know. Those timeouts, delays, etc from just one or two players is enough to drag things out really long and then guys like me have to leave, so we all-in unnaturally early.

But that's not what's happening here is it?

Anyway, I'll still need to see if I'm actually able to do this 4pm game. A bit tight towards dinner and I'm the chef... @yahoo, no sidebet for me then in this case either.

Thanks for the link and I am going to register in few minutes. I was practicing online in Facebook and it seems those outcomes like Royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, one pair and high card are not easy to remember for noobs.

Anyone has any trick to memories them in mind easily?

You can probably disregard Royal Flush/Straight Flush/Four of a Kind, since those hands are very rare. Most of the time, you will have to deal with the rest only. Maybe make a small list, which you put on your desk or print something like this:

Source: https://www.cardschat.com/pkimg/hand-nicknames/poker-hand-rankings.pdf

But you will memorize those fast, it's no rocket science. The real challenge is something else and this can only be learned by playing a lot and doing theory.

Thank you I already had one but this small tip [disregard Royal Flush/Straight Flush/Four of a Kind] will be helpful for me.

Some example situation of real challenges? May be one or two from the experience?

I was able to register. Nick is : bttBt
figmentofmyass gave me password and I am sure I was able to spot the link of the tournament: Bitcointalk Private Tournament [private]

But now when I want to register it says I do not have enough funds after putting the password I was given. How much bitcoin I will need for this? I would appreciate some details about the chips.

Thanks

Some example situation of real challenges? May be one or two from the experience?

To make it short: You don't know your opponents hand. So, while you know, you have maybe two pairs, it's hard to tell, how strong your hand is, without knowing against what hand you are playing. Only when you have the nuts (=best possible hand), you can be 100% sure to win the pot. And this goes only for when flop, turn and river have been dealt. Pre-flop AA is the best hand, but you can still lose the hand, even against some weak hand like 72.

Every hand is unique and presents a new challenge.

This hand is pretty strong, you have a full house. You might want to risk all your chips here:

But look, what your opponent has:

And even your opponent can't be 100% sure of winning that hand, because there could be a third player in the hand:

(All screenshots taken from: https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tools/odds-calculator/texas-holdem)

You will always have some uncertainty, unless in those rare cases, where you have the nuts for a certain board. You can play around a bit with that odds calculator and create some scenarios to learn about probabilites.

How much bitcoin I will need for this?

The entry fee is 0.001 Bitcoin.

Thanks for coming forward to teach me some basics. Now I have this chart. And you said this is full house and I can immediately spot it. But what do I have in these two: 1, 2

I understand K is bigger than 6 so #2 is bigger but what do we call them? Not four of a kind, not straight flush and not royal flash or I am missing something?

Thanks again.

All three players have a full house in this one.

Left player: 222AA
Middle player: 66622
Right player: KKK22

The winner is now determined by whom has the highest from those three of a kind (KKK in this case / with only two players in hand1 666 beats 222).

What is minimum deposit for swcpoker?

See here, there is none:

Quote
What are the Minimum Deposit & Withdrawal Amounts?

There is no minimum deposit. All deposits are credited, down to the smallest unit of Bitcoin, 1 satoshi, also expressed as 0.00000001 BTC or 0.01 SwC Poker chips. The minimum withdrawal amount is 500 chips. The exact Bitcoin network fee is deducted from withdrawals.‍

Okay it was very easy once you pointed it out but I was having hard time to figure it out. I was always looking at the above pairs LOL
These are the challenges I have to identify my cards.

Just made my deposit and now wait for the confirmation to join officially.

Girl shows up and all guys jump to help her, that happens every time. Gentlemen's, no doubt!

10 players for now, nice! This will be a good tournament I feel it! Two times third, maybe this is my turn take the first place!
My table is with big names, Betwrong, Foma777, SyGambler and CoinEraser! Experienced poker players!

Like always beer is here, cigar is here, tournament just started... Have a nice time and I hope I will win! Smiley

Lol, because last found block was at 15.30 (and there is no new block for now), i'm (with a high probability) is out for this tournament :c

Late registration is available until 5:30pm GMT. Not sure, if the password for todays tournament was already posted publicly, but it is: btc4682kr. So everyone feel free to join.

The mempool is congested and I am still awaiting for my deposit to be confirmed. It says, the last registration date is 1 hour 20 plus minutes, so hopefully by this time my deposit will be confirmed. I am really excited to see how this checks out for me while I really know very little about it.
