lol, he sure does have some beautiful hair doesn't he.  I like to call him Sunny ( from the movie Remember the Titans, fyi if anyone reading this hasn't ever seen Remember the Titans, add that to the top of your watch list). 

Maybe he was a bit over-hyped.  It's tough to know which player are going to pan out and which ones aren't.

Cowboys Giants for Thursday night football.  Not the best game ever, but I could think of worse ones.

It's likely going to be really bad.  But at least nabers is fun to watch.  Giants I think gave up 90 points to the Cowboys in 2 games or something last year.  I expect a bit of the same especially how the Cowboys started the year.  The giants d backs are gonna get cooked by CeeDee.  Don't know the props but whatever it is I'm taking the over on receptions and yards for him.  Wouldn't be shocked with a 10 rec and 150 yard game if not more.

Seems like a lot of overhyped #1 picks the last 20+ years, least at the QB spot. I'm not ready to call Caleb a bust yet, but IMO Trevor Lawrence, Bryce Young, Jameis Winston, Sam Bradford, and JaMarcus Russel have all been busts. Some might even say Baker Mayfield, Cam Newton, and Kyler Murray are in this category as well, but IMO they all have shown they have a little something and deserved to be in the league at least for a few years.

They are gods in college and just don't adapt to the speed of the NFL or the pressure.

Yeah it ended up not being the most exciting game ever.  Nabers is pretty damn fun to watch and he's had a really nice start to the season already (which I can't believe we are already 4 week in to, or going in to the 4th week).  I didn't have a whole lot of action on the game outside of Furgeson and while he's clearly the number two pass catcher on the team, its not always equating to bit game for me.  Still love the guy going forward though.

I always say being a round 1 and pick 1 is a detrimental to a quarterback.  There is just too much pressure and expectations.  People rightfully so will say bit it's the pros, still we have seen time amd time again when ypu aren't pressured to win it'such easier.  Like this year.  Jayden Daniel's should be amped because as long as he plays as good as Caleb he will be seen as a success.  Caleb has to win crazy stuff before he is considered a success.

It's far more likely that a QB taken first over all will be a bust, but it's hard to say exactly why.  Interestingly enough, Trevor Lawrence is the only QB taken in the first round of 2021 draft who hasn't been traded away by the team that drafted him, and by all metrics he has been the most successful of any of the other QBs taken in the first round of that draft.  And I'm not saying he's seen a lot of success, but the bar is rather low for QBs from that draft class.

There are very few exceptions, and again, it's hard to say why.  Arron Rodgers was the second QB taken in the 2005 draft, but he fell all the way to the 24th position after everybody fully expected the 9ers to take him first overall.  Why was he so successful while Alex Smith struggled?  The 9ers coach at the time, Mike Nolan was probably the worst coach we've ever had.  He thrust Smith into the starting roll his first year, but it's not like he had any better options.  Conversely, Rodgers held a clipboard for Favre his first two years in the league.

Certainly having time to learn the NFL behind a legend like Favre had to contribute to Rodgers' success, but that can't be all there is to it.  The Packers had a great coaching staff, they weren't a bad team at all, and that alone will attract other talent in the free agency market.  He was given every opportunity to succeed.  And my gut tells me that if he had been taken by the 9ers he would not have had the same opportunities that Green Bay gave him, and probably less success.

It's hard to say why one highly-drafted QB has success while another languishes.  And maybe it's no more of a gamble to draft a QB first overall than any other position, it's just that the QB garners so much attention, and therefor, hype.  If a linebacker who's drafted high in the first round ends up being a flop, it's usually only the local press that make a big deal about it.  The national press tends to be indifferent about positions that aren't quarterback.  Maybe that's why teams still continue to draft QBs in the first round.  Otherwise, it seems like the definition of insanity.

Did anyone see the odds for sunday night football on the Bills vs. the Ravens? My head is shaking on why the Bills is +2.5 for this. I will certainly the points offered hehehe. I reckon this handicap should -2.5 or am I very much mistaken on this? Were the oddsmakers influenced on their game against the Cowboys?

Also, what are your speculations or predictions on Seahawks vs. the Lion, the Commanders vs. the Cardinals and the Saints vs. the Falcons? The points being given on these underdogs might be okay?

Only thing I can figure is maybe because Buffalo played Monday night and its a short week sorta for them, but I would still think they should be favored here. Might wanna take a look at the injury report and see if someone is out.

I think the Raves deserve to be favored, in my opinion anyhow.  I think there's no question that the Ravens have a better offense. They certainly both have pretty good defenses. 

There really weren't many games that I loved to today in terms of betting on.  The entire first window of games I just looked over while sipping my morning Joe and just couldn't even force myself in to something I liked.  It's been a weird year so far, hard to call where teams sit atm.

Tua was always fragile, even when he was in college he suffered some severe injuries, which is why I was surprised the Dolphins picked him over Herbert which was available at the time, in my opinion Tua should retire not only for the concussion, but for the issue the concussion happened under regular football play, so there is no doubt in my mind that Tua will retire  prematurely, what we do not know is if he will do it on his terms or if he will be forced to do it.

Man injuries are killing me in our league.  I'm 3-1 in all of my 7 leagues except for being 2-2 in one of them and the main reason I'm 3-1 in a couple of the leagues is simply injuries getting the best of me. 

I've been without CMC all year, which goes without saying, now it looks like I've lost Rice for the rest of the season.  He was one of the must under the radar picks out there this year.  I still have a good team that can compete, but this isn't making it any easier.

It's pretty sad to see how bad that organization is without Tua. They have a decent number of weapons starting with Tyreek, Waddle, Achane, and Mostert just to name a few. A mediocre QB should be able to come in and game manage and get a win or 2 without much of an issue, but I suppose even with Tua they haven't been the same team as last year.

I kinda wonder if they have lost faith in the coach or we got some diva issues in the locker room.

Depth and how a team faces adversity is how you gauge a franchise and the fins are getting a failing grade but at least we haven't seen any tantrums on the sidelines yet.

I'm seriously considering dropping Mosert that I drafted way too high and just cutting my losses, kicked Tua to the curb almost immediately this year.
