Wait, maybe I miss something, but they are not talking about any websites / twitter pages.
I'm pretty sure that is the same coin.

wtf completely missed this launch? It was announced that it would come in the dutch forum, and now a sudden launch without any notice in the dutch forum?

Wow... Thanks for stating that. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=436606.0
I just noticed this coin is made by coingen.io, which means the 'developers' don't even know how to develop a coin. What if there is something wrong with the wallet. They probably don't even know how to fix that. Great.

Can you provide proof that this coin is coingen.io?

http://coingen.io/status.html CTRL + F (eGulden).
They said it multiple times in that thread in Dutch (which I am).

I know this does not proof it, but I am pretty sure this coin is related to that Dutch topic.

They never said they will make it themselves. They can hire someone or just change one of the nodes in the bitcoin app package.

Is this the same project as www.egulden.nl ? If so you might want to update that site. it's the first google result for "egulden".

No. We have no idea who they are. Although their website isn't updated in the last few months.

Where is the location of wallet.dat of this coin?  I cannot find it in normal %appdata/roaming% folder.

It's in the same place your wallet software is in (the main folder).

Can you point me to specific path please.  It is not located where other altcoins wallet are.

No it's in the folder where your egulden-qt.exe is located. That same folder with the wallet itself.

We choose this location because it is easier and more userfriendly to find for unexperienced cryptocurrency users.

Also please note: we are not the same guys that made a post about eGulden in the Dutch section on this forum. We have nothing to do with them.

Website is updated and back online

www.e-gulden.com

Our developers are working hard to release a new update to our source code and wallet soon. Making some small fixes and changing the source parameters such as difficulity and retarget time. More information will follow soon.

Website's looking good! Not everything seems to work like it should but the interface is well designed. I do think you'll need a Dutch page if you want this to take off.

Did you change the diff retarget to 2016 blocks now..? I think that's still waaay too long. Once this coin drops under the multipools' radar you'll see then jump in when the difficulty is low, grab 2016 blocks in a few hours, and leave the community with 2016 VERY slow high-difficulty blocks. So the confirm times will be alternating in very slow/very fast waves.

Also I think you're confusing some of the jargon here...

Quote
The reward per block is 25 EFL with a retarget of 2 minutes.
I think you mean "block time" instead of retarget here.
Average time it takes to find a block at the current difficulty = block time.
Number of blocks after which the difficulty changes = difficulty retarget time.

Quote
The block reward halves every 210,000 blocks (non-linear, recalculated every block to avoid big jumps in block reward).
What does that mean, exactly? Will the reward drop slightly on every found block?

I favor transparency so I feel obliged to tell that this coin was created using http://coincreator.net

However it seems that currently there are some real devs committed to the project.

We have a bunch of developers that are working on this project. No need for coingenerator.

The difficulity jump will be adjusted to 512 blocks at block 45000. But its not build in yet. It will today or tomorrow. We will make sure to keep everybody up to date with the new compiled wallet's etc. The changelog on the website was not accurate. Its fixed now.

Sorry for the small errors Smiley
