the advice of the OP is not for all. many of us will still prefer to have fiat on hand, and yes, especially in these challenging times. you can't buy from the stores with your crypto, if you need some urgent items as most stores are not accepting crypto. unless, you convert your crypto to fiat, and that would take a lil bit of time to do that. so it is always better to have fiat ready in case of emergency. but if you have more than enough and you can spare some funds in crypto, why not? i will do the same, but I prefer to invest in btc or maybe eth for the moment. just to make sure that I am dealing with sure market.

This is a good time to buy crypto because of the price decline. But you're right its not fine to engage yourself in crypto without knowing the risk and consequences incase the price turn down further.
