It's a basic prediction by a stranger online. We've heard many high predictions for the next years but who knows if they will actually happen but we can't believe it and our conscious is fighting because it's hard to believe.

Calling the price drop which made bitcoin to $3,800. But look, bitcoin price keeps on pushing. Pushed to $7,400 made a little pull back but then still on positive trend.

Yes, but when the prediction is said to be very high like 100k then I think it's very clear the prediction will be difficult to achieve

Agreed on that because 100k$ seems to be over expecting and will only damage our trust iN Crypto if not achieved so better try to lower the expectation so incase wont reached then we can just move on again.

and indeed, we don't know and who knows their prediction will come true or not because I only believe about a more reasonable value and not too far from the previous ATH is a prediction that I can still accept.

and also there is no reason to expect that high since we cannot even reached 15k again for more than 2 years now.

For reaching the high and sustainable market conditions, asking the short term market movement will be no-brainer. The long term investors and institutional financial organizations will consider the digital market opportunities sooner or later. It is just a matter of time.

It could be earlier but the progress was stopped because of the pandemic we are in a halving season all the positive effects are likely not going to happen because of the pandemic, it stopped everything including the market, the market is stand still when it should be progressing at this point of time.

Indeed, this is quite an unbelievable picture when we talk about the future of bitcoin because the price we received that could be considered the highest in the past was nearly $20k, and from that point until now, bitcoin has never set that price again, many people expect another miracle over the years but the result is still non-existent. If Traditional stock investors sees bitcoin as short term investment plan then it is going to do more harm that good to the bitcoin, we need people who see bitcoin as the future then we will not see the panic sell again when there is crisis all around the world.

I guess OP is speculating base on what Mc cafee said about bitcoin, stating that bitcoin will reach $1 million,  by December 2020,  Which he now realized that it's totally impossible by the end of this year, as for bitcoin to hit $100k in January 2021, I guess the price might surpass it's previous all time high,  but not yet for bitcoin to attain such peak for now,  a global adoption is needed for it to attain $100k

I think that this is almost unrealistic, because because of the virus now almost all over the world, the crisis and now few people will invest in crypto, and without investors Bitcoin will not grow so much in price in such a short time.

Right, the time is the only factor that affects the market price, so useless predictions will not be a good idea for calculating the next ATH price. After a few years, the possibility of hitting $100k will be higher than today's probabilities. There is a halvening case now and the real use case of BTC transactions will increase, the both factors can be the reason for the price journey to $100k per BTC.

Just think about the formula the total supply will be divided by billion users in the world. That will actually make the price of bitcoin to go up

i doubt whether bitcoin will really cost more than 100k$ at some point. i once believed it, but that was a few months ago.
the price collapse of the past few months shook me badly. i still think crypto is good, but i don't rely on a high price anymore.
