got it, the python package...

Unfortunately I don't know much about Windows.  I would suggest running linux in a VM, you could use virtualbox which is free.  You wouldn't need much RAM as there's no need to install a full desktop.  A minimal Debian or Ubuntu install would work well.  Though I suppose if you aren't familiar with Linux it could add a considerable amount of learning and time to the process.  Let me know if I can offer any non-windows specific help.

Well, I did get it running, turns out that all it needed was a restart xD

But now the problem is that the pool shows up as dead to my miner... I can access the stats page in my browser (birdonwheels5.no-ip.org:2891, going to change that soon), but I keep getting errors in console in the get_work and send_work methods... I guess it's time for some more googling

I might try running an Ubuntu VM, I have it downloading now and I managed to find a tutorial for vertcoin, which I can easily adapt to kimocoin.

Can't wait to get this node up and running!

Looks like you're really close.  I can even see the incoming connection from your node on my server.

PM me the full traceback that you're seeing in those methods.

Yay! The second KMC P2Pool node is officially up Cheesy

Mining address:
stratum+tcp://birdspool.no-ip.org:2891

And statistics can be found at:
birdspool.no-ip.org:2891/birdonwheels5.no-ip.org:2891

Happy mining!

(I'm going to leave my 30 kh/s gpu mining on there overnight to make sure payouts are working, but I don't see why they wouldn't be)

Edit: It's working, we just found a block and I received the 1% fee from my miner.
Forget centralized pools, mine with us on p2p!

Also, for those of you who want to set up your own node (those of you running a 24/7 server/workstation) pm me and I'll send you the guide I used to get my node up and running.

Edit 2: Well for some reason the stats don't show individual miners and their hashrates/expected payouts on the home page... But you can find expected payout for your address on the payouts tab. And fyi, I'm doing about 250 kh/s between my two gpus, so you can calculate your hash from that (or look at the graph lol)

The point is: The dev was online for the last few days, but he's not active in his own thread. That's not building trust, and the open orders from the shop are another problem. Why investing time and money when the coin is most likely already dead (funny, how many coins just pop up and vanish after a few weeks. noone has patience anymore)?

Maybe he doesn't have the time to respond because he's busy promoting the coin IRL?

Are you coming from the Melmac planet ?

@ He is probably busy with the Eurocoin, which shitty dev told that it has hired another dev which is @forgetme. But that's not an excuse !

This same guy has been pumping out shit coins left and right for months (under various aliases) all pre mined and all total shit with no support whatsoever. Quit paying his bills.

Is it possible to get list about these aliases and coin names.

Earlier, the dev appears as facebookcoin, little up on topic, as italcoin. Smiley

Experimenting is good, but I think it's not productive to leave the kimocoin without attention before "stabilization" stage (when block reward will be 5000). As someone said, it's creating some disappoint feeling here.

You can go to the comkort.com, and sell these KMC on the KMC/LTC market. There are a lot of buy orders. Wink

I don't know about you, but I've been hashing for weeks and I think my ~20mil kmc is worth more than about 8 dollars USD worth of LTC.

since there is currently no development nor new informations, and because the price is extremely low, it's not even worth registering there Tongue

Look, you asked about 10 mln, I answered Smiley Of course, IMHO, it is better to keep KMC for the time when inflation will stop and downgrade. But if you want "money" now, when, sell it Smiley
And I'll buy Wink

P.S: Now i see again the panic, which seen before on this topic...

You guys are interesting Smiley  What kind of "new information" or "development" want? Except kimoshop stuff, kimo network is working, mining is mine. Smiley
The price is conditioned by the HUGE inflation generated by block reward.
Personally me waiting for "stable" time Smiley

Exchanges works not only with KMC, so, anyway it is useful to register Wink
