I will wait for this one   I already set up your notification BOT (will see if it work), I use a lot of this in the past and some of them already have issues.

Filipino is now available thanks to @sheenshane. You can change the language with /language or by selecting it in the menu.

Definitely, there are options that I wish that are available like checking the merit counts, merit received in 120 days, etc. which the notification bot that I'm using could do. But we will see Still, this is great!

I thought about adding something like this but before I did anything, I found this bot by GreatArkansas which already does that. My bot is more about notifying things in real time rather than giving a lot of stats, and I believe his bot suits well for its purpose. Maybe in the future, depending on which new features I think about or people suggest, but for now, his bot already does the job.

Yeah, Im also using GreatArkanas BOT which gives me that option. I've been using your BOT for almost 2 days now and it turns out to be great!

Thanks! I already had done something to avoid this but forgot to update the code after making the mention detection case insensitive. The bot thought you were a different person than the quoted one because bttzed03 !== Bttzed03. It should be fixed now.

Subscribed thanks for this @TryNinja. Waiting for some quotes and merits to pop up to see how it works. By the way does this bot have prompt message when you already subscribed. Like "The UID you write already been subscribed" or we can used it both on laptop or mobile device? Cause some using laptop at home and when he uses his mobile he can also check it out for updates. Anyway great work, will tell you if something odd or came up from experiencing this bot.

In this case, it's better if you use the same Telegram account on your laptop and mobile device (the messages are synced). If for some reason you need/want to have a different Telegram account per device, you can use the same username/UID in both of them. I haven't tested it extensively though.

@Little Mouse, I have added the /alt command that lets you choose a second username that triggers notifications. In your case, you can do /alt LittleMouse to receive notifications when someone post @LittleMouse, littlemouse, etc...

You can remove a topic from your watch/tracking list at any time. If you select "Show Topics" in the menu or send /topics, you will see the list of which ones you are tracking. Clicking on their respective button removes them.

Op can you add 'replies to op' notifications as well, so far none of the bots seems to have this feature. It may sound stupid but when you have many threads created it becomes kinda cumbersome to keep track of replies on all of them.

Edit: seems tracking topic seems to do the same, just little problem is that you have to add your threads manually, could it be done that when user subscribes to bot it automatically adds authored topics in tracking list?

You mean, notifications when someone post in a specific thread? Because we already have this (/topic and /topics command).

For example, you didn't quote me in your post, so I shouldn't have been notified... unless I was following this thread already.

I think that would be a bit too much. I prefer to give the users the option to choose what they want to get notified of.

The only thing that i'm missing in this bot is mute option - to be able to add few threads to blacklist and not receive notification while being mentioned or quoted there. It will help me ignore weekly reports about merit stats/clubs especially in few languages and other similar topics.

Tested it for a few days now, I can only say that I love it. Before i got notifications only when I was @mentioned. I see room for more improvement as some people already mentioned their suggestions but overall it's great

If you want to help translate the bot to your own language, you can copy the strings file, translate it to the language you want (only 53 small strings) and send it to me. I really appreciate any help as I only did English, Portuguese and French (with the small knowledge I have + some translation tools - sorry native speakers, PM me if any mistakes). edit: now Spanish, Filipino and German!

Right now, only 1. I can do some tweaking to allow more later, but right now I believe this is enough for most people.

2. How many topics can be tracked maximum

There is no limit. But also there is no pagination when you check your topics list, so depending on the number of topics you are tracking, it may not be as user friendly as it should if you want to check them or remove one from the list (lots of buttons). I have some improvements for that later.

Right now, I'm doing some refactoring in the code and making it more stable, but I already have a few features planned for the short term. Next one should be: Ignoring notifications from certain users or topics.

I like topic tracking feature and I will start testing it today.

I just released an update that should help with that. Now the scrapping logic has its own node process, separated from the bot logic. This should make things a bit more responsible.

I will also work in some extra logic to make sure the bot doesn't miss posts in cases where the forum goes down or there is any connectivity issue. E.g: Just got a few getaddrinfo EAI_AGAIN errors from the requests to the forum, which would make the bot stop scrapping posts until I restarted it. Thankfully I noticed it as it happened and deployed a small fix that will make sure it keeps trying to get new posts (however, it can still miss a few ones right now, if the error keeps happening for some time).

Tomorrow, I will work in the ignore users/topics feature.

Yes. And in specific threads.

For example, you just don't want to get notified when X mentions you, so you add him to the ignore list and the bot will just ignore his post. Or, you don't want to get notified when a user posts his weekly/monthly analysis data that has your name on it, so you can add his topic to the ignore list. The bot will also just ignore it.
