I was wondering if bot was down for a while as I didn't get notification for this post where I was quoted, then realized it may be because post was edited, can you please confirm if it's so because post was edited?

Done. Run the command /length X (where X is the length of the post, max value of 1000). Let me know if it works.

Very nice. I often find telegram preview too short. Just updated to /length 250!

I have noticed that I still get mentions and sometimes merits which are not correctly attached to the star or globe emoticon they are supposed to have at the beginning of the notification. I know it is rather just a visual feature, but is there a way to solve it?

Am I supposed to reset the bot, close the bot and then opening it again?

Perhaps you could also add some emoticon when someone we track in a topic posts a reply?

It works great on my end, I just upgraded the length to 300 characters.
This for me is one of the best updates to the telegram bot project as I struggle to make out the quoted message from the text in the notification.

I just refactored some code to fix this and a few other issues (+ to avoid future ones).

I accidentally noticed that someone quoted me, but I didn't see anything from the notifications on Telegram. it seems to me only from today.
in the meantime, I saw that a new official Telegram update was released, is that why the notification was missing?

No. They do use my API for some features in their browser extension, but no recent issues had nothing to do with it.

Thank you for this. I had run the character limit command for some days now and did not notice any change in the character limit, although I did not pay much attention to it at the time.

Just headed over here now to seek a solution to it and saw your reply straight away.

Just astounding tool that I discovered on the forum. May be something that I was willing to have since very long long time. I just used your service and this bot is something that everyone Bitcointalk user needs. Since we can’t ever understand what’s happening with our account (merits, mentions, new topics etc etc) without logging into the browser account. But this bot is just wow.

To be honest I even played with it. Tried to send wrong info about username and also tried to ask for help with UID, so just to see what it replies. Surprisingly you have the tutorial for the same. The bot does tell us how to work with it.

Hi TryNinja I've been using your bot for a few months and it's truly spectacular.  I hadn't noticed that it can be used within groups and therefore I did a test but since the telegram group is in topic mode, when the bot is added I can't set the topic in which it has to send messages.  Not sure if this has already been reported.  Some bots are able to send messages in a single topic by calling it with a command in the topic itself, if that helps.  Either way you did a great job.

I can make available the Italian Bitcoin Talk Italia group/forum which has nearly 400 members if you don't have one available.

Edit: But now Telegram has changed the rules and you can create a topic group even without 200 participants.

r/Bitcoin also joined the boycott 
I never saw so much reddit community members uniting about something, and that gives me hope that enough people do care about privacy after all.
