You're right about that. Choosing a specific token nowadays is very hard as most of them are crap. Very rare that you can encounter a valuable token. Their usual trend is going down and if you find a token which has an upward trend, you need to take a closer look at that project. There's no good or bad timing to hodl tokens. If the token has no real use case, there's only one end to that. They disappear in the market after the dev get their cash.
