When you are holding a real project then you will not be having any problem but if you hold only speculative projects then you must rush toward encashing or converting back to eth or btc will be good. I had lots of bitter experiences by opting some tokens for longer duration and then they got delisted from exchanges. It is better to think that 9/10 coins in the market are shitcoins, I used to believe this way coz I got so many coins in my ERC20 wallet came from various projects through campaign and airdrops but none of them is beneficial for me, coins like those were purposely made to look you got plenty of coins in your wallet. Yes you're right about this, timing investment is really important but there are people who don't know and they just want to get in at anytime and make profit lol. Someone was asking me about cryptocurrency and saying that he wants to learn about it and invest. He was very much interested from the start but when the pandemic started and Bitcoin's price crashed from the $10,000 price and down to $3,800 he got scared and started to lose interest.

Yup, that's why I don't support the idea that every time is a good time to be buying cryptocurrency. I do see some threads where people ask when is the best time to start buying tokens/coins and some forum members would tell them that they can buy at any time as long as they have the money. That 10% luck is so true, there is really no way you could make a profit if you never really get lucky, there are so many things that could go wrong in bitcoin business. I have personally seen an ICO owner die right during investment process, the team notified everyone and they said they will continue with the project but everyone basically was done with it at that moment and they just took the money and couldn't do anything, not that they scammed people but without the owner there was nothing to be done.

The time to hold is very important you can't just go and buy or invest in altcoins when the market price is still at a high point. Most of the time when it comes to altcoins I don't recommend investing especially for long term investment because a lot of altcoins in the market don't really give profit because there are so many altcoins in the market where the demand is not their anymore.
