I agree with you, SwC really botched this one... why not just have a different requirement (silly they even feel they need one) like "Have at least $10 in your balance in order to have chat privileges". Fucking 500 krill, who has time for that unless you are a hardcore SwC player??

they first raised it to 50, then 500 a couple weeks later. i really wonder who was abusing the chat so much that they had to resort to this. it'd be nice if they could implement a whitelisting system---for private games like ours if not for specific players. i doubt that's too likely though.

the last few orbits were really tough. i was totally card dead. @tyKiwanuka was short-stacked to my left but @Hhampuz and @Trofo were bullying preflop so i could never steal from him.

i finally came into ATo w/ ~6bbs left and naturally shoved. @Hhampuz called w/ QJo and rivered a straight.

I get that but... has to be a lot better solutions out there like age to an account, having a few $ on the account or something similar rather than putting the requirement at "you have to play a gazillion hands in order to chat".. oh well.

The lottery pool has passed the 20k threshold today and we have 3 prizes á 6,733 chips atm. If the number of participants remains stable, we should pass the 30k and have 4 prizes á 7,5k+ then in the end.

What a game. Well played everyone. Great heads up Hhampuz, and Trofo did a great job swinging that massive sack all around the table into the final 3.

Speaking of swinging that massive stack, I was getting so pissed with river runouts and you being able to comfortably put me all in. Here was the worst and I believe second time. Hard fold.


I couldn't really get a hand in edgewise when we were 3 handed you guys were aggressive. Heads up just went my way as I found some strong hands to double up twice, then when I went for the kill Hhampuz doubled up to even stacks I can't even remember the hand. I don't remember the hand that I went all-in on shortly after but I ended up with almost all the chips we chopped the next hand for fun then it ended. GG

My turning point again I would say has become the Flopped Nut Flush draw. I made a call on it again against a top pair and rivered the flush. I guess this means I'm probably due to lose a couple in tough spots soon.


Had a blast and didn't have to worry about conflicts with the wife as we finished up super fast. Have a great week and see everyone next time. I'm definitely trying to firm up a spot in the final.

It blows being one of only a few who chat. I personally think they should have made their own "copper membership" the Seagull or something. Not crazy expensive but allows you to table chat, maybe not main chat. Either way I like the 25/50 jackpot tables. This way you are also in for the BBJ if you are there, it builds up relatively fast I found and is earned for every raked hand played. I do also hit up a few tourneys that work for my schedule, but I earned like 1300 or so and I believe that's just since the tourneys started there.

Woohoo, I never notice this stuff . To be honest, getting into point finishes is not as hard as it used to be. Even sygambler and FOMA could get into the top ten spot without playing but getting the money finishes is damn hard . I managed to pull through last week and ended up on the money finishes but this week is bad for me

@Trofo, I kinda regretted that I went all in against you, I was confident with my 2 pair until you pull a full house then kicked me out of the game

Unfortunately I spent the whole series money I deposited on cash tables to get krill. Still only have about 35 its not an easy earn. 500!

Maybe the suggestion they just give some of us 500 krill might be the cleanest solution. If nothing else can change.

I was lucky to get pocket 10 and the moment you went all in, I was sure that you might be having that two pair of King and Ace so without any hesitation at all, I went all in as well . Ironically, I lose to Trofo on a similar note though   I was having two pair of Queen and Ace while he beat me up with either Full House or Three of a kind ( I cant remember what exactly )

cash games are faster, for sure. tournaments can be quite time consuming, as we know. it will take a long time to earn it at the micro stakes tables though.

you get paid krill based on the total rake paid at the table, not rake you've personally paid. so you can sit several full ring tables, play very tight like rakeback pros on pokerstars/full tilt if you want, and just collect the krill.

tbh i am just hoping they quietly ease back the requirement (maybe to 100 krill or something) after the chat abuse fiasco blows over. that should be attainable for most people here.

They setup the Bitcointalk Poker Series, right? So why can't they just enable chat for registered players in a password protected tournament. Either they are unwilling or they are lazy, not sure which is worse.. lol.

Got in touch with SwC of course, trying to find some sort of solution for this problem (in my eyes it is a problem indeed) - turns out, they would not do anything (for whatever reason, I don't know really). All they said was that Krill was raised to combat trouble makers and "may return to normal soon, may not".

On a different note - I am also waiting to hear back regarding those fancy hats the lucky winners ordered - they said they would be looking into it and I will post an update as soon as I have one.

Why is there any hurdle to use the chat anyway, I don't know any site where this is the case. Just because of a few people that can't behave, everyone is punished, just like in real world, where a few idiots make life for the majority harder.
They should just ban the chat option for those abusers and let everyone else use it without any requirements.

Looks very much like a little tool to get people playing, which is ok-ish for a smaller site in the end in my book. Maybe you can organize some Krill prizes instead of BTC sponsoring @efialtis

So may be this is time for us to look for some other platform where we can have fun instead of these boring games. I swear to god that if this continues then this is going to be my last tournament. In the next tournament we will need to have a different platform.
