I'm too overcautious.

Well, as we all know, there is a huge difference in going all-in and calling an all-in. I remember you going all-in with KQs in middle position with middle of the pack stack, which looked a bit desperate (for no reason). Webtricks called you with Ax with his monster stack and you won, but this play wasn't overcautious Cheesy This is the interesting psychology with Poker - reacting to aggression and being aggressive yourself. You folded QQ in a good spot and had a Hail Mary all-in with KQs in a (I think) bad spot.

It's similar with Hhampuz when he has lots of chips and triples the blinds nearly every hand Grin You fold better hands than he has, but what can you do; the power of chips Wink

KQs is a very strong pocket pair, in my opinion. When I went all-in with those cards: I din't expect a call, in the first place; secondly, I knew I had good chances to win in a case of calling. Now, two Queens was obviously a better hand, and I would not hesitate to call all-in almost from anyone, but not from @FOMA, who, based on my observations, usually starts playing only with good cards, and when he goes all-in pre-flop, you can bet he has something extremely good. Smiley

KQs is a very strong pocket pair, in my opinion.

I don't think so, but depends a lot on the overall circumstances of course Smiley KQs looks nice, but when you go all-in, you would have to consider which hands are likely to call your all in. You aren't favourite against any hand that has an A and any 55+ pocket pairs:

Source: https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tools/odds-calculator/texas-holdem

Of course you might also get called by KJ, KT, QJ etc., where you are strong favourite, but more often than not, you will also find yourself up against AK, AQ, high PP, where you need a miracle then. But each players has his own style and some lucky charm hands he likes to play, so there is probably no right/wrong here. I would like to see a flop first with KQs unless I am short-stacked, desperate and have to gamble Tongue

(...) but not from @FOMA, who, based on my observations, usually starts playing only with good cards, and when he goes all-in pre-flop, you can bet he has something extremely good. Smiley

Yep. But with <10BB you will also see non-premium hands then just like from every other tight-ish player.

Don't you become more vulnerable when you have a "if I get this I do that" plan.

I went out much quicker thinking I was knowing what Im doing. OK got AK do X.

People flopped out triple Queens vs AA all sorts of strong but ultimately lost hands.

There is only a few tournaments left now I think.

Need some points. Time to adjust something a bit.

Only if you play with same person alot of times and if that person show almost the same pattern most of the time. I wont point my fingers to that person but there are few person that almost never bluff 98% of the time. If he raise then there is a good chance that he has a good card, either some Aces or a pocket pair in hands  Tongue

But alot of us show different pattern most of the time so yeah it will be hard to notice all that stuff

There is only a few tournaments left now I think.

There are 2 more games to go before the Grand Finale and the points differences between #2 to #9 are only several points

i'm glad you give me so much credit---it comes in handy when i need to steal some blinds. Tongue

from early position, with that stack, i actually would shove AA/KK......but i'd shove a lot of weaker hands too tbh.

anyway, i'm all registered and ready to go for tomorrow's game. can't afford to take any qualifiers off unfortunately with these super tight standings!

ummm, you forgot my name. Roll Eyes

i'll take a 9th straight points finish and a bye for game #8 please. i know for a fact i'm gonna be on zero sleep the morning of the 16th and wouldn't mind sleeping in. Cheesy

i don't think we'll see @BitcoinGirlClub tomorrow. he's been MIA since his account got hacked and he hasn't sent me chips back on SwC yet.

I fear we might lose one of our evergreens tomorrow and will be down to 3.

evergreens?

Cheesy Grin I found no better word for our four heroes who sat down at the tables for 22 consecutive times.

ummm, you forgot my name. Roll Eyes

I think 23pts might already be enough to just qualify; you will probably get thrown out of Top9 only because of tie-breaker. If unsure, just play afk, which proved to be a safe way to get 1-2 points^^

Well thanks for these stats,  I need to be in top 5 in the next two games to get a seat for final table, not bad!
Registered for last two games! Tonight I work, so I will have to play from the phone, little disadvantage but what to do!

Evergreens sounds a bit too much like you are calling us old and well preserved and I already have too many years to appreciate being reminded about that  Wink

Anyway I' ll join our tournament in few hours when I get home and see you all guys there.
Edit: Joined both the tournament today and the last one in the series. That way I will not be tempted to miss out in case I can't qualify for the final table Smiley

Only for today. Prize money has been increased by 100% with total pool of 1 BTC! It's the final event of long running BSOP series that's why it is named Main Event. Sadly all of the BSOP Events started after midnight at my place so I wasn't able to play any. This main event will start at 2:30AM at my place. No way I can concentrate at that time so I will miss this one too.

1 btc guaranteed, if you have the time to play then it is definitely something not to be missed

I was skimming through all those tournament while waiting for my turn and I accidentally clicked and joined an Omaha tournament with 2mbtc buy in. I never play any Omaha before  Roll Eyes . If anyone can give me some quick tutorial then it would be nice lol. I read that I could create the best 5 cards combination using 3 from my hands and 2 from community card

I wonder How I do that in swc lol

Does this means I can only use the 3rd and 4th cards community card or some sort? lol. Kolloh and bitmutiny are playing here as well, too bad I cant chat due to the 500 krills requirement

I dont know whats on my mind when I clicked that lol , I am quite sleepy right now lol

Edit : nevermind, I choose to just give up by going all in so that I can focus on our game lol . Goodluck Kolloh and Bitmutiny

Lol of all the games to wander into PLO 5-card at that. I don't play much to crazy for me. Here is a quick google search for strategy.
https://cardquant.com/5-card-plo-strategy-the-fundamentals/

It comes down to you using 2 of the 5 cards in your hand to make the best poker hand. You have to be much more aware of potential flush draws and straights in PLO for sure. Pairs are fairly weak.

this was a tough beat for @Iv4n:

i semi-bluffed the nut flush draw the whole way, and got there on the river. then i saw him lose most of his chips on a preflop misclick a few hands later. sorry dude, shitty day!

you need to use exactly 2 of your hole cards, and then 3 of the community cards, to make a hand. lots of drawing equity to consider when playing omaha......

@Globbo
You lucky bastard  Wink I had so nice hand with 3Q and you bluffed it and managed to get the flush in the end. This was one of hardest loses for me and just in time to kick me of the final table and some points.

Sorry buddy.  Smiley

Not so much bluff as unmatured hand or something?   Smiley

All the best.

lol, you lucky dog. ace high + backdoor flush draw vs trips......not sure how you called there! i'm lucky i folded preflop. i almost called w/ KQo but wanted to play tight around the points bubble:

it was that call and a couple others that made be 3-bet jam into you w/ AQo later, since i felt you were playing like a bit of a maniac. of course you showed up with an actual hand this time! Roll Eyes

out in 7th.......
