congrats on taking it down, @Betwrong! i was rooting for you!

GG all. I'm out. That was a very tight table to play and being card dead was terrible.

yeah AQ was a welcome sight when i went out. i didn't really expect @bitmutiny to call my jam for more than half his stack with anything but QQ+/AQ+ given the dynamic at the time---didn't think he wanted to flip---but to my surprise, JJ. i am on a very long run of losing important flips, hope it turns around soon!

the runner's up tourney finished pretty quickly. very solid play from @jayce who took 3rd.
How do you and obaming get in the runner's up tourney btw? Both of you were in the Grand Finale as well Shocked

because @efi sent us the password and it was allowed?

That heads-up was some bullshit.

lol. what was the final hand? i missed it....

Lets see when and if there will be a fourth season.

I hope there will be a next season! It would be crazy to stop now when it's getting hot! Smiley
Thank you man for awesome stats after every game, for entire seasons.. you make this tournament more interesting with your stats!

the runner's up tourney finished pretty quickly. very solid play from @jayce who took 3rd.

@Iv4n came in heads up with a strong chip lead. we skirmished for a while but i never made too much of a dent. i 3-bet jammed KQo into him, ran into AKo of course. no suckouts today. gg dude!

Well I can only say I had good cards this evening. I had straight and flush on flop, set, two aces... interesting game for me, after bad play in series my day has come, I guess I'm not cursed anymore! Smiley

I see, I must have missed the conversation about this one and I dont receive any password from efi. Its all good though, Im not gonna participate either even if I have the password . I was just surprised to see your name on the runner up final as well  Tongue

That heads-up was some bullshit.

Bitmutiny has A7 while Betwrong has A9

The first 3 cards has both 7 and 9 ( I forgot what the other one was lol ) and then the 4th card was 7 . At this point I was amazed at how lucky bitmutiny was to have Three kinds of 7 but BOOM here comes the 5th card which was 9 and Betwrong won the Three kinds of 9  Tongue

Betwrong was luckier though

Congratulations Betwrong , tough luck you got there!  Smiley

I get your frustration, but you have sucked out people as well over the course of all the tournaments and probably today as well. And you made good profits in this series, winning 3 tournaments, finishing 2nd once and also cashing in the Grand Final (41k+ chips profit in total). Now all you do here and did in the chat is complaining and showing no sportsmanship towards Betwrong. You could at least congratulate him and maybe send some nice words to @efialtis too, since without him organizing all this, you wouldn't have made all those profits.

Nice words, and there's no argue with Ty, he just pulls out stats and you have everything on the table! So you have a nice explanation in words and numbers! He killed me a few times with some crazy hands and luck on the river! But that's poker! You can't be on the winning side all the time! Many times I were in heads up with bigger stack and then in few hands everything turns upside down and I lose! I understand frustration when something like that happens, but life goes on, I hope we will play again! Bitmutiny you are a very good poker player definitely!

I went out fairly fast again about the first hour.

Never mind, I came 11th in the warm up bitace tourney. I was second for most of it (out of about 200 people) so you guys have taught me well.

On another note I am now up to 120 Krill.

I have taken the lottery win 7k and doubled it on the cash tables.  Cheesy

Woop

I was going to entre the big btc ticket thing, but I was day dreaming and missed the start.

Trofo did you win it?   I saw you were in 7th ?

That heads-up was some bullshit.

Well, I don't think so. Smiley And I suspect you wouldn't call it bullshit if you won.  Wink

A lot still depends on luck in poker. I just was luckier than you this time, that's all.

I watch many of high stakes poker games, and interviews with top poker pros, and read stories about them ... this kind of stuff. If I have learned one thing, it is that you should never think that you are better than others, even after having several big wins in a row. Many poker stars have learned it hard way. Let's not repeat their mistakes.

congrats on taking it down, @Betwrong! i was rooting for you!

Thanks, mate! It means a lot to me. No kidding here.

It happened like you described. I'm just adding an illustration:

GG, everyone!

Thank you, @efialtis for your efforts in organizing this Series!

Thank you, @tyKiwanuka for the amazing stats!

Thank you, SWCPoker for providing a platform and adding to the prize pool!

Thank you to all of you, guys, who joined even just once!

Yes! I saw that too. I don't have a nerve to think that #4 Bitcointalk Poker Series  is starting this Sunday ... But, on the other hand, what else can it be? A mistake? I hope not!  Smiley

Hey guys,

first of all - sorry for the little delay - after watching the CL Finale on Sunday, the friends and me took a spontaneous trip and I only came back yesterday at night.

Congratulations to all series #3 winners - very well done everybody and of course a special mention for Betwrong, who took down the Grand Finale!

Special note:

I am also particularly happy for my friend tyKiwanuka's 3rd place, good job mate! It's very well deserved, especially when also taking into consideration the amount of work he put in, helping me out and then his awesome spreadsheet, statistics etc. Thanks for your support man!

Prizes:

I have paid out all the prizes yesterday, please check your accounts to make sure I didn't send to Nirvana. Wink

@Betwrong Your BIG BTC Ticket has already been credited to your account, too! Good luck for that tourney, keep us in the loop! Wouldn't be the first time some Bitcointalk Series Elite player rocking it! Wink (Goes to show the level has increased significantly over time!)

@Beethoven92 Sending your lottery prize in the next hour, too - just wanted to verify it's your account. Smiley Sent!

SwC are still investigating what's wrong with the flex-fit hats, will update when I know more.

Misc.:

Thanks to everyone for your participation and also for your understanding with regards to updating delays from my side every now and then. It's been quite the ride but looking back, overall, I am happy with how things went and I hope you are, too.

Have a great rest of the week, enjoy this last week of August with Summer (unfortunately) coming to an end soon!

Don't worry about the flex-fit hats, they will arrive one day!

Don't decide now. Wait until Sunday and then decide based on how you feel. I always have best results when I am rested and psyched to play some poker. When the time comes near you judge if it is better to rest a little and play big BTC later or squeeze a couple hours of poker in out tournament and call it an early night.

Big BTC starts at 23:00 so I have to be well rested and not working next morning to enter it with clear mind. If I am tired I just force it too much.

What bothers me right now regarding The BIG BTC! is that zero players have registered so far, and minimum players required is 9.

Is it possible that the tournament will be cancelled? I used to be kinda monitoring the SwC tournaments with the corner of my eye, and I don't remember a single case when The BIG BTC! was cancelled.

Anyways, if less than 8 players registered 1 hour prior to our T1, I'm registering for our tournament. As much as I want to play in The BIG BTC!, I don't want to miss any of our games.

Most people wait til closer to the start time to register for it. It shouldn't have any issues getting enough players.
