My system Windows 8.1 (64)
I downloaded the wallet from the official site http://www.groestlcoin.org/downloads/
Core 64 Bit
Wallet has 0 connections to network

I assume you downloaded this: https://github.com/Groestlcoin/groestlcoin/releases/download/v2.13.3/groestlcoin_x64.msi
The wallet has 80 fixed peers coded in and 5 dns seeds. If you gave 0 connections its a local problem.
Do you have a cyrilic username on windows? I heared problems of russian users with it and wallet didnt work. Can you try changing ur username to latin username.
Check if windows firewall or any other anti virus program is not blocking the wallet for connections.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Welcome to GRS. This thread is a little quiet -- we're all over on Slack and Telegram -- but someone does check it regularly (and you can always PM me).

Or: http://www.groestlcoin.org

yep, please, continue to update and check this Bitcointalk thread because
I don't like personally to be required to go to many different places for different coins
and I find way more convenient to just come to this site, and check the numerous coins
I am interested in....

thanks for your great work and development in this project...

Some of my guys think Bitcointalk is out of date. But I like it, and will keep checking in here.

Groestlcoin is one of the good old coins. It was always worth to check about news and features, because there were some really good guys behind this coin. I hope they are still here, because i wasn´t around here for some time.

Ohh that´s very great to hear that the original team is still working together. That´s a real rarity in the cryptospace. Where a lot of people jumping from project to project or run away without a trace. Wish you guys all the best and i will be here more often from now on.

Morning, Virtuoso. We find ourselves thinking we are 'old school.' That is, we feel that established non-ICO-able cryptos are the best investments. The 'froth' in the coins at the top of the charts is beginning to look a little crazy.

Its being pumped on Reddit's r/cryptocurrency a lot right now. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I'm all for it though.

True words. Some coins at the top of the charts are absolutely out of mind. Can´t understand whats happening there, but i´m glad that i´m back at groestlcoin at the right time. The price is already up  Wink

Mining question.
I'm building a rig to mine VTC with 3 1080Ti. I'm wondering can I also mine GRS with CPU? if so what CPU do you recommend?

Thanks,
Toooolie

sell order 70 k satoshi Wink yw

the best marketing in crypto is a professional website, a comparison to a top 50 coin which is in focus and a comparable supply of the top 50 coin which the coin is compared with, this is enough to get hyped to the stage of the compared coin because it´s in the peoples head, who knows which coin grs is compared with?

What about CPU mining? Does it pay off? I know most coins are not suitable for CPU mining but I heard that Groestlcoin is. I new to mining so can someone give me some tips and help me to start mining GRS.
