it happened because of the growth in bitcoin prices today. it all happens if bitcoin doesn't reduce its price shortly. eth might become stronger when bitcoin starts pumping again.

I think it will pump again soon and will probably surpass ATH in the near future. Ethereum 2.0 will create a new empire and attract many large investors around the world. followed by btc which rose 2%, i am not sure if this is a sign the trend will go up because btc has already started to move, but it could be just a momentary increase that does not signify anything.

According to recent market activity and the last bitcoin halving passed it's only a matter of time to start a bullish market. It may cause very soon after the first block payment. (hopefully). So when bitcoin will cross the 10k$ mark then we can hope a bullish market for cryptocurrencies. and we can see a massive surge in price mainly for the top altcoins. So I want to say according to the current situation we should hold ethereum.

If i remember correctly i read an article or reddit earlier that the launch is delayed, let them upgrade and let me see the performance to believe that it will deliver because they always promised things in the past and never delivered and if you make transactions now with ETH we know about the higher transaction charges, the market moved fairly high along with bitcoin and lets see if we will see some rally or just a small push trying to break free.

It'a amazing what ETH is doing, 10% in 24h for a coin like eth is very very good! It's not a sheet coin than we can't aspect +300% in 24h. In my opinion this is a sign for a bull market in this period but we have to wait a fews of weeks!

well, I agree that ETH is not shitcoin which can pump or decrease very quickly in a short time.
maybe this is a sign that the trend is going up, and what I see now is that the dominant BTC has dropped from 65% to 60%, is the altcoin market moving by itself now, and not affected by BTC prices.

maybe this is a sign that the trend is going up, and what I see now is that the dominant BTC has dropped from 65% to 60%, is the altcoin market moving by itself now, and not affected by BTC prices.

Ethereum is going up even faster than bitcoin at the moment and it has reduced the dominance of bitcoin slightly during the previous days, not by much but it is something, however this is something that should make us to worry as it is not likely the current bull trend can be maintained with the strength of altcoins and the volume of bitcoin is going down while its price is going up which is a clear sign of divergence and that a reversal may be coming.

Eth is definitely a longterm hold and as you have named the ico trend do not worry it is also coming back slowly but surely and even if it comes in the shape of ieo still most of the projects are eth based so eth will see demand also do not forget the defi and gaming apps and products being built on eth network and that is a big stimulus for the current uptrend.
