Seems that most of La Liga teams had difficult time in cup. Villarreal got eliminated by 3rd division team. Most ridiculous moment that games postponed because they lost electrocity in stadium, game was resumed only today, but it didn't helped Villarreal.
Seems that Barca can't win by more than 1 goal, even playing with 4th division team. 2:3 win against amateur team Barbastro.
There was also Canary Islands derby between Tenerife and Las Palmas. Was surprised that 2nd division Tenerife were favored before the game, but when I watched it, everything become clear, especially when Las Palmas didn't played with their main squad.

as with Salamanca, times are changed for Tenerife too, some time ago they were regular in Primera, if I remember it well, but those times seems as ages away, and Las Palmas is now new shiny star from Canary Islands

And how lucky Barca is with draw, as they got Unionistas in next round, while Real while face Atletico already in 1/8 final.
BTW, Spanish Super Cup will be played this week in Saudi Arabia - Real vs Atletico and Barcelona - Osasuna in semifinals.

I wouldn't pretend to know La Liga. Apart from Champions League usual suspects, I didn't even really understand much of clubs there, not even when Benitez came to manage Liverpool.

Unionistas was founded when Salamanca got bankrupt, had to check it out (it was their B team)

didn't had to know that, it was better for me to think that Salamanca is still somewhere fighting to get back into Primera, but now Unionistas is there to fight it out maybe in following seasons
going bankrupt was obviously main reason for Salamanca to relegate to third competition level

I really want Barca to win the cup but I feel we're way to weak at the moment. Osasuna will be a tough battle in the first place so final is itself not a given.

Between Atletico and Real, I feel we have a better chance against Real more recently so I'm hoping for a big Clasico final. Atletico is too good for us but Real we will have psychology edge, in my opinion.

What do you think guys?

You got what you wished for. I personally would have preferred Atleti Osasuna final, but El Clasico is nothing to be sniffed at either. I'm not sure we're watching the same Barca though. Yes, they've had great results vs Real in the past few H2Hs but Real has Bellingham... Barca's struggling to beat Las Palmas, I'd have thought you would prefer to meet Simeone's team.

Either way, important final as it's a key BSFL question to bookend the round.

Damn, what a game between Real and Atletico it was. Nobdy didn't saw 8 goals coming, expected to see low scoring game. But it was such pleasure to watch. Atletico was close to win game in regular time and then in overtime from reaching penalties. But Real is Real, they have mentality to win such games. Ancelotti didn't even celebrated that Real goal in extra time, he just raised his eyebrow a bit.

As I chose Real Madrid to win the cup in BSFL I want Real Madrid to win. I hope the old Fenerbahçe player and young wonderkid Arda Güler to play longer in the final match against Barcelona. After our (Turkish) Super Cup match wasn't played I'm happy that there isn't any very big problem broke out in the Spanish Super Cup so far. However I still couldn't accept that teams are selling their souls for money.

Yes after a winning season of record 1-0 wins now we are looking like 1 goal wins with 2-1 and 3-2 and 4-3 haha. Such a weird Barca to get used to so even winning 2-0 seems impossible now, and we still needed an even rarer goal from Lewandowski.

I got the Real final I wanted so I'm happy to win 1-0 or 5-4 or whatever.

Atlético - Osasuna instead of clasico?  Atlético look like a shadow of their best times, so their results are quite fun, but I still prefer the Clasico. Last year Barcelona unexpectedly won, and this year Real should take revenge and most likely fire Xavi at the end of the season because I can believe that Barcelona, having won the Super Cup, will be able to win one of the remaining three tournaments, but I do not believe that they will be able to win two out of three.

being CL participants didn't get them any favor, and it is probably better for them to get out from Europe completely

This season has been really bad for Sevilla, they were knocked out of the Champions League and are now in the bottom ranking of course Sevilla fate is getting worse, we know that Sevilla is actually a pretty good club especially at the time when playing in European competitions, but slowly their performance is getting worse and that very sad, currently Sevilla is in 16th position and is one strip above the relegation zone, Sevilla poor performance was quite visible when they lost to Alaves yesterday and the hope for them to recover seems quite small both in the league and in the last 16 of the Copa Del Rey later because it is precisely they will face Getafe who actually have a better performance than them, I think the next 6 or 7 weeks will be difficult matches for Sevilla.

It will be as it is shown in Superbru. Last match of this GW is Cadiz-Valencia. Postponed games will be part of some future double GW. We have this every season and naturally person that does good in GW with more matches has bigger chances for overall yellow cap winner but it is what it is.

Damn, who could have thought that Girona wil drop points against Almeria - worst team in league which still haven't won any games. Highest scoring La Liga team against worst defense in league and game ends 0:0. They can't waste points in such way if they're really dreaming about La Liga title.
El Clasico in Supercopa final starts after few hours. Don't want to get hyped too much and hold big expectations. Real already showed what they can in crazy semifinal.

Not that I can't choose Real, but when they play with Barca, I simply can't go against my team. Maybe it will cost me points, but I simply wouldn't feel ok going against team that I support.

Guys big congratulations to everyone who won top positions in this round.
I dont know how you surviving in La Liga jungle, but I am playing some of the worst few rounds in my life, now I am in bottom sandwich between trofo and cryptofrka, it is that bad.
If anyone want to bet me I am 99% sure Real Madrid wins the title this season.
