However, even Lille, who won that one title, do not look that great in most years, not like they were second many times after that, it's really becoming boring not just because of PSG, but others not being that great neither. Marseille and Monaco seems like they are doing something to change that, and that could make the league more fun, and could get it entertaining.

Lille are unstable which is because of not having a very solid squad. You just can't compete against a team like PSG regularly unless you keep your best talents in the team.  

However I admire one thing about Lille at the same time. They are one of the best teams in Europe when it comes to player sales. There have been so many very talented players grown there and sold to bigger teams for enormous amounts.

They are like the Dortmund of the Ligue 1.    They know how to keep their finances stable. Therefore even though they can't be in the title race often, at least they are good at not bankrupting.

PSG wants to focus on the Champions League and try to get the title in this tournament but they are not alone. Teams like Real Madrid also want the same thing but it was also hard for PSG to have any achievement in this tournament. Now PSG's first priority is the Champions League because they know winning the French League 1 is not hard for them considering the money they have spent on this team.
Currently, the only team they have raced with PSG is Marseille because of the good performance we saw from them but even Marseille is not strong enough to make any problem for them yet.
  

Last season, PSG's main rival for the title was not Marseille but Monaco, and Marseille finished the season in 9th place and lost to PSG more than twenty points. In the current situation, it is too early to judge, Monaco and Marseille have the same number of points, but they already have one draw, and only three rounds have been played. In Ligue 1, almost nothing changes, only PSG can have a stable season, the rest will lose points and this is normal.

Even though Lille couldn't beat PSG, at least holding back a draw could happen, but I didn't expect it to happen because I bet for PSG victory.
I admit that Lille is almost similar to Dortmund and this is a good news if Lille is able to continue to maintain his finances and have great finances, in the future Lille will be able to compete with the top team in League 1 when successfully bringing in several quality players. But all that takes a very long time and still PSG will continue to dominate League 1 like Bayern Munich.

Last season Monaco and Brest were the two main opposition to PSG's title win. Marseille had a rough season, but they came back this season with a different mentality. They got a new coach and some good players. This might be why football fans and pundits are tipping them as one of the title contenders this season. The season is still at its earliest stage with just three games played. We cannot predict what will happen in the middle of the season. But my prediction is that unless Marseille comes up with an extraordinary performance, PSG will still be crown champions this season. Getting a Champions League slot should be a great achievement for Roberto De Zerbi's side.
