Paris Saint-Germain has finally achieved the expected result. Lens has put up a very good fight so far, but after losing to Marseille, they have no choice but to watch Paris Saint-Germain take the lead. It's clear they've put up a great fight in the French league so far. However, in a league where Paris Saint-Germain wins the championship every year, they can do their best but they can't win. Of course, the race isn't over for Lens, but Paris Saint-Germain won't relinquish the lead to anyone now.

Finally, i dare say, we all expect great things from Paris Saint-Germain, it was about time they gave themselves a little wake-up call.
Lens are having a great season, there's nothing to complain about, and i have to say the league is becoming really fun, i don't know if you agree with me.

Have they not won the league one for the eleventh time. It is about time a new winners emerge.

The aim of the president is to successfully win and defend the Champions League.

This is my reason for not being happy with Marseille, how can you start well when the league started but drop form all of a sudden when it is most important. Lens are doing fine, more consistent performance is needed if they are to get the league title.

Paris Saint Germain focuses a lot on the Champions League because the championship is practically already won, of course nothing is certain, but it must be said that for them it is a great advantage not to have rivals at their level in the league and they can do everything they want when they go abroad.

Moat of the investment in players and coach that PSG has ever made all their years has mostly been for the purpose of the champions league so do not really blame them when they channel so much of their efforts in that direction because for them they are hoping to get the return on their investment from there and now that they have got a champions league trophy already, they are quite sure defending it will definitely not be a bad idea so they would want to put in the effort let it be that they were probably not just lucky enough.

The most appropriate phrase is that PSG is investing in players and coaches to increase their chances in the domestic league and maintain their dominance. I think this is more accurate, as it's unlikely they're investing in such a large-scale effort just because they're in the Champions League; they're certainly looking to reap two benefits. This is why PSG has consistently dominated Ligue 1. This isn't just a distraction, but a goal that must be secured.
I just want to see if the same thing will happen as last season, building from the ground up to the final, and is it possible for that to happen again?

I was wondering why they didn't score more than a goal in that game because if you watch as Le Havre was playing you noticed the poor defending and their midfielders wasn't good enough to stop Lens in any way, clear chances wasn't converted. Honestly I wanted to see why they have been causing a lot of problem for PSG and Marseille, like these guys made a statement which every team in Ligue 1 got clearly that they want to be noticed and maybe seen as title contenders too. I don't think PSG would go easy with Strasbourg since they know that Lens got a win and it will be like what we do see in the la Liga with Barcelona and Madrid, they use the result of the other team to motivate themselves, that is the same thing with PSG, it will be a win for sure.

It's not that they're not worthy, but rather that Lens are not yet capable of breaking PSG's dominance in Ligue 1 this season. Because not only are Lens still unable to beat PSG this season, but they also don't necessarily have a consistent winning streak until the end. So when Lens lost at Marseille last week, Lens had to accept the reality that they still have a hard fight ahead of them to stop PSG from dominating Ligue 1. This means that it won't be easy for any team to break that streak as long as they don't have the ability to surpass PSG in Ligue 1.

I think what Lens is doing this season is incredible; they are indeed fighting for the title and are currently at the top of the table. Look at the financial difference between Lens and PSG:

Lens is a team with a market value of less than €150 million, while PSG is a team with a market value of billions. Consider the lower financial expenditure Lens has made and their position at the top of the table – that's incredible. I know one could argue that Lens won't be able to continue fighting for the title, but PSG might not be able to either. Look at PSG's next opponent; they are an opponent that could cause PSG to lose points, allowing Lens to stay at the top this round.

True. After losing to Marseille, Lens mentality was resilient and they maintained their spirit as evidenced by their narrow victory over Le Havre which restored Lens to the top of the table.

PSG will face Strasbourg. This will be a tough match for PSG this match will be intense with PSG looking to take over the top spot while Strasbourg aims to improve their Ligue 1 standings and secure a European spot. Strasbourg also faces this match with good form having just secured a convincing victory over Lille. They are naturally ambitious to continue their good run.

Furthermore Strasbourg's form under new manager ONeil has improved consistently displaying a collective attacking style. This will be a tough match especially with PSG facing several injury problems. Underestimating Strasbourg will make it difficult for PSG to win.

Yesterday's Champions League play-offs draw was not very fortunate for French clubs. The only 2 teams that are still fighting in the tournament, PSG and Monaco got matched against eacother, so whatever happens, only one of them will make it through.
On the positive side, we have a guarantee that at least one French club will participate in the round of 16.

Whoever wins will face either Barcelona or Chelsea.

Marseille was close, but they dropped off. They finished just outside of the play-off zone, on 25th place in the table. I suspect they relaxed as they didn't expect Benfica could beat Real by a 2 goal difference, but that's exactly what happened.

But this time Marseille's position as the away team may put pressure on their own team.
