Based on the performance of both teams, PSG will not experience any difficulties when facing Brest, PSG have improved tremendously this season even without Mbappe in their squad. I will also bet PSG to win. The first reason is that PSG are in very good form right now. In every match we have seen PSG players perform well. Also the bonding between PSG players is very strong. Because of this they can play well against any team. Even in the last match against strong Lille, PSG players performed well. Therefore, in such a situation, the Brest team is not a strong opponent for PSG.

Another reason to consider PSG favorites against Brest is that Brest's defense is quite weak. Brest conceded 5 goals against Marseille and conceded two goals against Lens. Nantes also have made a really good start to the season. 2 wins and a draw. I have checked their squad and I can't say I know most of the names there. But for now the team effort is just fine. 

Do you expect them to finish at one of top positions this season? I haven't watched any of their game so that's why I'm asking if you have watched. We are likely to see this kind of teams making surprises in this league you know.

In games like this most persons do Jude by impulse because of the superiority of the other team, PSG is the team with the superiority where and so it's enough reason for others without hesitation to just consider them the favourite for the game but for me I don't do so, I make some reservations especially if I'm to place a bet on them and by that I mean I try to look into possible evenly of the game probably the number of goals, corner, cards or other available predictive options but I may risk it on another ticket that the superior team will win, generally I'm just saying there's never an absoluteness in the predictions of the possible outcome of a football game because most times we don't have that absolute control over the outcome and results of this games and this doesn't dispute the fact that PSG remains the superior team still.

I am one of those who do not believe in this assumption, how can losing Mbappe destroy PSG game because football is a team game, not an individual game. Luis Enrique is not a coach who only cares about one player, he does not make a particular player special in the team so that losing that player has a positive impact on his team's game. PSG players managed to show their best performance at the start of this season, their game was much better than before and this happened after Mbappe left.

PSG is starting to put their trust and hope in Luis Enrique. The club's board of directors is trying to extend his contract and make him a coach who can build a new era for PSG. The Champions League trophy is the only target that has not been won so far, they hope Luis Enrique can make this dream come true with financial support to bring in several top players.

Brest is not an ideal opponent for PSG, the different results achieved by both teams since the start of the season give an advantage to PSG, PSG increasing performance recently means Brest has to play closed with a focus on defense. This season, it is clearly not easy to repeat how they played their matches like the previous season. At the beginning of Ligue 1, Brest fell at home with a score of 0-0 by Leverkusen. Next week Brest will visit the Parc des Princes, the home of Paris Saint-Germain. This is indeed a reasonable forecast, that PSG will be the dominant side in the game against Brest. PSG has a much stronger squad, and they are trended positive, while Brest will most likely have trouble to keep up their performances from last season, especially against a team like PSG.

On the other hand, even though PSG is more favored, in football, everything can happen. Likely Brest will play mostly defensive in this game and wait for a gap to counter after. In football, that can be a worthy strategy, waiting to counter: if it's performed right total defense – Sure it's hard, having full of stars attacking line like PSG. Of course, they are bulky and difficult to capture.

As for player rotation, it can be indicated that while Enrique might wish to maintain his key players fit for the Champions League match, PSG is likely to expose most of their main players in order to win. Don't be too satisfied with what Nantes showed at the beginning of this season, because in reality they are a club that can only compete in the middle of the table, even last season they had to end the league in 14th position, that shows that they are not strong enough to be able to compete at the top. I'm not trying to underestimate them at all, but this is my realistic assessment of them based on what they showed in previous seasons. We still don't know whether they will be able to maintain what they showed at the beginning of this season, or they will have to experience a setback in the middle of the season. Usually clubs like them will weaken when they are in the middle of the season, that's what worries me that makes me unable to say they will be able to be better even though at the beginning of the season they showed something good.

Although in the last two seasons at least there have been surprises about Brest and Lens but anyway, the reality is that they are also always doubted to be able to survive in the top four. But who would have thought, at the end of the season they managed to be in the top four and it was a doubt that happened before but in fact they managed to finish in a very good position as a mediocre team. Thus, maybe this season we will also be faced with Nantes who might succeed like Brest and Lens.

But even so, I personally will still doubt Nantes because I am sure, over time Nantes may fall too but indeed,  will not fall into the relegation zone. Because after all, basically Nantes has always been a team that struggles in the middle zone of the standings or also struggles in the lower zone of the standings every season. psg had a perfect start to the new season, even without Mbappe, winning all three of their first matches. Luis Enrique has rebuilt the squad, and it looks like another French title race could be on the way. They’re still strong in Ligue 1, and I don’t see any major issues. while the French giant is adjusting to life without Kylian Mbappe, Enrique seems more focused on the Champions League this season. From what I’ve read, he’s happy with the squad, and now they need to unlock their potential to achieve big things in this new phase of the league.

Brest was actually not bad enough last season. I mean, the club's achievements last season were not bad, they could even enter the top 3 in French Ligue 1.



However, it is very different in the 2024/2025 season where Brest's performance has dropped drastically. They have only won 1 match and the rest have lost completely, including when they were slaughtered by Marseille.
