This is another thing I'm curious about the weekend. Their opponent is Rennes and it is an away game. Rennes have 2.70 odds and Lyon have 2.55. A very tight game is expected...

Lyon got a total defeat by 3-0 here last season. But they look stronger in defense now. Clean sheets in all 3 games. I think they won't lose. 1.49 odds for their double chance...

We all know that PSG are far more stronger than most teams in Ligue 1, but the main challenge of this season for them is in the Champions League, as they are currently the defending champions, which create an extra pressure on them again. The knockout rounds as usual are always tough, and looking at their fixtures, it won’t be an easy task. In league 1, they can still make mistakes and still win, but in Europe, they will need to be at their very consistent in every match.

Losing Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué is a major issue for them, as both players have been successful keys to PSG’s attack. Their absence gives Barcelona an advantage in the upcoming game, which now  Luis Enrique is left with tough choices. He will need to find new solutions and use the depth of his squad wisely. How well he adapts could decide if PSG stay in the fight for another Champions League title or fall short earlier than we all expected.

It wouldn't be a huge disappointment if they end up winning their own league and cup, but not win UCL again. It is understandable for them to not have the win here, because UCL is a very tough competition and getting to win it twice is very tough, let alone twice in a row.

So it is normal and understandable if they end up failing to win the UCL, and it wouldn't be a failed season if they did not do that. What they need to achieve however is get the league, which should be easy, and also get the cup which will be hard because they will focus on the league and UCL so cup will mostly get bench players and young players instead of main ones all the way until quarter finals or more (at least it should), it's the perfect place to rest your players.

Nice win for Marseille as they were able to score four goals this night against lorient I was not expecting this type of score line in this game because Marseille had not been that convincing in their last four games, maybe the home advantage played a role.

Marseille's victory was predictable, as you said, when playing at home, Marseille always capitalizes on home opportunities.
This makes me wonder if Marseille might always lack confidence when playing away from home. These two away defeats have made us a little hesitant when Marseille play away.

This is what I expected of Marseille a long time ago, pass on the massage of being an aggressive team when they play against a smaller team for the bigger teams to be aware of them coming hard and prepared, not sit back and allow the smaller team to make them look like trash. Without the red card I saw Marseille on another level to dominate the game from the beginning of the end of that encounter. My fear is for them not to lose this better performance any time soon because the season is becoming serious for every team to get ready to either get all 3pt or share points or maybe lose all 3pt.
This win will increase their morale to be on another level which is a good thing and they should also try to get every 3pt either away or home because there's no suitable place to say is good to win and secure the 3pt. Nice and Nantes these 2 teams have a bad performance and many get 1 win when competing in their own home. From H2H, Nantes can always beat Nice and this time I am very sure if Nice will get that win. And as for Monaco, even though they're playing away at Auxerre, their stats and squad depth are far superior, and their chances of winning are much greater. Without hesitation, I'm betting on a Monaco win this time.

Congratulations on you win, I also gambled on this game and I won, my gamble was for home team win both halves and they did. The early red card in the game made it much easier for the home team, in the first half they scored 3 goals and I almost thought I lost my bet because they second half hail didn’t come till the stoppage time. At the end the goal came and I won my bet.

Paris Saint Germain will go a long way in the champions League but don't think they will lift it again, it's impossible, they've got lots of competitions in that trophy, so I think last season was their season of grace, now they should focus more on their domestic league to dominate it like they have always do, but for the champions League no I don't really think they can.

Sure you're right I'm not really concerned about the French ligue 1, because they're gonna win it definitely no team can come close, even if there's injury there's still a possibility that they will win it, my major concern is the champions League if they can defend it, I know it's not easy but at least Real Madrid did it, so they can, now Dembele is injured and the champions League game is in few days after the league games, I'm just kind of worried for them, like it will certainly please me to see them lift the champions League for the second time, it almost seems impossible but it is possible if they should put to work.
