Despite this being a fortunate victory for Marseille, if this match were to be replayed Marseille would certainly struggle to beat PSG. But this victory isn't just about getting three points it also signals that this season's Ligue 1 title race will be much tighter. Many had previously said PSG would be difficult to beat in Ligue 1, especially since they were recently crowned the best team in the world and Dembélé won the Ballon d'Or. But in football there are always surprises in every match, and Marseille proved that surprise.

While this defeat does keep PSG as the favorites for this season's trophy, I don't think it will be easy, as the competition is fierce. PSG will certainly have moments where they struggle to score goals in certain matches, which will cost them points. Furthermore, with a busy schedule, PSG's players' fitness is a problem, which other teams will exploit to steal points from PSG. We could see this when PSG lost to Marseille because they didn't field a full squad. When PSG doesn't play with a full squad, there's a potential for dropping points.

That's the reason why Real Madrid strength is so taken into account when playing in the Champions League, they have complete attributes to compete with any team. However, it's not impossible for PSG to succeed in defending the trophy this season, and I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to do it. We understand that the dynamic of the competition for the trophy this season is very different from last season, but PSG hasn't changed much.
Meanwhile, it would certainly be delightful if a team that has never won the Champions League trophy before managed to do it this season, I think Arsenal is one of the teams that has the potential to do so.

Last year, PSG also had a difficult start to the season, and if you remember, they played very poorly in the Champions League, and at one point there was a danger they wouldn't even make the top 24. I personally believe that Paris FC will survive this season, though they must improve their rest-defence.

They will survive because they were able to beat teams that for sure will go down, like Metz, and maybe get some more points from other teams hovering around relegation but now they are a standings team, they are on par with Lorient, which was anyhow the actual Ligue 2 winner.
Probably a team to bet on over 2.5 goals as they reach that target comfortably 4 out of 5.

Yes, it's quite funny, but the Champions League winner got the toughest "group": Atalanta, Barcelona, ​​Bayer, Bayern, Tottenham, Athletic, Sporting, Newcastle. Actually, PSG performance this season is a bit different compared to last season, which was more consistent with only 2 losses throughout the entire season. This season, PSG has already suffered 1 defeat early on, which shows that this PSG team is not quite the same as last year.

That said, there’s no need to worry because PSG will still dominate Ligue 1. But when it comes to the UCL, we can’t really speculate on how they’ll perform yet. In my opinion, so far PSG showing a pretty solid performance in the UCL.

You are forgetting something which is that , PSG started last season on a struggling Note especially in the champions League . Don't forget that PSG even played the playoffs in the champions League group stages, PSG may have lost last week game but don't think that they are not that good again this season PSG is still a threat to Europe they because it will take time before PSG can fully get back to full form.

Marseille vs. PSG is scheduled for Sept, 22nd. It has been reported that three PSG starters will attend the Ballon d'Or: Dembélé, Doué, and João Neves. This means all three will be absent from the Marseille match. This may not really good, but previously, Dembele and Désiré Doué were still injured so they still couldn't play, at least until the beginning of next month.

Dembele we know is a key figure in the squad but his absence against Marseille is not one which I will want to believe  will affect  the team so terribly that they may have their winning chances reduced, mostly  what will happen will be that they will most like draw more than they will win but a loss is not what I am anticipating even with the home advantage  Marseille will be enjoying is not looking  really  threatening to me but except football happens, I still believe strongly  PSG has a good  chance.

We initially thought no team in Ligue 1 could beat PSG, but we saw a surprising result based on PSG's performance in that match. PSG currently sit in third place in the table, and while this loss isn't a major blow to their title hopes, it does provide a gap and space for other teams to try and disrupt PSG's dominance. This match also showcased Marseille's solid defense, making it difficult for PSG to penetrate their defense and score goals. We need another Marseille in this league to make the competition more interesting, and PSG themselves won't have an easy time winning the Ligue 1 trophy.

I think Marseille will soon drop from its position at the top of the standings, where we can see that there will be several matches coming up today. The teams close to Marseille's position will compete soon. And they will try to add to their respective points. Some of the teams with a good chance of overtaking Marseille are PSG, Lyon, and Monaco. As for the PSG vs Auxerre match I think PSG will easily defeat Auxerre based on their comparative performance. The available odds also show that PSG has a good chance of winning. And based on their last head-to-head meeting PSG is heavily favored. As for Lorient vs Monaco match I personally prefer to choose Monaco as the winner based on their last five matches performances.
