Look at the odds currently on the market, they're truly lopsided. Paris Saint-Germain has @1,29 odds, while Strasbourg has @9,6 odds. With those odds, can we really believe Strasbourg can even hold Paris Saint-Germain to a draw? seems a little impossible.

If that weren't possible, bookmakers wouldn't let you earn 29% in two hours. Think about it. Right now, both teams are statistically very close, so even though PSG is playing at home and is significantly stronger on paper, the odds are reasonable. National team games always introduce a certain amount of randomness. As I've written before, a simple bet on PSG doesn't look like value. If I take a risk here, it's with a -1 handicap.

If it is then they can go back to their dominant game easily again. They had so many important members missing in the attacking line.

As far as I know, Ruiz , Dembele, Marquinhos  and Naves will be out of the squad for the match against Strasbourg. And Barcola and Doue are likely to return to the squad. Even if he cannot play  against strasbourg, there is a possibility of seeing Dembele in the squad for the next match. On the other hand, it will take another 1/2 week for Ruiz and Neves to return. We will not see Marquinhos in the squad before November.

PSG does not need to take too much pressure for  the match against Strasbourg. If PSG's performance is somewhat stable, no Ligue 1 squad will be a difficult opponent for them. But even  then this match must be considered seriously. PSG's point difference with strasbourg is only 1. So if PSG loses somehow, they will lose the top spot in the  table.

The players are healthy but Luis Enrique may not use the players right now because they have an important Champions League match ahead of them, so PSG will have enough time with this match in mind and during this time PSG will give their main players full rest so that they do not get injured again later. I think there is no condition for PSG to take the field with the main team against all these rivals in the local league because if PSG can perform fairly against all these teams, PSG will still leave the field with full points.
PSG won the Champions League title last season, this season they will at least have to play the semi-finals of the Champions League, otherwise many will say that the big teams did not perform well last season, that is why PSG was able to win the Champions League title last season.

These odds aren't a guaranteed win. I've seen many games where the favorite had odds of @1.04 and lost. It's not difficult to see these types of situations. Just watch live games every day at bookmakers, and you'll see many cases of favorites who, in theory, should win for sure, but in practice, lose.

In the case of PSG, for example, in the game against Olympique, they had odds of @1.35, but lost. In the game against Lille, they had odds of @1.80 before the game started, and in the 66th minute, when they scored, they had odds of @1.15, but even so, in the 85th minute, Lille tied the game. So I wouldn't base my bets on these odds, especially since PSG has injured players.

I agree with you that Paris Saint Germaine usually struggles at the beginning of the season in the French league before they'll finally return to the peak of their form. It usually leaves the impression that they'll probably not retain the title again but at the end, you'll still see them going all the way to win it.
Marseille have unarguably been the best performing team in the league this campaign but do they have all it takes to remain that consistent till the end of the season? I strongly don't doubt. In as much as I'll want to see a new winner other than PSG, I doubt that PSG with the current squad and manager will fail to win the league this season.

Exactly, my friend, PSG is like this right now thanks to Luis Enrique, who has done his job very well, and part of his success is the team he himself proposed and asked the Sheikh to form. Furthermore, in the UCL, the performance he put in against Barcelona was on another level, so given these things, I also doubt that PSG will be crowned.

Well you made a good point about these France clubs, they have this crazy idea of making it to the top without staying there till the end of the season and playing tough but when it matters you'd see them making way for PSG as if they can't withstand the pressure of the current champions and this was the same reason I was pissed with Marseille. Marseille have every opportunity to top PSG last season but they went ahead to drop points which gave PSG the strength to avoid defeat till the end of the campaign last season and it seems to repeat itself again this season, why must it be PSG all the time? They're good and we all know but is there no team to challenge them strongly for the title? What are they not doing right that PSG are doing?

Because Paris Saint-Germain is owned by Qataris and they are no joking about recruiting quality players and coaches, at the opposite of the other French teams that struggle to make big deals and keep their stars. Some of these teams are risking to go down in Ligue 2 because they are almost bankrupt.
This is the direct and real answer. Of course you can find additional answers that might explain the situation and why for example Lille was able to pick the title from PSG few years ago.

You sound so sure about Marseille not been able to win PSG even in any circumstances, remember that at a times few seasons back, PSG did lost the title to another team in the same Ligue 1 despite all of their efforts, so I think if Marseille stays at the top of the table long enough, they can possibly create a chance to winning the title for themselves. So let us not be too sure of PSG even with their obvious dominance.

I believe in hard work and determination to get to a greater height if not I don't see some of these things coming to light from the PSG side and we shouldn't look at the moñey the owners have to make things happen with the PSG side. They have it all but I don't think that the only reason why PSG are at the top always, with money you can have the best coaches and players, yes but that same money can't play the ball...what I'm saying is for the other clubs to make their players to be a little bit closer to the standard of PSG players, they're all humans so nothing different.
About last season with Marseille I believe they felt too relax and when you want to get something from a stronger opponent tou gonall out and get it no matter what, i expected the players to double their effort just to stay on top but they even without playing in the champions league, on the other hand PSG took advantage of what Marseille left for them and top then focused more on the other event by then the league is theirs that's how serious clubs behave and I don't thinknis because of more, is just hard work and staying consistent.

PSG ever since they touched the title has become a dominant outstanding and outperforming King of the French Ligue Un, it seems like their birthright every season now, it’ll be hard for any other team to dethrone them.
In a way it’s just like Manchester City in the EPL, Just money and a total overhaul and the team became a long standing of the league.
If the owners of Marseille, Lyon, Lille and Monaco are really unhappy, I believe any of this teams can be a tough contender if proper management and motivation  is done. I feel they’re too relaxed and most times don’t even give PSG any competition, League will end when we’re about 3-5 weeks away so appalling. They need to wake up or any surprise team can just do a Leicester.

It is true that the performance of other teams in Ligue 1 will not be able to break PSG's dominance in the fight for the championship title. Sometimes other teams perform well at the beginning of the season but when they end the season they do not perform well so that PSG can lock the title with a large points difference.

In Ligue 1, the strongest team is PSG, having won successively titles. Even Marseille and Monaco tried to disrupt them, but to no avail. Furthermore, PSG has a great coach and excellent players, making their title defense unstoppable. Unless other teams can make major improvements by bringing in quality players, that will certainly open up a greater chance for them to win the title.

Strasbourg wouldn't be able to withstand the pressing forces of PSG this weekend, we know alot is going to happen in this particular game and Luis Enrique is extremely been patient to welcome his winning boys back on the pitch. The sidelined players might literally start from the bench and he will still keep some of them simply for the core reason that he wants to secure winnings. If these starting lineups stay the same until the start of the match, it means that PSG will still be missing some key players, and Strasbourg will have a chance to avoid defeat. However, if you look at their matches against Marseille and Monaco, they lost those games, which means it’s difficult for them to earn points against strong teams. I think 1.3 is a decent odds for PSG’s home game, but it’s too low to place a single bet on it.

Strasbourg will be the first to take all that pressure, followed by Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. It will not be easy for Strasbourg on the pitch; they will hardly have a chance of scoring even a single goal in that game. The game will be very difficult for them, no doubt about that.
