This your prediction is not going to work, I can't imagine PSG losing and drawing any of their remaining matches, this league title has been over since three weeks ago. Lens should be happy that they will be playing in the champions League next season. But if they are still hoping on the league then it's over that is the reality. Even if PSG drop points Lens still has to catch up with PSG before even thinking about overtaking PSG in points  And looking at the number of games that are remaining I don't see that happening.

Why not, bro? In football, surprises can always happen. Even rescheduled matches can change everything. Ligue 1 feels like one of those leagues where unexpected things happen quite often. 

There are still 4 matches left, meaning 12 points up for grabs for both teams. So in my opinion, the title race is not over yet. Even though we all know PSG are still sitting at the top of the table, I’m still hoping for a miracle that could give Lens the luck they need to win the title.

Bayern Munich is a very dangerous and strong team. They demonstrated this in their first match against Paris Saint-Germain. Despite conceding five goals, they maintained their discipline and managed to win the match 5-4. In my opinion, this is a success for Bayern Munich. Paris Saint-Germain certainly deserves congratulations for winning the match and gaining the advantage. In the return match in Germany, Paris Saint-Germain must play carefully and strongly to protect their advantage.

I think Luis Enrique should already be thinking that the team will draw, that's a given. They'll be in Germany, where they'll be in a tough spot in many aspects, so Luis Enrique doesn't have it easy at all. It's a super difficult team. I'd say PSHG's strength is attacking down the flanks, as they've done, and relying on the good finishing of their forwards, but the truth is, this match is going to be very, very tough.

The most competitive match of all the matches in this season's Champions League was the first leg between Bayern Munich and PSG. Until the end of the game, it seemed that either team could win or the result of this game could be a draw, but in the end, PSG secured a victory on their home ground and left the field. The second leg match will be held at Bayern Munich's home ground, where the match will be very difficult for PSG. If PSG could have been ahead by two goals in the first leg match, then they would have had a chance to win in the second leg, but since the goal difference is one, in that case, Bayern Munich can come back strongly. Even when PSG does not take this league very seriously and their performance drops compared to last season, other teams still lose points. That's true, I agree with you completely because the teams who are suppose to capitalize on the failure of PSG to increase the point gap are busy struggling even to win teams that are not that strong, the problem the Ligue 1 have is that they lack consistent teams and I wonder why they're still having 18 teams... This shouldn't be a league that have it too easy as if is only them (PSG) are on the league, well we have to keep hoping to see PSG lose out on winning the title not this season or next but whenever the other teams are ready to fight till the end.

Teams like Monaco, Lyon, Marseille, and Lille are the teams that are supposed to to always mount pressure on PSG just like the big six in the premier league, but every season, their performances get worse, they are always looking bad every season and PSG is capitalizing on that to take control of the league because they are unstoppable as none of them tends to be serious.

This season, Lens steps up and was able to top the league 1 before fatigue affected their them, but they still perform better than the above listed teams overall but they can’t end what started that’s why they gave up to PSG, and there is no doubt about PSG winning the League 1 because Lens also dropped points.

However, it is not yet over, anything can happen even though they can win their remaining matches, but I think they still need to be very careful in their teaming game.

Yes you're right, maybe they should organize something different for those teams who are always settling for 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th maybe they'll increase their performance, it has to be because they are coming back every season not to compete but let PSG know that they have given up even before the first game of each season, what a shame. Lens are the best whenever you mention some of the clubs you put out there, they came out from nowhere to do the unthinkable, putting pressure on PSG to let them know that they (Lens) are eager to get their hands on the trophy but they couldn't complete the job, not that there isn't time or PSG won't drop point, no it could still happen.

It is even very likely that Lyon will stay in that third position, Lille is not looking like they will be able to displace Lyon to take over the third position for Lyon to now settle at the fourth, they currently have the same points without any gap but few games to the end of the season and if you check the fixture ahead for them, you will agree that Lyon is more likely to finish third than Lille would due to the fixtures they have remaining if they will be able to get through it with wins enough to earn them the position. Lens is the only challenge i am seeing for Lyon that may cost them some point but other remaining fixtures are ones which they can win with almost no challenge. meanwhile Lille has got AS Monaco and Auxerre that is trying to escape relegation who will do everything in their power to win, so it is more of a tough one lined up for them.

There are three teams in two points: Lyon, Lille and Rennes and it will certainly still be a battle to understand who will go to the Champions League. A question for those of you who follow best: in the event of a draw on points between Lyon and Lille, who has the greater goal difference?

It's likely to be a lot more pressure for PSG, since their mentality probably won't be the same as in the first leg. On the other hand, Munich already has a read on PSG's tactics and strategy. That should make it easier for Bayern to try and chase down the aggregate deficit.

playing at home is definitely the best thing for a team, especially in the champions league, where there are teams that are much stronger, having the support of the public is definitely one of the fundamental things, in fact in my opinion they won also for that, certainly not only for that but also.

Contrary to this, I think this is some intentional attempt by PSG to help them focus on the champions league more, recall that PSG in all of this at no point descended to the fourth position or even third, I hope I am not exaggerating, that stability around top three still shows dominance but a tactical relax to tackle what they considered more difficult at the time. If PSG had crashed out of th champions league long a go and faced the Ligue 1 championship, I doubt if by now they will still be having any doubt about  winning.
Normally we know too that defending a title is often difficult than winning it for the first time, so PSG needed to put in more effort if they really wanted to defend the prestigious title, and that effort has resulted in this.

The drop in Marseille's form is just insane... Once again they look like their 2023/24 season version who is struggling a lot for even a European tournament qualification.  

They were able to win only once in their last 5 games. 3 losses at the same time... Do you think they will manage to qualify for a tournament? Only 3 games left. 2 of them are easy, the remaining one is against Rennes.

I think it's a physiological decline, and that there's really nothing that can be done, Marseille is going like this this year and there's nothing that can change the fortunes of this team, it's sad because honestly they can do really well and the standings aren't even in a bad shape, certainly with a little more effort they could have gone to Europe.

I don't think so. PSG is fighting for both champions league and Ligue 1 titles this season. So psg  could not focus in several matches of ligue 1 and lost points. But they have been able to maintain stability in champions league. If they had  focused only on ligue 1, then maybe they  could have won this title easily. Also Lens is performing brilliantly this season. And that is why PSG does not get much chance to be ahead  by a big margin. The main reason why PSG's performance in ligue 1  is a bit unstable is because of focusing on champions league matches.

I don't think so. PSG is fighting for both champions league and Ligue 1 titles this season. So psg  could not focus in several matches of ligue 1 and lost points. But they have been able to maintain stability in champions league. If they had  focused only on ligue 1, then maybe they  could have won this title easily. Also Lens is performing brilliantly this season. And that is why PSG does not get much chance to be ahead  by a big margin. The main reason why PSG's performance in ligue 1  is a bit unstable is because of focusing on champions league matches.

Weren't the same PSG competing in the Champions League and Ligue 1 both last season as well? Weren't they the one who even won the Champions League trophy while dominating the Ligue 1? 

They were doing all of those things right? The difference now is that they are going to collect less points in the league because of being a little worse. And of course Lens managed to keep up with them for a long time.

I don't think PSG can even drop point from how exciting their play was against Bayern Munich, sometimes I do have this feeling that PSG can't drop point and us good like that, it shows that they are completely in control of Ligue 1 (my annoyance is where other teams can't meet up), I'll still say it again that PSG are the only team in the Ligue 1. I still give Lens the praise if they finish 2nd, is still a good move and a better challenge only that the only opportunity they had could not be used properly against the Champions PSG. If Lens make it to the champions league it won't be as easy as they play in the Ligue 1 this season so in other to get it right they need to add more fresh legs that can make the team keep moving in the position direction.

Paris Saint-Germain are fully motivated right now, I think nothing can stop them in the domestic league. Besides Paris Saint-Germain motivational reasons, we also have to see how & who Lens opponents are in their schedule from the remaining matches, there's still Olympique Lyon, destroying them is certainly not as easy as imagined. So, betting on Lens to win Ligue 1 is a stupid way to spend money IMO.

For the sake of things remaining interesting (and because I made a long-term bet on Lens winning the league) I hope PSG will lose some points today against Lorient, but chances of that are really slim.
Lorient does have a high draw ratio (over 35% of their league games ended up with a draw), but one point is the most they can hope for. There's a chance some of PSG's key players could be rested today, to save them for the Champions League rematch against Bayern, but Lorient doesn't have that much at stake anyway, so I don't expect them to put up a fierce fight.

If PSG wins today and Lens lose to Nice, that would effectively mean that PSG defended their championship. Lens would still have mathematical chances of winning by a better goal difference, but that's close to impossible as PSG currently is 15 goals ahead in this metric.

I don't think Lens has much of a chance now. PSG will probably not lose 3 of the remaining 4 matches. There is a 6-point gap between Lens and PSG and their GD point gap is 15. Even if PSG loses two matches in a row, it is impossible for Lens to take the top spot. Because even if the points are equal, PSG will be able to win the title due to the GD gap.

From this situation, PSG will unofficially confirm the title if they win just two more matches. Lens have competed well with PSG throughout the current season and forced PSG to go through a difficult time, but they were not so consistent towards the end. It is no longer possible to compete for Ligue 1, so Lens will have to finish the season in second place and prepare for next season.

Rennes is completely out of it because by point difference they are a point below and by goals, they are still behind so it will not be difficult to count them out as the main battle will be between Lyon and Lille who has the same points and same goal difference at the moment because they are the two teams who may likely swap positions due to points or goal difference on the table later by the end of the season, that is when we can be sure of who is going to make it to the champions league.
