Last year Nice managed to beat PSG by many goals, but at that time Nice was better than they are now. Even so, bookmakers are giving high odds to PSG because they are not very confident of an easy victory for PSG. Lens defeat to Lorient away will haunt them all through the season because PSG may not loose any of their remaining games. But I must applaud their consistency and title chase at least making the title competitive this season. Marseille has long dropped points and pose no threat to PSG which is why Lens has done a good job by keeping the pace closer. PSG must be very careful in order not to drop points this time or they could loose the title at the end.

In the first half, there was a really good attempt by Nice to resist PSG but then PSG was able to overturn the game and took the lead by a penalty and now the second half has come to an end with PSG wining by four goals. PSG has been able to further strengthen their top position by getting all three points in this fixture, a really brilliant performance from PSG.

Despite a good effort to hold off PSG in the first half, this team was moving forward without a hitch, you saw that. In fact, this League 1 is easy for PSG, as we have been constantly seeing proof of, as they achieved another 4-0 victory today. Nice showed a fighting spirit in the early stages but then I saw that the Portuguese player started to put PSG ahead by scoring a goal via penalty in the 42nd minute. In this context, it seems that if the French league team can secure wins in all their domestic league matches before the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, so it's safe to say that this team will be confident going into the first leg of the upcoming Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool.

Lens biggest issue this season is not their performance against big teams, but the points they dropped in games they were expected to win easily. It’s a bit frustrating because over the course of the season they have shown that they have the quality to be at the top, but football does not reward almost. Those small slip ups in so called easy matches are what usually decide the title race at the end of the day. Consistency is the hardest part of winning a league. It is one thing to play well in big games, but champions are the teams that grind out results even on bad days.

All that you have said is very true, correct and agreeable, consistency is one part of winning that most persons probably do not speak about and that is like the most crucial part of winning because you have to continually put in the effort to expect results in the later than to just not do anything or doing it randomly and expect a certain kind of result that may not be achieved.if Lens were consistent enough and making progress continually, they probably will be closer to winning the title.

Lens is gradually becoming very strong, if they continue this way for several seasons they could be able to challenge the reign of PSG in the Ligue 1. They're at the top of the table currently and it's very good for their confidence to get stronger, although PSG still have an advantage to win the trophy cause they still have  outstanding matches to play. Lens really thrashed Angers yesterday, I expected them to win cause of their form but the scoreline is what I would've argued over cause i didn't expect it.

They finished seventh, eighth and now they are second. They are not doing great overall if you zoom out, they are not gradually becoming better. It's not like they were 15th and then 11th and then 7th and then 4th and then second this season. No, they had midtable seasons back to back to back to back, and then one season (this season) where they are doing a fine job.

I am not denying that they are doing wonderful this season, great job and I respect them for what they are doing. But that doesn't mean that we are seeing them getting better over course of seasons.

Their important players were not fit and the two best players went on an injury that lasted for a long period, It affected their performance in the League and even Champions League but when those players got back and fit, you can see how the team has improved so well. One player I think is not really rated as expected is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Dembele might be the key figure in the team but Khvicha is fantastic, he's the reason why winning Chelsea in the Champions League was much easier. Winning the Ligue 1 is possible but the Champions League would be tougher.

Last year, Inter experienced a similar situation and failed to achieve success in both the league and the Champions League. Currently, Paris Saint-Germain is similarly competing for the championship in both the Champions League and the French league.
