Rennes is completely out of it because by point difference they are a point below and by goals, they are still behind so it will not be difficult to count them out as the main battle will be between Lyon and Lille who has the same points and same goal difference at the moment because they are the two teams who may likely swap positions due to points or goal difference on the table later by the end of the season, that is when we can be sure of who is going to make it to the champions league.

And the best part is that the match was on another level; it was amazing to watch them play, it was impressive. Personally, I'd say that things would have been better with these two teams in the final rather than a semi-final, because the truth is that Arsenal and Atletico didn't show anything. PSG has always shown itself to be superior, however, with Bayern it was different. It's not clear who is the best; everything will be decided next week.

Maybe if PSG and Bayern Munich meet in the final it will be more interesting to see last season champion with the strongest team at the moment which will certainly be very difficult to predict, the match in the first leg was really amazing I thought Bayern Munich would win the match or at least get a draw but it turns out PSG is stronger when playing at home and can win the first leg but in the second leg everything will be more difficult for PSG because only a 1 aggregate difference is likely very easy for Bayern Munich to turn things around.

I can't wait to see the return, Bayern Munich is one of the great teams that in my opinion can easily win the tournament, if they overcome this obstacle they will have the chance to play the final with a much less strong team than PSG who are practically and could have been one of the finalists and a stronger team of the tournament.

PSG needed to win this match. But they can't win. PSG would be ahead of Lens by 8 points if they win this match. They could have played pressure free in the last three matches. But now psg will have to wait until the match against Lens to win the title.

PSG rested several key players from their squad against Lorient. Still they played well enough. PSG players were able to attack a lot. But their finishing was poor. Also the performance of the defenders was not good. PSG will definitely lose the second leg if they play with such shaky defense against Munich.

That was hell of a game between Lyon and Rennes by the way... 3.17 xG and 4 goals by Lyon! Endrick continues to impress. Fonseca is using him as RW mostly despite his being a CF naturally.

I must say he is doing pretty good there as well. Top 3 teams qualify for the Champions League directly and Lyon are doing so well about it for now. They have been winning for 4 games.

I don't think both teams have defensive issues just that they both want to play attacking football not minding if they would concede goals or not that's why then you see them play you would always expect goals since they are after more of goals instead of attacking and defending effectively. Arsenal has a good defense this season if you check well they has conceded less goals, also Atletico Madrid players more of defensive football we will see less goals between Atletico Madrid and Arsenal but PSG and Bayern Munich will produce more goals.

Paris Saint-Germain and Lorient played on equal terms and I think it was important for PSG to win this match.. It is very surprising that this team is now more focused on the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, as a result they are not bothered by losing or drawing domestic league matches. We were all shocked to see PSG's starting XI against Lorient because most of the players who will play in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final were not in yesterday's squad. However, it is undoubtedly a great plan from the French club's manager as they look to defeat Bayern Munich because everyone can see it they are playing domestic league matches with inexperienced players even though they are at the crucial stage of this French league.

I can't believe the disappointment Lens' fans must've felt after their team failed to win against a very weak Nice on Saturday and didn't take advantage of PSG unexpectedly losing points to Lorient (a 2-2 draw).
If they defeated Nice, the gap to PSG would shrink to 4 points, and with a direct game still to be played on 13th May, the hopes of winning the league would still be alive. But since a 1-1 draw is all they could get against Nice, the chances are now purely mathematical.
What a wasted opportunity that was. They took the lead in the 60th minute, but 20 minutes later, Lens' Abdulhamid got sent off. Nice took advantage of that straight away by scoring the equaliser in the 83rd minute, effectively killing Lens' championship dreams this season.

Lens just never surprise me!    Maybe it was still going to be like a dream for them but they could have still beaten Nice. The gap would have been 4 points now.

Their squad isn't just capable enough. They are normally a mid-tier team of the Ligue 1. This is already the best of best they can do...

To me, I don't really think it's basically as a result of their weak defense lines is why we saw them scored this so much goals in that match (9 goals totally) but if you know PSG and Bayern Munich pattern of play very well, you will acknowledge that both clubs really are goal scoring machines, Therefore it looked like both defense lines were weak because both teams were open and came out to play unlike what we normally witness with other games, where this team will come out to play the other will be playing defensive game.

I do not believe this because both Bayern Munich and PSG are stronger than Arsenal and Altectico Madrid, due to which the winner will be from both Bayern Munich and PSG. Because Bayern Munich scores 3 to 5 goals in each match and PSG plays with all its effort, it is difficult for Arsenal and Altectico Madrid to succeed in the final. PSG will play quite easily on this day because they are one step ahead of Bayern Munich, so Bayern Munich will have to score as many goals and will have to be tough on every goal of PSG so that they do not score.

That 1 goal difference was one luckily one for Bayern and a big disadvantage for PSG, if the PSG side had been vigilant at the back I believe it won't have ended the way it did last week, that 4th goal for Bayern came like the last goal Doku scored last night. Playing against a team that have more attacking minded players show force the PSG players to have a 4th eye to see where the dangers are coming from. From how the first leg ended I expect Bayern Munich to be the side to pressure more to get goals while PSG are suppose to relax but not much then absorb the pressure until they have an open before we start celebrating the first goal.

You are absolutely right this semi finals pairing between PSG vs Bayern munich would have been the absolute final of the champions League. It would have ended up as one of the best finals that the champions League would have ever witnessed. Because the first leg were just some else if you ask me, it was end to end stuff right from the first minute of the game until the final whistle signals the end of the game. This game was the best game of the champions League to me this season, I really doubt if actually the finals will be entertaining as this game. Let see which team will make it to the finals among these two.

My opinion on this is that the winner between PSG and Bayern will be the winner of the UCL. I say this with certainty based on the poor performance shown by Arsenal and Atletico, which for me is something that greatly disappointed Atletico. Personally, I think whoever wins the other matches will be the winner. I hope they don't make Atletico's second leg so boring.

OL is lucky they managed to get Endrick's services from Madrid. Endrick's arrival made a difference, and he is always involved in goals during matches. The latest news is that Endrick will not be returning to Real Madrid anytime soon. It seems that Endrick feels comfortable. Currently, Endrick has become the best player, and he is even ready to stay with OL. It seems this condition is quite important for Endrick. Another aspect is that he stated he is comfortable and will stay longer with them.

I think they have a big potential to win both of these games.    Toulouse have no goal left to achieve first of all. Lyon should be able to handle them.

Lyon has been performing quite well recently even beating PSG a few weeks ago. Lyon is currently in third place with two matches remaining as you mentioned. If they can win those two matches Lyon could potentially finish in second place and overtake Lens who currently have a four-point lead over Lyon.

The reason Lyon is likely to overtake Lens is because Lens faces tough matches in the remaining matches, including Nantes, Lyon and PSG. Therefore, Lens has the potential to drop six points against Lyon and PSG given their current declining form. Lens did start the season well even tying PSG at the top of the table but their performance has declined drastically recently, dropping points in two consecutive matches, putting them further behind PSG which will undoubtedly impact their performance. Perhaps Lens will focus on the French Cup final against Nice rather than the league match because in the French Cup they are only one step away from winning the trophy this season.

Lens' performance has been impressive this season, as they, with a squad valued lower than other major teams, have managed to compete at the top. So, even though they only managed to finish second, it's not a bad thing, on the contrary, it's a good achievement. Furthermore, they are now one step closer to winning the French Cup. If they can win this trophy, it will be historic for them, having gone 27 years without a major title.
