I'm yet to see any team that will be lining towards competing with Paris Saint Germain for the Ligue One title because none of these teams have proven to be eligible and even competitive, they can only try but can they be consistent in the upcoming seasons liked Paris Saint Germain? Ofcourse NO because they don't have what it takes to reach this phase. This season, it is as Lens, they did their best but it wasn't just good enough to maintain up to the level of PSG this season.

Luis Enrique is looking forward to make the club an ultimate one that wouldn't be looking scare or frighten by oppositions, he aimed to become very advanced and confident within his players because he certainly know his team is going to deliver a master class, that's what they needs to stay at the top.

This season we actually saw Lens pose a threat to PSG in the ligue 1, and even though they were not able to keep up with the quality from PSG, I most say that I was really impressed with the way that Lens performed and put pressure on PSG. This is what the ligue 1 has lacked for a very long time. If the management of Lens can retain these set of players and refuse to sell the current players, but try and bring in one or two players to strengthen the team then next season I see Lens winning the ligue 1 title.


But the biggest problem with teams from this league lies in the fact that, at the end of each season almost all the team apart from PSG, will sell off all their important players for money. And bring in players with less quality which will not be too competitive to challenge for the title hence PSG has been winning the league title without any problems.

Nice drew the first match and gained a slight advantage.

Monaco is a very big disappointment, they are one of big teams in their league but they have become an underdog that struggles to make it to the European competition it's just a pity cause they will be struggling to attract quality players for next season since they will be playing just the league and their cup games. Monaco had the opportunity to qualify for one European competition but they blow their opportunity when they couldn't win their games. Filipe Luís becoming the manager of the team will not give them immediate results they need to have good players and improve their performance also.

The solution is to never give up, keep fighting even if you get relegated, you'll try next season!

Sometimes lucky is just what helps one get results and it does comes with consistent or persistent attempts, because luck can only come when the effort has been made. But sometimes even with all the attempts luck may not be on your side just like we saw with some of the relegated teams, they may have put in the effort but still did not make it, so luck sometimes matters.

I believe in Filipe Luis even though he hasn't managed a European team yet. He has had a great run in Brazil so far. He collected many trophies there.

He knows European football very well on the other hand. He played in Europe for so many years. I don't doubt his knowledge because of that.

Monaco is a hard team to deal with currently. But there are some good talents in the squad. I hope he makes use of those names well.

That could be one reason why Monaco failed to qualify for the Champions League or Europa League, despite the quality of their players being quite good. However, the lack of a ability coach in managing the club has prevented Monaco from achieving those positions. A new coach could improve the team's overall performance if he can maximize the players he has, but when it comes to competing for titles next season, with PSG's increasingly complete squad, it will be difficult for any team to compete with them.

If the team hasn't taken off for a long time, the only solution is to change the coach and wait for him to work and sort out all the problems the team has.

If it is about players alone then i do not see them having a chance at the title next season, they will not be able to contend firmly, they have fairly good players but will also need an improved tactical approach form their coach to getting them to improve and play differently next season than they did this season, and there are top contenders up there that will require more than an average performance to be ahead of them.

Wherever they are, coaches are usually the first to be blamed if the club they coach doesn't live up to expectations, both for the club and the fans. So, Monaco should definitely take further action for the club progress. It's a good decision to change coaches. A club like Monaco, if they can't win the Ligue 1 title, must at least finish in the top three every season to qualify for the UCL.

PSG has been at the top of the winner's chain in league 1 for seasons, and they have been the best for only two seasons in the champions league obviously this is different, if we count from the last two seasons yes, we can say that, but what about the previous seasons? are we going to say the same thing about this?
As for his performance, I don't doubt it because he's been a great team this season and there's no doubt why his opponents have all lost in league 1 because they're so good now.

I don't know if they were the best team this year, they certainly beat the team that could have been this year's winners, Bayern Munich was truly the team that could have lifted the cup this year, but they didn't, and Paris Saint-Germain beat them so they can beat anyone at this point.

It's very difficult to be an opponent to PSG in the French league. They have a squad far superior to the rest of the league, and they've even reached the Champions League final. They possess an incredibly large and magnificent squad. Furthermore, considering their style of play, they are among the best in Europe. Therefore, it's very difficult to find an opponent for them in France. Frankly, eliminating them is also difficult. Now they will compete in the final, their only remaining goal is the Champions League.

PSG is a very strong team and i think there is no doubt to anyone about their strength and their capability of doing well. PSG is a team which manages to defeat Bayern Munich and get access in the final of champions league.  So , I think its true that it is not easy to be the opponent of PSG. They have really a very strong squad and this is what makes them superior and incredible. And if they get any of their player is injured they are the one which might not face any problems in such unplanned situation which is I think also really very good thing. It's very difficult how to maintain their strength and being stable and top team and it needs a lot of efforts for any other team so they can compete with PSG to be at their level.

I got wrong about the first leg of the Saint-Etienne - Nice matchup... I thought there would be BTTS.    Both sides seemed like they didn't want to take big risks.

Probably a similar game would be seen again. Maybe this time a 1-1 draw and extra time, who knows! But no matter what (except a red card), I expect Nice to be the one leaving the field victorious.

If PSG decide not to play in Ligue 1 next season, then maybe Monaco will have a chance to win the title. Besides, I can only see good competition at some point in the season, nothing more. If Monaco start doing well under Filipe Luis, then it might be to qualify for the Champions League. To win Ligue 1, they have to beat PSG, which is still quite difficult for them. If Monaco also start giving PSG a hard time after Lens, then maybe the league will start to be competitive. I want Monaco to do well to break the monotony.

Right now, no team is the favourite for winning the UEFA Champions league both are having good balance, and both won their respective leagues. This is a good encounter between two teams.

Even some are expecting PSG to easily defend their title, but it's looking wildly challenging. This could be a new era for both Arsenal and Mikel Arteta. Luis Enrique is experienced, this could be helpful for them, but Mikel Arteta is also doing a good job.

What happened to Monaco was truly surprising especially considering they've been a team that consistently qualified for the Champions League every season. This season they should have achieved that, but in their last 10 matches they've slumped. They've beaten strong teams like PSG, Marseille and Lyon in their last 10 matches. However, in those last 10 matches they've also dropped points against weaker teams like Paris FC, Auxerre, Toulouse and Strasbourg.

The lack of consistency at the end of the season has prevented them from finishing in the Europa League or even the Champions League. Of course with Monaco's squad this season it's safe to say this is the fault of the coach, who hasn't been able to capitalize on the potential of his players. Monaco is a great team and I hope they can bounce back next season with a new coach and compete with PSG for trophies.

PSG were the best team, they played other big teams before getting into the last stage of the competition. PSG played against Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, while Arsenal played lesser teams and they barely win with good margin.

No team is as good as PSG that competed for the Champions League, Arsenal are good competitors but they have a lesser successful victory against PSG in the Champions League final.
