Lens received a red card after taking the lead, but they put up the best fight against Paris Saint-Germain. Perhaps Arsenal should take them as an example. They couldn't stand up to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. It was a magnificent victory and a beautiful trophy for Lens. Taking the trophy from Paris Saint-Germain made their achievement even more remarkable, as Paris Saint-Germain was the best team in Europe last year.

Surely Lens comes out of it with much more confidence in themselves and with a lot of determination after a victory like this, taking the trophy away from the strongest rival in their championship, i think these are satisfactions that don't often happen to be achieved, but given the match they played we can say that they deserved it.

Lens used the exact same strategy in the cup final that Arsenal used in the Champions League final. The only difference is that Lens defended better. That’s why they managed to win the final despite even receiving a red card.

Even though Lens were already leading when they received the red card, the odds on PSG winning were still very low. It was only towards the end of the match, when it became clear that Lens could actually win, that the odds on PSG started to rise. This shows that the bookmakers believed right up until the very end that PSG could still score. I didn’t expect PSG to lose, but I didn’t bet on this match because I thought it could be a difficult game.

It really irritated me, as if Lance was some kind of yard team. When the second half was already underway, I think it was the 60th minute, the odds for a PSG victory were 1.70 (before the game 1.60), and Lens was quoted at 5.40 (I don’t remember what happened with a draw). I didn't want to take the risk and bet on Lance, so I just closed the tab and then just looked at the result. By the way, I watched the highlights and Lance had several good chances to score the second goal, they didn’t play in a full bus. But Dembele, of course, missed the best opportunity.

Cup games are always that difficult but, considering how they handled the Aston Villa game so well, this was supposed to be a walk in the park for PSG, Lens shouldn’t have offered much contest and to make matters worst, Lens had a red late into the first half, about 40 minutes in and one would expect PSG to find their way right back in but no, Lens were able to hold them down to the final whistle, that was disappointing.
PSG is one team that, coming back from behind could have being easy but, they just couldn’t work that out today and they lost.
I was surprised why Enrique decided to leave Dembele and Mendes on the bench, as if this was an easy match and not a title final. PSG actually played well, but Lens' defense proved an insurmountable obstacle. I actually think this defeat could put Emery and PSG in their place, because they apparently thought before this match that they could beat any opponent, but even a red card couldn't help them do so. Perhaps Lens will try to take the title from them again this season.

In the French Super Cup match, PSG suffered an unexpected defeat against Lens and failed to win the trophy. Lens took a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal by Florian Thauvin. Kylian Antonio was sent off with a red card seven minutes after the goal, just before the end of the first half, leaving his team down to 10 men. Although PSG dominated the match, they were unable to find the goal that would have taken the game into extra time. I—and anyone else—would have expected PSG to turn the game around in the second half, especially with their opponent down to 10 men. We have to say this was a poor start to the season for PSG. For Lens, defeating PSG—the Champions League champion, UEFA Super Cup winner, and reigning league champion—in the Super Cup and lifting the trophy will serve as a source of motivation for them before the league season even begins.

Many lost their bets on that match, Paris Saint-Germain, arriving highly motivated after winning several major competitions, had hoped to secure the French Super Cup. However, they failed to secure it. In my opinion, they underestimated Lens by not playing all their best players from the start of the match. Take Ousmane Dembele for example, who played from the 60th minute of the second half. On the other hand, Robin Risser played very well in his position.

Looking at the last two finals, I don't think Luis Enrique is going into the game to win the title or to evaluate the opposing team. They managed to win the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa, but they got the result they deserved against Lens. I think Luis Enrique deserved this defeat so that Luis Enrique doesn't underestimate any team in important matches. He may have thought that Lens would be easy to beat like Aston Villa, but he may have forgotten that Lens was the team that put their championship in danger last season. If he had started with a full-strength team from the start, PSG could have won the match.

PSG are having a poor performance in the final match of the Trophee des Champions, in fact, they are performing much worse against Lens today compared to the way they won their second UEFA Super Cup title in the last match against Aston Villa.

We can see that the 81st minute of the Trophee des Champions final match has passed and Lens is still leading by 1-0, so if the UEFA Super Cup winners PSG want to defeat this team, they will have to counterattack even harder. If PSG had been able to win this final match today, we think they would have been able to win two titles before the new season starts.

It was a hard match for PSG because from their performance in the first half they didn't really show much energy to win. Maybe the got tired from the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa few days ago. PSG had the privilege to level the score and possibly make a comeback after Lens player received a red card but they wouldn't make good use of that opportunity.

The match is finally ended, 1:0 settles the score. Lens was able to win the Trophee des Champions from PSG. The only problem I have with Lens is that they will start with a good performance but before you know they will start losing matches in the French ligue instead of being consistent to contend the title.
PSG looked completely exhausted in the final of the Trophee des Champions but we believed that the team that won the UEFA Super Cup for the second time in recent times would be able to bring home another trophy. However in this match they were behind in just the 32nd minute against Lens and then they had a chance as a Lens player was sent off in the 39th minute but have you seen Lens were reduced to 10 men but they managed their defense brilliantly as we saw that the reigning champions PSG were unable to score as their game was ruled out for offside at the last minute by a goal by Fabian Ruiz.

Everyone expected the French champions to win this final match very easily but their best players were missing in this match such as Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele. Since PSG were unable to win the French Super Cup at the start of this new season, it seems that they will try to be more aggressive in Ligue 1 in their upcoming season.

Yes, and actually a lot of gamblers are very unhappy with the team, honestly it wasn't the PSG I was thinking I would see this season, I thought their performance will still remain as it use to be but now it has become weak from the strength that won the champions League, this was also how their two preseason matches are, they never won any of the two matches. PSG opportunities was more than six to get a lot of goals but it was always above the goal post, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia even surprise me because there was a chance for him alone on the 18 box and he missed the goal, So actually were I knew that PSG was no longer in a good form was when Lens receives a red card from 39 minutes and till 80 minutes PSG could not outperformed an incomplete squad. Lens is definitely going to be on their neck this season.

You guys amused me sometimes, we are talking about the UEFA Champions League trophy and you guys are talking about something French domestic trophy, do you guys actually think those guys would stand a chance to even get a draw if that was a UEFA Champions League trophy? Let's try to be realistic at times, I won't say maybe Paris Saint German didn't want that trophy, but I strongly believe they don't Care about that trophy, trust me, and why should we blame just Arsenal for losing to Paris Saint German, who would believe Bayern Munich will get kicked out by this same Paris Saint German team?

PSG left their best players on the bench for a final. What could possibly go wrong!! Lens were down to 10 men and still parked the bus like champions. PSG had all the ball, all the chances and still could not break through. You can't win trophies by assuming the other team will just roll over. That is not how football works. This defeat might actually be good for them. It should serve as a good reminder that reputation does not win games performance does.

the Lens victory gave me so much satisfaction, I supported them to beat the PSG team, because of how hard they worked last season, but somehow they lost out on all the trophies. If Lens can keep up with this tempo this season, they might likely win the league this season. The league is in need for another team that can challenge PSG dominance.

You can sense that confidence in them last season, they were so good to the extent that they topped the league at some point, but their lack of squad depth and inexperience was their main problem that was why they finished second last season, but I am impressed that they have improved since they can now beat PSG despite having a red card in the 39th minute, they manage to hold the game and maintain their one goal lead till the final whistle.

I checked the lineup to see if PSG used their second team or so, but I found out they used almost all their first team players and yet, they lost the match. I can’t wait to see next season and see Lens do this again, because PSG is the only team that can stop them.

Ever since I started watching Ligue (which is not really a long term) but ever since, PSG has been the most dominant team in the league, just as Bayern Munich is to the German league, I feel like PSG is just Ligue 1. I have watched Lens play before but then the overpowering ball PSG plays in Ligue 1, is exactly what I'm referring to, like without a doubt we all can assume PSG takes the league this season. No one would really contest that but then again, it is football and anything can happen.

Let's not forget that we are still at the beginning at the season, many PSG players had a long summer because of the World Cup in the USA, so they didn't rest properly, and then soon after that they were back training again. On one side probably Luis Enrique did underestimate a bit Lens, on the other this is the type of defeat that could happen at the beginning of the season. Nothing too serious in my opinion.
