It was really unbelievable that PSG couldn't score a goal despite being reduced to 10 men in just 39 minutes. I wouldn't say that PSG were weak in attack, they were on top of the attack from start to finish throughout the match, with 21 shots in total, but RC Lens played such a great defensive game with 10 men and ended up winning the match 1-0. You're right, PSG underestimated the team, I'm thinking to myself, I thought at first that PSG would win the match, very easily, but Lens really proved everyone wrong and proved their superiority.

Yes, and actually a lot of gamblers are very unhappy with the team, honestly it wasn't the PSG I was thinking I would see this season, I thought their performance will still remain as it use to be but now it has become weak from the strength that won the champions League, this was also how their two preseason matches are, they never won any of the two matches. PSG opportunities was more than six to get a lot of goals but it was always above the goal post, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia even surprise me because there was a chance for him alone on the 18 box and he missed the goal, So actually were I knew that PSG was no longer in a good form was when Lens receives a red card from 39 minutes and till 80 minutes PSG could not outperformed an incomplete squad. Lens is definitely going to be on their neck this season.

I don't see it that way. Luis Enrique may have underrated the capacity or the strength of Lens this season, thinking that it is still business as usual and forgetting that all teams have gone back to their drawing table and are getting well prepared for this new season. Let's not forget that we are still at the beginning at the season, many PSG players had a long summer because of the World Cup in the USA, so they didn't rest properly, and then soon after that they were back training again. On one side probably Luis Enrique did underestimate a bit Lens, on the other this is the type of defeat that could happen at the beginning of the season. Nothing too serious in my opinion.

I believe that instead it was a mistake of the various individual players to believe they could win the trophy in such a simple way and not listen to the coach who always tells them to stay attentive and concentrated.
