After a long wait, the Ligue 1 season is about to start with Marseille vs Strasbourg. Although I did not spend time at the betting table for the first match, I am trying to keep an eye on the match. I was not expecting Lens to perform the way they did last season because that is one of the ways that things can be much better, because from the beginning I should have known that you don't underestimate anybody, and that is exactly what happened in the league because after the end of the season they were just six points behind psg and that is exactly what everything is turning to look like. and if care is not taking the league is going to be more competitive than last season but psg will be a difficult club to be able to challenge so for them to win they have to find a way of winning against psg.

I don't expect anything different this season. It would take a strong team with good players to battle PSG. But Lens have not been able to rise to the challenge.

I thought they would spend a lot in the transfer window; they focused on balancing their books by selling players like Mamadou Sangaré to Brentford. They have spent about €15m on a few players, such as Michaël Cuisance, Maik Nawrocki, and Michal Skóraś, which is commendable. I might be wrong, but I don't see this squad dethroning PSG.

It's just being so annoying to me seeing how Lens and the rest of the other teams in the French League aren't stepping up their games to try to dethrone PSG from dominating this side of the league for a very long time now, and I don't know when any of them will be able to do such, live up to expectations, and change this tradition that has long been witnessed here. I expect these other teams to boost their squads and bring in quality players too, as PSG has quite a good number of interesting players on their team who have helped them in maintaining their dominance until today.

PSG are the best team in France and nobody can outplayed them when it comes to be France league or even the UEFEA Champions League. Luis Enrique and his men are cooking something for this new season. They've sign new players and Luis Enrique knows what to do. I trust him because he will half his team. Some will play in the France league while others will play in the UEFEA Champions League giving his main players time to rest well and look more sharp for games. Kudos again to PSG and Luis Enrique because I know they will win and lift trophies this season.

For one team to be dominating the league competition, it hardly makes the league interesting. That is why Ligue 1 is not too highly rated, because it is not competitive. I want to see different teams winning Ligue 1, but the way things are going, I don't think any other team will be able to win the league for a long time except PSG.No team is really ready to spend money to bring in new players and strengthen their squad. Without a lot of money, I don't think the other teams can do much.
PSG have enough cash flow to regenerate the players they want, while other teams tend to bring in mid-level players to be molded into great players. Ligue 1 football doesn't tend to attract a lot of big investor interest in my opinion. Ligue 1 is less competitive because of that, so it's hard to expect any other team to be able to stop PSG's dominance there.

Some of the top Ligue 1 teams may still be able to stop PSG in a few seasons, but only if PSG are in poor form. For now, I think it's hard for any team to stop them from winning the title, unless a lot of their key players get injured throughout the season.

I feel like the match against Lens in the Trophee des Champions has exposed PSG'S weakness because Stade Rennes was the better side in the first half, their manager must have took his time to rewatch their match with Lens and note how his team would press PSG.  However PSG noticed their flaws in the 2nd half, worked on it and successfully equalized, the match has ended with a draw. It's not what many bettors expected and I'm quite sure many would've lost cause they expected the champions to win but from PSG'S end a draw is better than a lose and they're lucky to escape defeat.
