I think it's just a bug from CMC, currently Polkadot New is at Rank 2155. I didn't follow Polkadot but for a moment I was shocked when Polkadot was in the Top 10 position, I didn't follow Polkadot. And for Polkadot members/hodlers, hope you find success there.

The total MCAP is not yet calculated but when you were visiting another site like coingecko and you will see how much the real mcap of this coin. This coin is the same as EOS which used the total supply to make it placed at the top price.

How Many coins had been released to claim being the next or can beat Ethereum yet all fails?i don't know about this polkadot but Cardano is one good coins to Keep holding,Now falls in Top 10th currency but this has a future .

New hyped project. Sadly, not to buy it on bitfinex after listing because they not implemented card buying option via ownr for this project

this coin has been hype for a couple years now, it was in top 20 even when it don't have a blockchain to prove, deep pocket whales could turn any shiit project into a shining star, just saying.

well 2 years is long enough to prove their capability to bring progress about the project and the team.

Personally i expect a lot from the polkadot, the project brings a cross-chain solution to the market, and that will be in great demand in the future. They prepared for a long time, but finally started

Actually Ive been a follower of polkadot. The price seems okay and judging from the current market is reasonable to be on top mcap easily as the coin has been traded on top market with huge volume.

I can see that whales are finally shifting to dot and probably setting up position. There are too many altcoins that needed to be keep on check. Cmc details are sometimes flawed and displaying wrong information. But in my opinion, its natural for dot to be on the top already.

But dont ecpect accuracy since the coin has been redominated from the old dot.

I need to get serious with Polkdot and the tokens launched on its platform. When friends were drawing my attention to it, I didn't feel any need to invest in it, I may as well be looking at it and hope I don't end up buying the top.  But why was the coin re-dominated? And its effect on future growth.

It's surely a new coin as I never heard of this before, and it's not right to think that a new coin that just recently pumped up would already become a thread to ETH. It might have a better system (smart contract) than ETH but it would not beat the community that supported ETH which was established through time.

Polkadot is not that new, but started trading on BNB recently, and that is why it surged to top 10, because all coin tracking websites actually put circulation supply token numbers and then market capitalization that was unknown surged to mark their spot within top 10

I know dot tokens have been experiencing a massive increase in liquidity lately. I noticed they're the top gainers in some exchange today. I really don't have information about the project, but it's surely taking the cryptocurrency space by storm. I hope that the project does not rest on her mission to become a contender with ethereum.

I feel that it is not as easy as you think because ethereum already has a lot of use and many projects are created from the ethereum platform while polkadot is a new project that not many people use it means that its price and popularity can never beat ethereum.

I respect polkadot as an authentic project and maybe after a long time we are seeing an authentic project with innovation and advanced services for crypto and blockchain but it is too early to call it a winner and nam8ng it as the best. Lets wait and see how it goes.

Polkadot was highly anticipated project even before it was listed for trading and it is right time for it to be launching in the market as market sentiment is becoming positive day by day. With quality services polkadot will definitely become a top coin.

On the other hand, we can't easily judge a thing like this, the market is so volatile and it seems to be impossible but having this miracle will something it tells that many investors had considering its potentiality to gain market demand in perfect time and that is what we have now. The current valuation is crazy and time will tell for a project that has nothing in production currently. The space is still open for some of these Ethereum competitors to take the top spot form Ethereum before the launch of the Ethereum 2.0 and if some of these new projects fail to come up with a solution to the scaling solution than bye-bye. I still feel the project is over valued at $4 billion Mcap

I don't really follow polkadot but I do think this project will be the toughest competitor ethereum, moreover, there have been many tokens that use polkadots blockchain and have great success and also I have tried tokens from polkadot even though currently most of them have ui wallets that are not good but I am impressed with the fee and also the transfer speed of Polkadot because it is very fast, even in just a matter of minutes the coins we transfer can enter the exchange, if Ethereum wants not to be competed by Polkadot I think they must immediately fix the problem of upgrading ethereum 2.0

I have been reading and hearing the same word for the past three years now and have not found a single competitor till date for ethereum.

Moreover, this project deals only with smart contract and if your are aware about ethereum then you should know smart contract is one of the features that it provides.

On Coinmarketcap the coin is still not ranked because probably Coinmarketcap didn´t know the current supply. Secondly, they swapped the old DOT coins to a new one with a 1:100 ratio. Last time when I wanted to buy Polkadot, it costs 3 times less, probably we will see another bull rally on PolkaDOT coin, they are at the beginning.
