The current valuation is crazy and time will tell for a project that has nothing in production currently. I just went to coinmarketcap, BNB is still in the top 10 and no change has occurred. Looks like you checked it out at coingecko? Btw Polkadot is a big project and I believe it will rapidly grow strongly in the future, and the top 10 altcoins in 2021 will have this project name.

Polkadot is only seen on coingecko and thats where BNB is displaced in top 10, whereas Polkadot is does not apear to list above BNB on coinmarketcap. Polkadot almost got full dilution which could be the reason for the high marketcap and I think it could distracting information. If binance list DOT and also owns coinmarketcap with possibility of been bias, I dont understand the reason for the difference in chat position.

It looks like you didn't not even understand if MCAP is not yet determining the total marketcap for DOT but when it was doing it and then DOT can surpass BNB instantly and all of the information related DOT token is fully explained in CMC. It will be fully updated very soon.

Simple math, if the total marketcap of DOT can surpass the total marketcap of BNB the shifting will happen. The same is true for all other top altcoins too. The Coingecko also has the APIs from different exchanges and additional tools for comparing the price/volume/marketcap. TOP exchange's data is more reliable, so I will wait for the settled dust before thinking about to invest PolkaDot or not. BTW, you can't learn investing with try and fail methods.

It's not typo but it's not yet updated by CMC and when CMC will be updating it and it will have the same result as what data that has already showed by coingecko too. The circulating supply, price, and total supply that have already showed by both were the same.

DOT has already made a very great progress. I think that this question must not be asked again.

Actually I have been hearing a lot of noises lately, in reddit specially about this Polkadot and I'm thinking that this could be the next LNK or something. So it's interesting where the project will take off, I'm not saying that I'm going to invest, but I have to look at it closely and do my own investigations and see how it goes. It is sounds viable then why not, I'm just afraid that it could be another pump and dump coin though.

this seems to be an issue on both, Uniswap and Polkadot, but also on other hyped projects, DeFi is the new name for perspective projects, and you just add it to your project, even if you are building a bakery, and people will invest, it was the same .dot bubble in nineties, but this is a new generation of people, that have to learn by-themselves, they do not want to listen to others

Yeah Ive noticed the hype on this project almost all of the projects related to their network are starting to pump and gain massively. I just wished I had some of those tokens too. They just appeared at the right moment but actually have intercepted and developed ideas that already existed and were implemented in other projects. There are many examples of good technologies that died because they came before their time. But after a while, they were picked up by others and still exist.

It is a key skill for any businessman to see the opportunities and realize them at the right time. The Polkadot team has this skill and that is why they will be on top very soon.

Polkadot team is made from members of Ethereum foundation, lead by Gavin, which is very good from my point of view, and momentum for release of their platform is great, since ETH2.0 is late and they could pick-up maximum attention at the moment

Wow thats cool a new cryptocurrency that was made into top 10 sounds interesting, I never knew about PolkaDot before and I only aware that DOT tokens exist in the market from my Imtoken wallet 2.0 notification about its new Dot token in circulation and the Imtoken wallet was supported it. But when I read this thread I was amazed because it was priced above $6 and listed in the top and well-known cryptocurrency exchanges what was special about the Polkadot platform I think its better to do a little research about it to know more.

So much hype about polkadot, that i just had to buy some. Luckily it's only around $4 (at the time of my purchase) but has pumped since.
It's relativly cheap considering it might do as good as ETH or even better. So stock up

I think that The coinmarketcap rating will change in the near future. Now there are a lot of projects that cover all aspects of decentralized finance and the development of which is a HYIP. Many of these DeFi are already in the top 100 of the Coinmarketcap ranking, and some of them are already in the TOP 10.
