Ripple the next bitcoin?

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?

Bitcoin =  decentralized

SO ripple can never become a bitcoin in terms of usage and if you are talking about the price, you will know how much the ripple is going to worth at the end of next market cycle.I expect it would goes to zero.

That's wearied to say xrp is the next bitcoin. I believe in Bitcoin its does not mean I did not saw any future on others alts but you have to compare with some fact. Where xrp have huge supply and this makes worse for xrp in terms of price increase. Btc is king of cryptocurrencies and no one can replace them. Even if considerd xrp is a shit coin. I don't think so it can cross 1 dollars... Even if its cross 1 dollars somehow in near future its only give you 3x. Which is very low return when you talking about crypto.

That's right mate, it would be very funny if someone said XRP was the next Bitcoin, even though it was very clear that in terms of supply, development, and categories they were very different even though they were both in the crypto space, so it would be very funny if someone said "Ripple the next bitcoin ".

Its gonna be far from that if ever ripple going to 10$ it means it already surpass bitcoin market cap. Ripple ath as far as I can remember is less than 5$. I like ripple low fee and fast transaction but I am more confident with the bitcoin security.

If you look at the decentralized nature of crypto, then ripple wouldn't be the next bitcoin as it is centralized. Its supporters are mostly financial institutions who adopts centralization scheme. But I think because of this nature will ripple gain more supporters consequently adding to its value and its price in the market.

Ripple or XRP is really making a huge improvement and it is the second largest virtual currency after Bitcoin, just before Ethereum. to compete with bitcoin is something that is not possible for several reasons including the supply of XRP itself
this is my opinion that one day Bitcoin can be replaced but not by XRP for reasons of high transaction fees, slow transaction speeds and many other aspects
For XRP, from a source that I read at https://walletinvestor.com/forecast/xrp-prediction it is possible that XRP will not touch more than 10 $ in a relatively fast time but it does not rule out the possibility that in the long term it can touch the price of 10 $

It is far away for ripple to be the next bitcoin because, as the other coins, ripple stays behind bitcoin and always follows where bitcoin moves.
But ripple can increase higher as what we saw in the last few years, but still, ripple can't overtake bitcoin at the first position in the crypto market.
I think ripple can compete with the other coins, and not bitcoin.
I will be happy to see ripple can back to $1 because I can make a profit like before.
But ripple will need more time to break $1, and that will only happen in the next bull run. While now, ripple can increase step by step while waiting for the bull run comes.

Bitcoin is not Bitcoin because of its price. So even if Ripple will be able to reach that 10$ which is certainly impossible, it will not become the next Bitcoin.

There will always be one and only Bitcoin. Ripple, whatever happens to it in the next months, years, and decades will stay an altcoin and only an altcoin. And any altcoin will not become the next Bitcoin ever.

That’s why its too impossible for XRP to become the next bitcoin because bitcoin is the top of all. If we see bitcoin goes down below XRP, then that is the time for XRP to takes over but that coin must defeat ETH first. Ripple has the advantage in the payment sector because the transaction fee is cheap and they are fast. But beating bitcoin? Hard to reach that level. But I am not against of exploring their business in the payment sector as we need a relatively cheap and fast transactions and right now btc and eth are expensive on that terms.

i think no altcoins that can pass the bitcoin for now or in the near future. prediction is just a prediction, it just have a 0.1% chance to become a reality. XRP is a good altcoins. but i think it won't pass ETH first. even if they launch xrapid, i'm sure its price still won't reach $3.

Firstly, XRP can be the next bitcoin because XRP was giving birth through centralization while bitcoin was giving birth to through decentralization and despite XRP seen strong in the few days as you claimed all the crypto created this year perform beautifully in the market than XRP.
XRP dont the attribute of investors making profit but the board making profit.
