Sto drinking the Kool-aid. Ripple is the bastard child and the traitor of cryptocurrency. It was born out of opportunism of its founders to get rich. A centralized issuance, huge pre-mine in the name of Ripple foundation and its ridiculous wannabe tactics of cozying up to the banks are just some of the issues with it.
Ripple poses as a replacement to Swift by using its own token for transfers. This will never happen. The banks will come up with their own centralized coin than dole out their money to Ripple founders.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?
$10 sounds excessive. We did have $3 a few years back at the height of the 2017 / early 2018 frenzy... but the price fell back quickly. I do believe in the long-term potential of the coin, and they are one of the leaders in terms of integration with the real world. But I don't think this has anything to do with the launch of xRapid, which has been live for a couple of years now. I'm not sure about it being 'the next bitcoin' either, as the use case is entirely different. We do also (still) have the court cases with Ripple, which is probably depressing the price. Long term though, yes, if they can get through the legal stuff then the future looks promising. I just don't know about $10. |

It's true that Ripple is great for investing, and it also has cheap and fast transaction fees. Ripple is also high volume and also popular.
But that doesn't mean Ripple can be the next Bitcoin, because Ripple is a centralized coin, it is very different from Bitcoin which is fully
decentralized. Actually there have been many coins that have tried to replace Bitcoin, but until now nothing has been successful.

If there is a new project present and can rival bitcoin then it is very difficult for us to accept because before bitcoin is also pricey and it takes time to rise to the current figure, but if ripple is a lot of interest and we can count on it will not be impossible to compete bitcoin and then we will just see the development of ripple and we hope it can be as we expect.

anything can happen, even if ripple can reach $ 10 it could also happen. but not for now and 5 years from now. I think etherum is still stronger as the next bitcoin with a higher price and market cap than Ripple. maybe because of the development and also the companies that support ripple, it could be a sign that ripple is likely to rise high. but I don't think so in the near future.

Ripple’s big bet is that XRP will become a “bridge currency” that many financial institutions use to settle cross-border payments faster and more cheaply than they do now using global payment networks, which can be slow and involve multiple middlemen.

XRP is the centralized coin while bitcoin is decentralized. This is the biggest difference between the two. Ripple was introduced to be used in the banking sector but it has never been used widely in the finial institutions. Although banking sector still support XRP over bitcoin but i don't think it can surpass bitcoin. |

Ripple serves as my alternative way of cashing out on exchanges because of less fees. Nonetheless, it will never be the next bitcoin and no one will be because it's the roots of all crypto and the king that most invested and most popular of all.

Ripple is a very strong coin and it has a great blockchain but we can't compare ripple with the monster, Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is Bitcoin. No coin can hold the crypto market like bitcoin did. Hence, we can see a huge growth in ripple coin in future. |

It is not that easy to take over the position of bitcoin, it is very difficult, bitcoin is very dominant in the market cap, although currently there is no effect of the ups and downs of bitcoin on ALTCOIN

To my knowledge, Riplle has its own advantages mainly due to its focus on the financial system. many large companies use Riplle as a financial system. whereas BTC is the top crypto with real use cases, BTC is a real as well as profitable investment. XRP and BTC are very different.

But I think the ripple price could hit 10 USD because 2 years ago it was hit over 3 USD. |

Ripple will never qualify to be the next Bitcoin when we have a lot of projects that are scalable and decentralized. Ripple is over-hyped from the beginning and that has shown in its price for over 2 years. Many projects are underway that will overtake Ripple in no time. Only time will tell

Ripple is one of the best and top ranked cryptos without any doubt and it is considered as one of the best crypto to invest with but if you will compare it with bitcoin, I can strongly say and in my own opinion ripple cannot be next bitcoin.
