Ripple the next bitcoin?

It’s impossible that Ripple can replace Bitcoin.  The number one crypto asset is Bitcoin, which is a digital currency that is more decentralized than XRP in terms of ownership.
While they do not design XRP as a currency, they design XRP as a payment settlement for banks by Ripple Labs.

XRP is centralized, so if it will replace bitcoin, this entire crypto space will follow the centralized system which destroys the main purpose why crypto was created. XRP had some good run, it was ranked 2nd last 2018 if my memory still serves me right but ETH did overtake in 2019, so if there is a competition, probably among ETH and XRP only, let's leave bitcoin behind.

Why should Riplle be the next bitcoin reason? Isn't there another option like Ethereum or Binance? I think Ethereum is much better than Ripple, besides that it is also Ethereum in 2nd position in the crypto market. but whatever it is in my opinion there is no next bitcoin, bitcoin is bitcoin and will always dominate the cryptoqurrency market.

true, until whenever bitcoin will still be an idol for crypto and I also question what is the opinion that Ripple will be the best coin and can replace bitcoin.
when Ripple has passed and the possibility to revive it will be difficult even if it's just to replace ethereum, so don't get your hopes up with Ripple. But for investment Ripple is still a good one.

I don't think it's possible, Ripple will not take over ethereum's position or price itself. . yes, if I'm not mistaken in 2019 Ripple seems to be doing well because it can replace ETH's position in the market, but it also doesn't last long. ETH has a strong community, a great team, and market demand is increasing every day. So, I don't think Riplle is the next Bitcoin.

I haven't seen any good move since Ripple 2018. news comes but XRP is not a movement. I hold XRP. my bad luck.

In general, Ripple is a good and good token, but in particular Ripple is no match for Bitcoin because so far no token has been able to move Bitcoin to the bottom of the rankings, so even though Ripple doesn't have a good move like other tokens on the market, it does not. still in a good category as a token.

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?

Until now, not a single coin has become the next bitcoin. especially if it's XRP! i am not sure about that coin. if there is maybe like Eth which is closest to BTC in the market, but whatever it is bitcoin cannot be compared by any coin as well as vice versa.

Ripple is strongly criticized for being centralized. With the concept of blockchain, there are two types of ecosystem 1/ Centralised and decentralized. The xrp is the later one and no doubt it is doing well.  I hardly doubt if it is close to even bitcoin in nature.

of course Ripple will never beat bitcoin because both of them have very different platforms and in addition, the supply that these two platforms have is very different, ripple is more suitable if it is used as an alternative payment that might be used for interbank transfer transactions.

Ripple is a good blockchain but it will never be the next Bitcoin. Lots of Bitcoin investors became rich already while Ripple still below 1$. Investors of Ripple need to wait for a little bit longer before it will be like the success of Bitcoin investors, but still, Ripple will never be the next Bitcoin.

I think there is no any of the crypto could overwhelm the spot of BTC, even ETH cant, also XRP. Bitcoin and Ripple is that the Bitcoin is decentralized and that implies nobody has power over it and then again Ripple is totally brought together which implies it has under specialists control.

Actually the comparison is wrong one.Ripple is good team and good project.But it's not that much worth to compare with bitcoin.If you had mentioned ethereum as a next bitcoin,I may accept it.But Ripple totally making the people mad.Many people losing their hope on Ripple.Only way for the marketing team is,increase the price of Ripple to increase the investors.

Ripple promoters are multi-billionaires, so your statement is not entirely true. Unlike the case with Bitcoin, almost all of the Ripple circulating supply was pre-mined. The promoters profited out from this, when they sold their coins. And despite selling a lot of their holdings, a handful of promoters still hold almost 80% of all the XRP (either directly, or indirectly).

In my opinion, bitcoin will not be replaced forever, because every altcoin price movement follows bitcoin price movements, if someone says Ripple will replace bitcoin, it's just an opinion without a clear prediction

One thing i can tell is that Ripple will not be the most used coin if you are here because of the decentralized market. Do you really think that people will be having a huge interest on a centralized coin which is highly unlikely. At the end of the day if there is any coin to replace bitcoin it will be a fork with a much better scaling solution and that is the only hypothetical theory i that regard.

No one predicts the future and no one knows what altcoin is the next bitcoin, we didnt say ripple, ethereum and the like. Even the last altcoin or shitcoin on coinmarketcap have the possibility  to surpass bitcoin. It depends on crypto people of this world on what they choose or pick for hold. I think its all about adaptation. But for now, no one can deny the fact that bitcoin is still the king.

Taking over bitcoin? that's impossible and reaching $10? that's also impossible. Ripple can't even reach $1 and it's been years that ripple still below in $1. I don't think if there is hope to increase the price even they have a new project to launch.

I also didn't find anything that gave Ripple the potential to take over Bitcoin. I think it's just a way to raise prices and only spread the good news from ripple.

I don't think so. Fundamentally they are very different from each other. Bitcoin is fully decentralised and its run by all the people over the globe. and in the market bitcoin is the biggest coin available it had a huge market cap which is almost 59-60% of the whole market. In other hand ripple is also a good coin. But in the community many people don't like it because it's a centralised token backed by banks and and many institutional investors. But still it's a big coin but not as big as bitcoin. That's it .

It's strange to me that so little attention is paid to Ripple on this forum. This coin has truly one of the best scalability and transaction speed. I really like to send money between exchanges in this particular currency. The money is received very quickly, and the exchange commissions for the withdrawal of this coin are minimal. It is for the purposes of transactions that this coin is best suited.
