The Gunners started the new campaign with a win that we all know was going to happen against a weak side Wolves who haven't been impressive in anyway since last season they started selling their best players and now they don't even have any idea if that can keep their place in the EPL but it was a good win for Arsenal. From the movement of the game and all the combinations we saw between Saka and Kai Havertz I still don't think the Gunners have been different when it comes to getting goals, they haven't changed a bit but their energy to get a win has improved.
The Gunners have gotten their share of getting the 3pts just like every other clubs who won their game starting from Man UTD on the opening day. Manchester City going head to head against Chelsea, can the Citizens still be the headache for the Gunners this season, because to me I don't feel that positivity in that City side, fine they haven't played yet but it seems like it would be a rough campaign for City and I don't know if Arsenal are going to make the season a living hell for Manchester City but something is kinda off with City to me. Against Chelsea today can't say it all because I believe City won't be as many expected and without City on the path of Arsenal winning the league which other team comes close in stopping Arsenal from winning the league title this very season 🤔?
We all expected a strong start from Arsenal, them getting so close the last two seasons, and then having a pretty decent preseason this time around. They also have long injury returns, amazing new players. All in all, Arsenal means serious business, and I'd say their missing out the title in earlier seasons were mostly unlucky, and some very tough days in the run in period.
But to decide who will be winning the league is like trying to bet on a horse race without any knowledge. Arsenal does have all that it takes, but can they win? Maybe we find that out in 3-4 months time, seeing their grit, passion, and mentality. But right now a lot of teams do look strong. We will be looking forward to the City - Chelsea game, which will tell us a lot about how the top investors in the league, and how they are faring. City... always looks a bit shaky. But they get their strong forward before you even notice. Definition of Consistency is Man City.
They did well no doubt but in the case of the pre-season games I noticed since Arteta took over they haven't failed in any way in the pre-season games and that I'll applaud the manager for making the team to be completely ready with a new mindset of always winning even till the season begins and seeing every game as an important game is also a factor to consider because you don't know which game will be the crucial game to give them the trophy. These time around I don't feel the Gunners should base on luck, this is the time to showcase what they have to the give to the fans and other teams and much seriousness is needed in the team especially the attacking department, those guys up front should make sure any chance they have find the back of the net.
I agree with you about not saying anything about the club to win the league title and I can say in less than 2 months we'd see some of the clubs taking their rightful positions, we know how tough the EPL is especially when fatigue comes up.
With the Super Sunday game between Manchester City vs Chelsea, it will be a relief for the Blues to get past Manchester City today, like they'll feel like a bigger burden has been taken from them (that's playing one of the strongest) and it would be much better if they manage to get a win. At this point I don't feel some of the clubs are ready to allow City demolish them again like it happened last season, but this game would be a game to watch.
