Arsenal face two games in October at home against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.  Arsenal's appearance in these two matches will be an illustration of whether or not they can maintain a strong start to the season as it is today.  But many people are pessimistic about Arsenal, because they have lost against Manchester United.

You shouldnt be comparing that actually because its totally going to be different. Arsenal lost because Manchester United countered their strategy and the both Tottenham and Liverpool could be playing way different compared to Manchester United. Aside of that, I dont think that Arsenal would lose to Liverpool given how far better Arsenal this season are compared to Liverpool ( on few early games )

Chelsea sack their managers all the time, they have one of the biggest turnovers of managers in the league. Sacking Tuchel was a joke tbh, after winning the CL he should have been given more time. I notice many of their fans on social media being disappointed about how he was treated.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Potter was sacked before the end of the season, especially if he doesn’t get top 4.

This is a harsh approach on the part of management, but in modern conditions it is justified. Nobody can wait for a new Alex Ferguson and building a team from scratch in a few years. A modern coach has a planning horizon of one season - if he failed it, then no one will take risks and give him a chance to fail the second season. This is quite reasonable given the amount of money at stake.

I'm not so sure about Arsenal, they're an experienced team who can be pretty good for a while and then go downhill quickly as the season draws to a close. Beating top teams is Arsenal's problem so far, they can't be favorites in big match because Arsenal often lose.

There are plenty of facts about my assumption, so I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal would drop out of the top 4 before the Premier League goes into matchday 20. Anything can happen this season, but for me Arsenal are nothing more than an experienced team who seem less interested in winning titles than business.

This season must be proven by Arsenal that various ridicule from rival club fans to the Gunners is not true. I think the taunts that are being leveled at Arsenal are based on the reality on the pitch.
I heard sentences from several friends who had different support saying that Arsenal were the only team that was able to lift the FA trophy. Their trophy cabinet could not withstand the weight of the Champions League trophy.
There are also those who say that Arsenal has a big appetite but lacks energy because in the end it is not able to maintain what has been obtained.

The ridicule or whatever comes from the outside shouldn't have any effect on Arsenal. So far Arsenal are too difficult to win the Premier League and Champions League titles, that is an undeniable fact. But when the team's performance is very good, then there is a glimmer of hope for Arsenal to fight for it at the end.
Arsenal were able to win 6 of 7 matches not without reason or some kind of luck, it was the result of hard work on the players and the improvement of the team's performance. I think these young Arsenal players need to be given a lot of support where sometimes their mentality is not very good against top teams like Manchester City, Liverpool or Chelsea. These have been some of the things that might be Arsenal's weak point, that should be changed.

I think Arsenal fans are also surprised by Arsenal's position at the top of the points table. However, I agree with you that Arsenal's aim is not to win the title, they will be happy to qualify for the Champions League from the top four in the points table. Arsenal's performances against Liverpool and Tottenham in the coming months will determine whether Arsenal is worthy of a place at the top of the points table. They did not win against Manchester United. Besides, the teams they have won against are all relatively weak. I think Arsenal will drop points against Tottenham and Liverpool. Defeat against Tottenham and they will be able to share the points with Liverpool.

Manchester City are in a good position to win the league, they are sitting 2nd with just a point difference but we shouldn't give them the trophy just yet, Tottenham are also sitting third with few points different so its still an open competition at this stage and you can say any team will finish top because it is unsure at this point which team will keep up and stay consistent till the end so let's not be in a rush to declare one side as the favorites to win the league.

In the last 5 years Manchester City have won the PL-Titel 4 times and they will do so in the coming year. A bigger success would be to win the Champions League and Pep Guardiola won that trophy 11 years ago with Barcelona, so it's time for a win with City. City's health department must be strong, there are few injuries. They need that to win the Premier League and CL.

Actually when reflecting on the Arsenal match against you some time ago they were too confident with their squad especially with your poor condition that made them a little on the wind which made them focus on the attack because they knew your condition at that time with their maguire was not too good But MU is good at dueting Martinez and Varane who are in the first time quite good.
Now it will be different because they realize that Tottenham is not as simple as imagined by their current performance.

I think it shouldn't affect it because the taunts will surely ignore it and the players won't be able to see this ridicule, they will focus more on their hard work to keep fighting for the dream of winning the Premier League even though many say this is too difficult to deny , indeed we see the other opponents are too difficult but the hard work of coach Artetap makes the players more confident mentally.

I think given a lot of support it is certain that Arsenal are more confident about winning 6/7 but the one thing that can make a difference and can survive is Arteta how he can convince players not to be a weak point against Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea or Tottenham.

The main thing is that if Arsenal are able to beat Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham then they deserve to maintain first position in the standings. So I'm looking forward to that match.

Arsenal have been really performing good and creating goal scoring chances this season. They’ve played few good defensive teams but I’m sure they’ll commit Tottenham’s defense. Arsenal’s weakness is the midfield. Now there first choice midfielder Thomas Partey is back in the team. Just having Partey on the pitch changes the way Arsenal play. The build is so crisp and there's more confidence playing for the other players to go forward causing havoc.

I disagree. I think Arsenal midfield is strong and which is why we are creating so much pressure. The reason why Arsenal lost against United was because they are playing very high line and Arteta has given license to lot of players to go up ahead and create pressure on other side of the pitch for example Xhaka and counter-attacks are answer to high line so I think that is why we lost the game against United as we didn't have any counter strategy in case we got caught at counters. We slightly undermined United in that game. Arsenal is perfect in every department, just needs to avoid some mistakes and need some good strategies in case we are caught out and that's it.

If they can win the possession, Tottenham will have little or no chance to counter.

Believe me possession doesn't means much. City maintains lot of possession and yet they have been caught on counters. Even if they have one counter and score goal in that attacking drive, the possession means nothing. At the end they will be going with 3 points mocking us with the possession they maintained throughout.

Well ^that reminds me of the game of Spurs against City when Spurs parked the bus and won the match and Mourinho when asked about it came with savage reply. He said -  "They can take the ball with them at home if they want, I take the 3 points ..."

I saw from the 6 wins that Arsenal it was the team that was under him for this season but that doesn't mean a lucky win I think Arsenal took the opportunity where when the quality of the players was better Arsenal always won and this we see that the victory means a lot the players have worked hard.

Leicester is now a bad team even with 1 point from 7 matches, that's a bad sign, I think it was Fulham who never expected it because currently, Fulham is above the team mentioned in its standings.

Yes, that's what I would like to get from the assumption of some people because it seems Arsenal have become an amazing team to talk about so far instead of the most frequent title winners in the last 5 seasons. Lol

Arsenal's win wasn't luck, I'm sure of it, but it's just a lower quality team than Arsenal and Arsenal should have used it to win. Luckily, they did well without any mistakes.

I personally think Arsenal has no ability to win the title. Arsenal may be playing well now. But their squad is of average quality.

They can win Premier League title if their competitor is not Manchester City. City are very strong and Arsenal are still lack of stability in performance in a long season to beat City. Quality of Arsenal players is worse than City players and if we consider the quality of alternative players, differences between Arsenal and Manchester City would be considerable bigger.

You are right. If Arsenal's opponent was a strong team like Manchester City, then maybe Arsenal would have a chance to win the title. It is not possible for Arsenal to win the title by defeating a strong and consistent team like Manchester City. In fact, Arsenal's squad is not strong enough. Arsenal's squad lacks star players.

This season they played 7 matches, in these 7 matches the strongest team they face was Manchester United. Manchester United is also in a very weak form. However, Arsenal lost this match. And so it is easy to predict that Arsenal will drop points when they face Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, or Chelsea.

It is problem with Arsenal. When people expect Arsenal a lot, Arsenal lost their best performance and lost matches. However, their biggest issue is they often lose more points to average clubs, not to top clubs.

If Arsenal had spent enough money to build their squad and was able to bring in some star players then maybe we would have expected a consistent performance from Arsenal. Arsenal fans expect better performance from Arsenal. But Arsenal management is reluctant to spend too much money to add star players to the squad.

But if Arsenal can perform well against strong teams and get full points then they have a chance to win the title. But its possibility is very less.

We see since the past season, Arsenal have improvements in results when facing with top clubs and I think they will continue it in this season.

If the target is to win the title then the points must be scored in the matches against strong and renowned teams. If they fail to get points against strong teams, Arsenal will undoubtedly fail to win the title. They have already dropped points against Manchester United

Actually, if you look at the condition of the team against Arsenal, it is a team that is below them but even so there are some names that did provide some surprises such as Fulham who managed to hold City and of course Brentford with an absolute victory against Manchester United.
Arsenal could be said to have won this match but on the other hand things like that obviously shouldn't stop the fact that they are now playing well.

Amazingly Soon came in from the reserves and made Hatrick.  Losing first, they were able to take a 2-1 lead but after a very clear lead Tottenham seemed to weaken the attack. They came under pressure from Liecester and even their performance was a bit poor, even Liecester managed to make a goal. Luckily Conte was smart he replaced several players and included Soon even though in the previous game he had not performed very well. But Soon responded by making those three goals great. It seems that Conte must immediately give Soon to play more in order for him to return to the best form.

Arsenal are going to have their second biggest match against Tottenham next week. Their match against Manchester United didn't end well for them. This time they are playing in Emirates which they could use as an advantage. Tottenham are not so different than them these days. Especially after that huge win against Leicester their morale has increased very much.

It is really hard to choose a side to win here but Arsenal are technically the closer one. They need to prove themselves by winning in big matches also. If they continue to lose points in this kind of matches then it is very difficult for them to be a part of the title race.

A critical and difficult match will not be easy for either team. Tottenham also started this year very well and we can say that both teams have a chance to win in this match. For many, Arsenal is the favorite team in this match, but they will not win this match easily and maybe even the match will end in a draw. I wouldn't be surprised if we see such a result. Tottenham could lead the league if they win, Manchester City will face a very strong opponent

Arsenal haven't had very tough opponents except Manchester United so far. It was easier for them to win this many games because of that. But I wouldn't like to disregard their team performance of course. They have had a reliable performance generally. The win against Brentford was also very satisfying. It wasn't easy to beat Brentford away normally but Arsenal showed it very easy.

The Tottenham game is another big test for Arsenal. This time I don't expect a similar game to the one against Manchester United. Arsenal should be much more effective in attacking and they can win this too. But it isn't going to be easy at all. I expect a very competitive game at the same time as Tottenham are also very dangerous recently.

Arsenal didn't play vs most of the top teams but as you mentioned they are doing good. I am waiting for their game vs City in particular in October but it was postponed.. They still have to face Spurs and Liverpool. Ironically I see they have better odds vs Spurs and slightly less than Liverpool

Liverpool will face Brighton in the 9th week of the Premier League, this is not an easy match for them given the current situation. Moreover, Brighton has a pretty good record to date. Brighton's defense is a job for Liverpool to break through.
Indeed, so far there is no club that is really strong so it is difficult to penetrate the defense they have built. But can Liverpool be said to be strong now? I thought not. Because they still have unresolved problems. They still have problems defending and also their offensive sector is not productive enough compared to the others.

Arsenal will face tough challenges for two games, first Tottenham Hotspurs second is Liverpool, if Arsenal can't win from both of course it loses points and other teams will overtake it especially if Manchester City win it will be firmly top of the standings for Pep Guardiola's Club that, Arteta's test is actually how much he can conquer big teams because Arsenal are always rumored and will be consistent with their wins even though we don't know but what is certain is that working hard is certain, setting a strategy is a must, trying to motivate players is really needed to stay unite how that cohesiveness can beat the big teams that will be faced.

Arsenal have a really tough schedule now. First playing against Tottenham and after that playing against Liverpool will be really challenging for them. They will test themselves in two big matches in two weeks. They are at least lucky to play both of them in Emirates. But this still doesn't change the fact that both of them will be very difficult for them.

Tottenham are already in a very good shape these days. Liverpool are also in a recovery phase now and they can get better until their match. If Arsenal finish these matches with at least 4 points then it would still be very advantageous for them. But collecting less points wouldn't be a good sign about the rest of their big matches. This is important for maintaining their title chance too of course.

Arsenal are in very good shape but if we are objective they have indeed not had the strongest opponents. The question is how they will measure themselves with the top of England. Tottenham Hotspurs are just below the English top but it is a good test for Arsenal. Arsenal stands out mainly by losing few points against lower teams. They also put in a good performance last year but have become hit and miss in the middle of the season. I think the goal for Arsenal should be top 3. Championship seems impossible in principle.
