I didn't watch the whole game, merely saw highlight of the goals and the final score, but generally this season Tottenham this season has always been the team to struggle to win games. They have mostly been coming from behind to equalize and steal three points with late goals, but they cannot be lucky every time. TBH i don't think Spurs are going to be competitors in the EPL or CL with Antonio Conte as their manager, it isn't working between him and the players, and i am pretty sure it boils down to his coaching philosophies which i don't really admire to say the least. Spurs spend a good amount of money on transfers every season, but yet they cannot compete consistently for the title. Imo, they need a new manager that would suit the team, a manager that is more open to attacking football and fluidity, because they have the quality of players to play as open as they like.

Having said that, Spurs are 5th on the table right now, with Liverpool breathing down their necks in 6th place, and with a game in hand too, i think it is only a matter of time before Conte's men find themselves far away from the top 4.

Quite surprising that Conte's men going down easily against Villa today but honestly they are having some injuries so maybe that is affecting their gameplay?  But still despite that they have world class players and they atleast should be able to make some pressure and score some goals but didn't saw anything strong from Spurs at all. Honestly it's seem things are taken turn for the worst as far as Tottenham performance in the league is concerned they won only two out of their last seven matches, there woeful performances started before the World Cup break this is indeed a bad performance and absolutely putting on more pressure on Conte's job, with the look of things Tottenham stand no chance of UCL spot next season because of the improved performances of clubs like Arsenal, Man Utd, Newcastle and Liverpool respectively, it's obvious Tottenham is not likely going to win any trophy again this season, meanwhile kudos to Emery for a making gradual turnaround of Aston Villa since his appointment.
