I don't believe Chelsea will be able to hold Manchester city for this long, I was expecting goal from Manchester city right from the first half, Chelsea is playing more of a defensive game, which Manchester city haven't being able to break, Chelsea's performance in the first half is not really bad, if they can countinue like this, it will be very difficult for Manchester city to score them, seriously the second half of the match will be very tough and interesting, I just hope the match won't end as draw from the way the two clubs are playing.

The final result is 0-1 in which Man City won the match. I was actually a bit surprised that Man City was quite struggling to penetrate Chelsea's back line. Chelsea seems to be playing defensively and maybe their target is at least a draw. But the end result was that they lost to Man City. As expected that Man City will win. But I think they will score more than 1 goal. But seeing how Chelsea tried to withstand Man City's attack, this should be appreciated even though they lost in the end. This time, Chelsea have not been able to add any more points and playing conditions have worsened.

The match was over, and in the end manchester city managed to secure 3 points today. They did well the whole game, but Chelsea are the same. It's just that Chelsea failed to capitalize on some good chances to score, it's looking bad for them who have only won 7 games out of 17 so far. Somehow in the end, Chelsea still have to get up and try their best because they are one of the teams that are expected to be able to compete at the top.

Today Sterling and Pulisic had problems, they looked like they had to go off injured and couldn't continue. Really it was a loss for Chelsea but the substitutes were impressive.

Chelsea lost the game because from all indications they are not going to score again as the time is almost over and the final whistle will be blown. The scoreline is 0:1 in favour of Manchester City and with the defeat, Chelsea will be in the 10th position their coach will face the risk of being sacked from the club because things are not getting better since his arrival as the new Chelsea boss.

Big congratulations to City and Riyad Mahrez for helping his team to defeat Chelsea tonight keeping their title hope alive because they are still chasing Arsenal even as they are 5 points behind them after this win.

but there is something very interesting about Chelsea's current game. namely Chelsea's defense is currently very solid. although Manchester city carried out more attacks, there were not many opportunities that could be obtained by Manchester city. Manchester City looked very difficult to penetrate the Chelsea defense. and in fact Chelsea's counterattack has endangered Manchester City's goal several times. You're right, finally Manchester City scored the first goal Riyad mahrez came on as a substitute in the 60th minute and he scored 3 minutes later he is really lucky
Finally Manchester City is getting closer to Arsenal only 5 points difference meaning Man city needs 2 more wins and hopes Arsenal lose 2 matches  
BTW Manchester City still have 2 important games ahead, against Manchester United in mid month then against Tottenham on 20 january both are important matches. Obviously January will drain their stamina because almost all important matches are played this month if Man City can get through then they still have a chance for the title.

I didn't beleive Chelsea had what it takes to win or even equalise Manchester city. Chelsea is a good team for sure but at this point in the EPL, they are not such a good team and teams like Manchester City could actually hope to meet them, play against them and win like they did today. A good time for them to win as well, following the Arsenal draw against Newcastle United from the day before. Where the more competition would be at in the league now is between Newcastle United, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Perhaps its more about Manchester United and Newcastle United than it would be for Spurs but, I hope they pick up the pace soon.

They lack of the execution to score goals but I was kinda expecting Manchester City to have it way easier against Chelsea but it turned out the a good match between these two

What a match it was! Chelsea is unlucky today. They had the most chances but couldn't convert them into goals. They look sharp on the field and what they show us is classic English football but lucky for Man City. Though I am a Man City fan, I feel bad for Chelsea and their fans. Manchester City just managed to score one goal from a cross, and Mahrez put the ball into the back of the net.

City played their usual game but after halftime City managed to attack Chelsea more often, they try to control the ball and attack. So city gets the full three points from this match and reduces the distance from Arsenal. 8 point less from Arsenal with one less game played, they just need to maintain that distance and hope Arsenal draw a couple of games more  .

It looks like Eddie Nketiah still needs stronger chemistry and bonds between players, he performed quite well in his two matches with The Gunners. unfortunately, Nketiah was unable to take advantage of the opportunities he had to convert them into goals during the Newcastle match. I'm pretty sure, Nketiah can be relied on on the front lines of The Gunners in the future. at least, Nketiah still needs time to become a sharp sticker.

Even so, Arsenal should have been able to overthrow Newcastle in yesterday's match, it's a shame they missed so many opportunities. but after all, Arsenal played full of high confidence and their mentality is getting more solid. Next, Arsenal will have an away game at the Spurs headquarters. I remain optimistic that the Gunners' young squad will continue their positive trend to widen the gap between the points with Manchester City.

on the other hand, I hope Mudryk will be brought in by Emirates Stadium soon.

Eddie Nketiah is still very young and has more time to improve. He has shown little glimpse of what he can do and how well he can step in as a backup to Gabriel Jesus which he has been impressive, scoring 2 goals in 3 games. He was a key figure in the game against Newcastle, Arsenal created many chances but couldn't find the chemistry in the final third to get a goal and secure a win in the game against Newcastle united. Hopefully he can still improve and do better.

I didn't think that Tottenham will perform so well in this match Crystal Palace vs Tottenham. I thought they might win the match with 2 goals. But Tottenham played so well with 4 goals that they won. Between these two teams, Crystal Palace and Tottenham, Tottenham team.  Very strong. Tottenham player H. Kane scored 2 goals alone in the match. H.  Kane played a fantastic game.

Tottenham had a good result, Conte will be expecting more like this from his team in each game, a comfortable and important win for Spurs. This result should build their confidence going into the next games. Crystal Palace on the other hand were poor and couldn't put up a good performance, could it be that the second half of the season isn't beneficial to Crystal Palace?

Man City up their game in the second half promptly got the well deserved goal by Mahrez, however Chelsea tried in the first half and we're unlucky to get the first goal through Chukwuemeka whose shot on goal hit the woodwork, l must commend the introduction of Gallagher, Hall and Hutchinson by Potter the trio did play aggressively and attack Man City unfortunately Hall could have gotten an equalizer but played off target, though I think Arrizabalaga could have done better to stop the cross that lead to Man City goal, today's win Man City had close the gap between them and Arsenal to five points with both team yet to play each other in their oustanding match.

I see some people who are saying that Manchester City dominated the first half. But there was no such thing truthfully.

Chelsea were beyond the expectations and they were a big threat to their opponent during the first half. There was even a shot hit the goal post and it was a really big goal opportunity for Chelsea. Chelsea were quite good at defending so far also. In the second half Manchester City need to improve their performance much more. There isn't a weak Chelsea in front of them now. They need to have the full control of the match somehow otherwise another point loss might be at their door.  

Chelsea's performance was not underrated, but it was an impressive one. The game was all level at that point, and we couldn't tell who would win the match. Mahrez scored the game-changing goal near the midpoint of the second half after being substituted into the game. The City's victory was secured by the supersubstitute.

Manchester City were able to defend their one goal until the end of the game, closing the point gap with Arsenal. After Arsenal's draw against Newcastle United, Manchester City will have even more motivation to fight for the league title. I'm not sure what will happen to Chelsea coach Graham Potter now that he's been warned and may be fired after losing this crucial match against Manchester City.

Just when I almost believed that Chelsea will share the points with Manchester City that Mahrez said no and got a goal as assisted by Grealish.
It was not an exciting one for me because I wanted Potter's job to be secured. Now he has no much confidence to approach the next match.
But if we will be honest, Chelsea did excellently well against City this night.

Mahrez's goalw as making city cuts the gap to the arsenal. It seems like we were able to see that how bad chelsea is. Chelsea is always performing so bad like the team can do nothing. Chelsea was losing again and again. It looks so horrible to see that the result from chelsea. I would not be surprised if potter will be got sacked again. It seems like that todd was thinking so hard about that. It's good city earned full points from this match

Chukuwuemeka who came on for Christian Pulisic had impact in the match as he was the only player with short in target for Chelsea in the first half. The combination of Zakaria and Kovacic was so solid that Manchester City had to go through the wings to open Chelsea up.
Chalobah should have been used for that right full back position, Azpilicueta seem dull and not ready fir that game.

Eight league games and Chelsea has just won just a single game, wow! Aubameyang doesn't seem welcome into potters side, I don't s we them crossing balls for him to score. Chelsea will regret sacking Thomas Tuchel especially in fixtures as this, Graham Potter is not the right person for Chelsea Management.

For a weekday, great match we've watched. Manchester City scored a single goal but they won away. Player changes gave good results. Mahrez scored 3 minutes after entering the game. Their game was still very losing even though in this match they lost by 1 goal, but they still couldn't improve their performance. Now they have been knocked down to 10th place in the standings what should they be happy about because this is a bad thing.
