This will be a tough match for Chelsea and Man City, and if we look at the performance of the two teams, most likely the match will end in a draw. The performance of the two teams is not doing well at the moment. Chelsea could only draw against Nottingham Forest, while Man City had never won in their last 2 matches. As the host, Chelsea definitely wants to be able to perform well in front of their supporters, but Man City is a very tough opponent, and I think Man City has a high motivation to chase Arsenal who also can only draw against Newcastle.

Chelsea v Manchester City would always be a tough encounter. No matter the form the two teams are on, it remains a heavyweight clash; i don't think this game is going to end in a draw, there would be a winner and most likely that winner is going to be Manchester City. City's last two EPL games was against Leeds United and Everton, of which they won the former and drew the latter, so it isn't quite correct that they (City) haven't won in their last two games. The 3 points is very important for both teams, City have to win to cut the gap on Arsenal to 5 points, whilst Chelsea needs the win to get close to the top four; it would be eagerly contested but i predict the winner to be the boys from the Etihad.

At the moment Chelsea is in the middle of the EPL standings and if you lose again you will be even further behind, playing at Stamford Bridge the opponent is still very tough while getting points will be very difficult for the hosts, in my prediction to take a bet on Manchester City I know it won't be easy for both of them but Manchester City will make this game even more valuable after the draw so Pep Guardiola will try with his squad whereas Potter will have more pressure on him.
It's hard to say who deserves it, but in essence Manchester City is still a lot of the favorites at best.

Today game will be a surprise game to those that predicted for the favour of Manchester city because, Chelsea will play this game with all their strength and energy to ensure they beat Manchester city 1:0. if Chelsea play this game well, there will be victory at the end of the game because, Manchester city are getting weak in the area of midfield which will be one of the advantage Chelsea players will use to beat Manchester city to reduce their points.

However Manchester City are still the favorites and also, Chelsea and Manchester City were previously held to draws by mediocre teams. So yes, I think their current situation is the same and it's just that their position in the Premier League standings is very different.
So it's only natural that Manchester City in this match are still the favorite team to win even though, of course, Chelsea will make a big effort because Chelsea is also playing at home.

Graham Potter, who is expected to improve Chelsea's performance so far, has not been able to show that he is capable of doing that. In the match against Manchester City later, for sure he will get the spotlight to be able to talk more and win this match. They still have unresolved issues, so I have little doubt victory will rest with them. Even if they could get points in this match, it seemed that 1 point would be enough for them.

I think your optimism is reasonable, but only if Manchester City drop more points and Arsenal always win. But I even believe the opposite more, Manchester City will return to lead the Premier League standings by taking advantage of Arsenal's mistakes in the next few matches.

City also haven't been their self this season. They also have lost a lot of points in easy fixtures this season so far so they can only close the gap if they don't give away points like they have in easy games in upcoming games. Today they have huge game against Chelsea, although Chelsea are struggling in this season but they are very much capable of surprising still. Possible that City might drop points today also.

I am worried for Chelsea because it is almost as if we already know how the game will end. Now that Kante and Reece are missing a bigger worry for them will be with dealing with superstar Erling Haaland.
If peradventure they lose today, Potter, Chelsea's manager should be ready to face a lot of backlashes from the fans on top of what the club is already going through. Well, I predict over 2.5 goals in this match.

Their game isn't trustworthy at all. Their performance against Leicester wasn't good enough for a win normally but they got really lucky there about making a comeback. But they weren't that much lucky against Brentford after that match. Brentford just destroyed them by a 3-1 result. There are still serious weaknesses and they are in need of a decent midfielder now. They had better be quick about making a midfielder transfer in this month. Otherwise the rest of the season can give them a headache. Even their top 4 chance would be even worse.

They are not in this alone, I wasn't expecting that defeat to Brentford in the first half but I got surprised by all that.

Manchester city considerably winner in tonight's game because Chelsea are very inconsistent in their premier league games. Blues are ranked 10th position on the league table with bad defeats records over the previous games, LLLWD and city not holding back, Pep definitely going to use this chance to close the gap between his rival, Mikel Arteta. Yes, that's right, the Liverpool midfielder can't do much. Klopp continued to rely on the same players for 5 seasons in a row, despite the midfield problems that were obvious to all.

It is very important for City to find good amount of goals and not to concede early in the game as well. City don't handle the game pressure very well and they tend to make mistakes at that point. We saw in last game against Everton how badly they handled pressure. I think today they have the opportunity to make things right for last game's drop of points and I think Pep will set a good game plan to handle things today in this heavy fixture.

Manchester City needs a win badly here to come close to Arsenal and i think that will probobly happen. Chelsea is still in bad form and that is why i think they will lose against Manchester City. For Chelsea this season is awful and they need to save it somehow.
