This is a difficult period for Chelsea, their ranking dropped, and 2 of their players (Sterling and Pulisic) were injured. the competition between manchester city and arsenal is running quite tough at the top of the standings. if only previously manchester city could win the game against everton maybe manchester city has less points difference with arsenal at this time, i think it takes a few more matches to get full points and overtake arsenal at the top standings

True, now Manchester City have again managed to approach Arsenal after winning the match against Chelsea. I think we need to consider something here because so many comments about how Chelsea played better than Manchester City and how Manchester City did not find it easy in the first half of the game have become more important than the 3 points of Manchester City. The match was played in front of Chelsea fans the motivation alone made them stronger in the first half before the Man City boss Pep Guardiola did his mathematics to change the game in the second half which brought in the goal that was assisted and scored by the two players that were introduced to the game in 60 minutes (Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez) the match winners.


In overall Manchester City were better then Chelsea in ball possession, 47:53, in shots on target 2:3, Chelsea only took control of the game for a few minutes in the first half but could not utilize the little opportunity they had to score goals because City defenders were at alert to stop the poor striking force of Chelsea strikers. Most fans only wanted Chelsea to come out victorious so that the Gunners can have more gap against City which you also talked about but I think City deserved the win so that the title race will still be on for the two teams.

I have never seen a team nor ever heard about it before where a team spends 200+ million during a summer, and the same season they are at 10th. Unless they have some changes and finally go on a huge winning streak and finish in at least top 6, which is bare minimum and only acceptable at this point because they already sucked, normally at least a top 4 would be fine, then they should consider this the worst season they ever had in their career. I can safely say that Manchester City have the best-built squad out of any other team in the Premier League, aside from Arsenal. They position themselves to be part of the title race this season with all the advantages they have. They returned to winning ways after being able to beat Chelsea by a narrow score after last week they were only able to achieve a draw. This proves that they are a strong team ready to reclaim the title.

None of us here would say that Manchester City doesn't have a great chance of retaining the Premier League title for the third straight time. meaning, City have players with above-average talent in each of their lines. Pep Guardiola's troop squad, has always been a strong candidate in winning the title from season to season. in fact, The Citizen is also the favorite as one of the strong challengers for the Champions League trophy.

especially now that Pep Guardiola has a project with Haaland, he is predicted to be a key player in realizing the club's dream of winning a trophy at the European competition level. On the other side, Manchester City also need to realize that there is Manchester United behind them which seems to be a team that just found their best performance after the international break + Ronaldo's departure.
It is obvious that consistency will be the main key of all teams, if they cant play consistently that make them lose some crucial points then they should be ready for the worst case (losing position in the standing).
Next match will be a crucial match for both Manchester teams as they have to fight against each other in order to gain 3 points and the result can be very important for the whole top places team.

Manchester City success make gap 5 points after beating Chelsea last night, Arsenal failed make more than 5 points gap with Manchester City after held draw by Newcastle United at last match. Due next match have FA Cup several teams will break their main player and use reserve playing with not priority competition. If Potter has found a suitable strategy and style of play to apply to the Chelsea team then there is a possibility that they will become a stronger team later, Potter is currently experimenting to find better chemistry between players because we know that Potter entered in the middle of the season after Tuchel was sacked so it was a challenge for him to develop the Chelsea team.
In that match, we have to admit that Chelsea played better than ManCity, but after conceding in the second half, Chelsea's performance declined.

With the current performance of the ManCity team, maybe they will have a little trouble beating Manchester United in the meeting later because Manchester United are currently in their best performance.
