It's seems that English teams are struggling in the UCL this year, 3 of them already lost and today man city is playing against liepzig without de bruyn, it will not be an easy match but o think man city will manage to score at least 2 goals in this match

Yep, this is different from usual because in the last 16 phase it seems that the EPL team is in a bad condition.
Manchester City is one that I regret, although indeed in this case maybe Pep already knew that he could take advantage of Leg 2 later but let this match become a draw and without making any changes from the first half to the end of the second half it's like not showing any intention to win and this is really bad for a club like Manchester City.

Even if they are confident at the Etihad but letting this game go to a draw actually I think it's a little too much when they should be capable of more than that.

One of the bad performance of the season, been Haaland in our squad without Debruyne is a problem, it always looks like they are having red card if he is included in the squad. In the second half the tempo of the game changed..so I think he was afraid if he made changes the fresh legs won't be able to be on the same speed with Leipzig players.

The absence of De Bruyne in the squad is indeed a very big scourge, even Haaland doesn't move at all because of the lack of supply of balls for him.
On the other hand, when they said they were afraid of their performance in the second half, they should have made changes when they talked about their worries.
He even calmly went into the second half without doing anything which is a bit uncharacteristic of Manchester City in my opinion.

Even though this result is still pretty good for them, a draw for them in the first leg clearly makes their condition a little different because with this, doubts will resurface.

That is indeed an interesting observation. There were probably some nice combination bets you could have made a lot of money with. For example, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, none of the teams will win their first game in the Champions League in the knockout stage.

That sounds like a tough call to me. Chelsea I didn't expect to win, but still even if only by chance the probability that none of those three win their game seems to  be pretty low.

If you look at the games individually, the only game that was really surprising was the game between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Chelsea and Manchester City will be fine, but the real deal will take place for Liverpool in their next Premier League game. There we will see whether they can deal with the situation mentally or not.

It shouldn't be a surprise to you because it is the reflection of their performance in the English Premier League. This is quite unfortunate because the EPL have always been a strong and competitive League but most top teams seems to be struggling. For this season apart from Arsenal and maybe Newcastle United other teams are just struggling to play up to expectation.
Manchester City might qualify for the next round of the Champions League because they played very well against Leipzig and got a draw. But I doubt the abilities of Chelsea and Liverpool to overtime their losses and qualify for the quarter finals. Both teams have been performing poorly in the EPL and they have been struggling to win matches against lowly rated side. Liverpool's team seems to have lost its attacking prowess after the sell of Mane, while Chelsea is struggling to blend it's harvest of top class stars and to cope with it's management change

Arsenal have to work a little harder to secure or move away from Man City, Arsenal we know are only 2 points away from Man City, seeing from the last 5 matches Arsenal have not been very consistent from their last 5 matches, they even lost to Man City a few weeks ago, which made them just 2 points apart from Man City, of course this will be Homework for Mikel Arteta, to build enthusiasm for Arsenal to win the League this season, it's not easy but Arsenal must be able to win the next game against Leicester, if no then Arsenal will be displaced by Man City for a while..

Arsenal could make it 5 points if they win the postponed match, but that is only a possibility that is not certain. Even if Manchester City were also held to draw by Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League, I think they will win at Bournemouth well this weekend. I wouldn't consider to draw and I don't think City lost either.

Arsenal need to focus on their defense because they have struggled with conceding goals. The last game they won they might have scored a lot of goals but I do not think they can keep getting away with the defending. The manager needs to decide if he wants entertaining football or if he wants to compete for the title against Manchester City if he wants to compete they cannot go all out attack like they have been doing because their defense is not good enough. They need to sit behind the ball and wait for counter attacking opportunities. They have players like Saka who are made for counter attacking and atm they are not playing to the strengths they have the best attack in the Premier League but their defense is what caused them to lose 3 of their games recently.

RB Leipzig defended better I think they were struggling with the pace that Manchester City were playing at in the 1st half but Manchester City could not keep up and their stamina showed. That is when RB Leipzig was allowed to get back in the game. When they got the goal for a draw they just defended and concentrated on getting the draw instead of pushing for a 2nd which I think was a good choice because Manchester City came alive again when RB scored the goal.

Manchester City have a easy couple of weeks before the 2nd leg so they should be rested and have some of their injured players back which will make the difference imo.

That is a big challenge by arteta to know what problem that was affecting the performance from arsenal at the end of season. Two points are not big gaps at this moment.

The problem with Arsenal they do not have the needed money to invest for players intended for backups because we only buy players that can fit into our 1st team and then we sell the players that no longer are 1st team but have too big contracts to play as a back up then as the season gets longer we start losing our 1st team players because of injuries and the teams that can afford to pay for back up options start going above us. I think Arsenal need to concentrate on their back up options instead of trying to buy 1 player that makes our 1st team better. If we get 2/3 players that play as a back up but does not drop the quality too much when they are playing I think we would have more success against Manchester City and Manchester United.

perhaps that is what many observers and fans think. especially in a draw condition, making substitutions to refresh the attack line, which should be able to benefit Man City.

I think that if you were watching press conference and guardiola already clarrified about why he was made such decision for not using his chance to substituting manchester city's player.

You say that Arsenal are a team that can absorb pressure which I agree with but then you say they cannot counter attack? They have 1 of the strongest attacks in the Premier League and they are leading every statistic this season in attack it is their defense that costs them games. If they sit back and absorb the pressure and counter attack they can still use the attacking prowess they have but they will not concede as many goals. They have conceded too many goals recently even in the 4-2 win they conceded 2 goals which they should have not and if they defended more they probably would have won that 3-0.

Manchester City are disliked because they are funded by immoral owners who have exploited the oil industry and ravaged countries that is why people do not like them. They have some of the best players in the world but they are not a team with a lot of history only in recent years they have appeared and that is because they were overtaken by their current owners who have invested billions in the team. Some people do not like the ethics of the owners but I think a lot of people are jealous of the investment that they get. I think they do spoil the Premier League because they have infinite money and are under investigation by the Premier League because they reported the wrong fiances for a long time.

They have good players and I like a lot of their players I would not care if any of them wanted to come to my teams I have nothing against them I just do not like how Manchester City run their team.

Inconsistency is an old Arsenal disease that is now starting to recur and that is why there are still many who doubt Arsenal can win this season even though they are in the lead, after successfully leaving Manchester City with a large enough point difference, now Arsenal are starting to get strong pressure after the guardiola squad managed to cut the difference in points is two, there are still many strong opponents of course it will allow Arsenal to slip in a few matches later, apart from that there is still a match between Manchester city vs Arsenal, which makes Manchester City chances even greater to win the championship this season than Arsenal.

Arsenal is a very favorite team in terms of counter attack. However, although Arsenal is a favorite team in the English Premier League, they are currently not playing very well at the defense level. They proved in the last match that they have a weakness in defence. Arsenal have retained their position at number one in the English Premier League so far. And Manchester City is in the second position of the points table with only 2 points less. So if Arsenal do not perform well in the upcoming matches then they may lose their number one ranking position.

I think Asernal have a better chance to finish the season on the top leaders board and even though Manchester city is the defending champions it doesn't make any difference but since luck and chances have placed Asernal at the top of the league table twice.
