Chelsea are still doing very bad and their next game is against Tottenham away. There is another game in which they are likely to lose points again I'm afraid. Tottenham are also not a very consistent team this season actually but I don't think they would lose this game home. While Chelsea are this much vulnerable they would also like to take advantage of the situation.

Another tough game for chelsea. I don't even know how chelsea will able to win against totenham if the team keeps performing so bad like that. I guess that if chelsea has no chance to win against totenham right now. Chelsea is even worst compared with soton and how can chelsea win against totenham if chelsea was not able to win against soton. Chelsea is only showing us how a team that managed by a clown coach was playing. you said totenham is not consistent but it has a better position compared with chelsea and so, i see no chance for chelsea for sure.

They lost to Southampton, that alone shows that they are really not good enough to beat any team at any given moment and I am guessing that they will have hard time beating anyone at this point. I am not putting against them that they could lose to ALL teams if they play this way, there is no team that they could win. It is weird considering they spent so much money, never seen before.

This is the first time in football history that someone spent 500+ million in a single year and still ended up being this bad, and that says so much to me. I am not saying owner is the issue, but whoever is working for that team below the owner level should be fired at this point.

Yep, this is different from usual because in the last 16 phase it seems that the EPL team is in a bad condition.
Manchester City is one that I regret, although indeed in this case maybe Pep already knew that he could take advantage of Leg 2 later but let this match become a draw and without making any changes from the first half to the end of the second half it's like not showing any intention to win and this is really bad for a club like Manchester City.

Even if they are confident at the Etihad but letting this game go to a draw actually I think it's a little too much when they should be capable of more than that.

One of the bad performance of the season, been Haaland in our squad without Debruyne is a problem, it always looks like they are having red card if he is included in the squad. In the second half the tempo of the game changed..so I think he was afraid if he made changes the fresh legs won't be able to be on the same speed with Leipzig players.

The absence of Debruyne affected Manchester city performance, as he is a key player in the club. It was unbelievable when Leipzig took over the match in the second half,and drew the match. If can't make goals on his own,he depends more on De bruyne to net the post.

I don't expect any mistakes from Arsenal this week. The win over Aston Villa was really important for them to start the recovery phase. Because things started to go really bad for them until this victory. But they need to make this winning streak continue from now on. Leicester are one of the most unbalanced and unpredictable teams in the league. The 4-1 win over Tottenham is a good example really.

But Arsenal can beat them anyway with their much stronger strategies and game. They just need to be aware in defense not to give hope to Leicester.

During the year Leicester City had the best form in the premier league after so many games unbeaten, they couldn't stand Arsenal who was managed by Arsene Wenger. I doubt they would stand a chance to do so now against a side thays far better than them.
Leicester will strive while Arsenal will thrive. I'm sure of them winning this game. It's so many years gone and they still yet to win the Premier League and besides the league is no farmers league.

Arsenal has all it takes to win the league from the most challenging side Manchester City. My bet is they're winning Leicester City.

Arsenal vs Leicester City will be one interesting game and something tells me it will be as interesting as the game between Arsenal and Aston Villa away at Villa park. Arsenal will be looking to continue their bounce back when they face Leicester City in the weekend, the first leg tie ended in Arsenal's favor and we may see that same outcome be repeated this Saturday.

Sometimes Leicester can performing well at their home ground and the latest is Tottenham were humiliated by them so Arsenal should be aware to this record because although last week Arsenal can earn 3 points from their opponent but i can see Arsenal still unable reach to their top performance again and even Aston Villa almost be steal points from them before their goalkeeper Martinez has did a mistakes which is help Arsenal to win the game

Arsenal Performed very well during this season in the beginning and they are in first place in the league also if they could continue this performance this winning the games even Machester City couldn't race in the premier league with them but after losing a few points Mikel Arteta and his players are very much near to lose their place on the league, especially after the match we saw from Machester City. They are currently two points ahead with one game less than Machester City.

Arsenal have to work a little harder to secure or move away from Man City, Arsenal we know are only 2 points away from Man City, seeing from the last 5 matches Arsenal have not been very consistent from their last 5 matches, they even lost to Man City a few weeks ago, which made them just 2 points apart from Man City, of course this will be Homework for Mikel Arteta, to build enthusiasm for Arsenal to win the League this season, it's not easy but Arsenal must be able to win the next game against Leicester, if no then Arsenal will be displaced by Man City for a while..

When Manchester city defeated Arsenal 3-1, I wasn’t sure Manchester city would go far without dropping points but Arsenal’s weekend got even better when Manchester City could only draw 1-1 with Nottingham Forest, putting Arsenal two points clear with a game in hand. Even though the gap is 2 points now, I feel there would be more slip-ups for both sides as the pressure mounts towards the end of the season. I see Arsenal going on a good run of matches to strengthen their lead at the top. Let's hope they are lucky with injuries to Thomas, Saka and Zinchenko. If these guys stay fit and Gabriel Jesus returns, then that's it.

I'm surprised that no English club won their 1st round of the UCL knockouts stage. Because yesterday's game against Leipzig was really tough, I'm proud of Man City for fighting. The absence of De Bruyne in the squad is indeed a very big scourge, even Haaland doesn't move at all because of the lack of supply of balls for him.
On the other hand, when they said they were afraid of their performance in the second half, they should have made changes when they talked about their worries.
He even calmly went into the second half without doing anything which is a bit uncharacteristic of Manchester City in my opinion.

Even though this result is still pretty good for them, a draw for them in the first leg clearly makes their condition a little different because with this, doubts will resurface.

That is indeed an interesting observation. There were probably some nice combination bets you could have made a lot of money with. For example, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, none of the teams will win their first game in the Champions League in the knockout stage.

That sounds like a tough call to me. Chelsea I didn't expect to win, but still even if only by chance the probability that none of those three win their game seems to  be pretty low.

If you look at the games individually, the only game that was really surprising was the game between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Chelsea and Manchester City will be fine, but the real deal will take place for Liverpool in their next Premier League game. There we will see whether they can deal with the situation mentally or not.

It shouldn't be a surprise to you because it is the reflection of their performance in the English Premier League. This is quite unfortunate because the EPL have always been a strong and competitive League but most top teams seems to be struggling. For this season apart from Arsenal and maybe Newcastle United other teams are just struggling to play up to expectation.
Manchester City might qualify for the next round of the Champions League because they played very well against Leipzig and got a draw. But I doubt the abilities of Chelsea and Liverpool to overtime their losses and qualify for the quarter finals. Both teams have been performing poorly in the EPL and they have been struggling to win matches against lowly rated side. Liverpool's team seems to have lost its attacking prowess after the sell of Mane, while Chelsea is struggling to blend it's harvest of top class stars and to cope with it's management change

The last game they won they might have scored a lot of goals but I do not think they can keep getting away with the defending. The manager needs to decide if he wants entertaining football or if he wants to compete for the title against Manchester City if he wants to compete they cannot go all out attack like they have been doing because their defense is not good enough. They need to sit behind the ball and wait for counter attacking opportunities. They have players like Saka who are made for counter attacking and atm they are not playing to the strengths they have the best attack in the Premier League but their defense is what caused them to lose 3 of their games recently.

RB Leipzig defended better I think they were struggling with the pace that Manchester City were playing at in the 1st half but Manchester City could not keep up and their stamina showed. That is when RB Leipzig was allowed to get back in the game. When they got the goal for a draw they just defended and concentrated on getting the draw instead of pushing for a 2nd which I think was a good choice because Manchester City came alive again when RB scored the goal.

Manchester City have a easy couple of weeks before the 2nd leg so they should be rested and have some of their injured players back which will make the difference imo.

The problem with Arsenal they do not have the needed money to invest for players intended for backups because we only buy players that can fit into our 1st team and then we sell the players that no longer are 1st team but have too big contracts to play as a back up then as the season gets longer we start losing our 1st team players because of injuries and the teams that can afford to pay for back up options start going above us. I think Arsenal need to concentrate on their back up options instead of trying to buy 1 player that makes our 1st team better. If we get 2/3 players that play as a back up but does not drop the quality too much when they are playing I think we would have more success against Manchester City and Manchester United.

perhaps that is what many observers and fans think. especially in a draw condition, making substitutions to refresh the attack line, which should be able to benefit Man City.

Arsenal are truly lucky again to have retain their first position, Manchester City having the champions league to focus on is really something that would be of good benefits to arsenal because there attention will be divided and i know certainly for that pep ultimate priority is to win the champions league.

I think that if you were watching press conference and guardiola already clarrified about why he was made such decision for not using his chance to substituting manchester city's player.

I have the opportunity as a rule to make five substitutions. But I am the manager and I apply it and I take it if I want. It's pretty clear that if guardiola has been fully explained to the press why he was taking such decisions. Guardiola has been trying to analyze its opponent before it will be going to the second leg. Guardiola has a hidden reason that none can't even predict it.
